We had such an amazing stay at le Bella, the staff are so helpful and super friendly. Location amazing, so close to all the shops and restaurants, and the room was lovely. I can’t recommend them enough, our favourite place in Sri Lanka! If you get the chance to stay please do!

Customer service: The hotel staff and owner went out of their way to make my stay fantastic! I cannot highlight enough how helpful they were in every aspect - arranging an airport pickup, connecting me with tuk-tuk drivers for day-tours, booking me a cab back to Colombo, etc. And I really enjoyed speaking to them and getting to learn more about them and their lives in Galle. As a solo female traveller, this helpfulness really enabled me to go forth and adventure in Galle with confidence as I knew I could always count on the hotel staff to help me.
Location: The hotel is situated in a prime location - just around the corner from Pedlar Street in Galle Fort, meaning that everything is within walking distance: ATMS, restaurants, shops, and historic landmarks. It's perfect for first-time visitors to Galle.
Accommodation: The hotel itself is charming and my room and bed were super comfortable. The hotel staff gave me all the amenities I requested such as an iron and kettle and even loaned me a phone/laptop charger for my entire stay.
Breakfast: Yummy egg hoppers, toast, and coffee made for a great start every day.
Overall takeaway: I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers and cannot wait for the opportunity to return.

Überaus freundliches und sehr hilfsbereit. Sie waren sehr darauf bedacht das es uns gut geht und immer für einen Spaß zu haben. Wir haben Lebensmittel für unseren anschließenden Segeltörn benötigt und auch da waren sie uns sehr mit günstigen Einkauftipps und Besorgungen behilflich. Zudem ist die Lage super zentral. Absolute weiterempfehlung!!!

Excellent hotel in excellent location!! Beautiful rooms in a very funky area of town. Dilru and his team were so welcoming and accommodating. We stayed there as a family and highly recommend.

De locatie midden in het fort van Galle is ideaal. Je kan alles lopend bekijken. De kamer is ruim en de eigenaar en zijn team zijn enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze runnen een koffie barretje waar je ook lekkere koffie kan krijgen.
We zaten in een kamer aan de voorkant waar tot laat ‘s nachts live muziek te goed te horen was. Het ontbijt was prima, maar zou wat fruit kunnen gebruiken.

De locatie is top. Het hotel ligt in de oude stad vlak bij de vuurtoren.
De airco maakt enorm veel lawaai en kan je 's nachts niet gebruiken.
Het ontbijt is heel miniem.
De douche is koud en geeft weinig water.
Het uitzicht vanuit de kamer is nihil. Vanop het balkon kijk je op de daken.
Het personeel is niet vriendelijk.
Geen gekoeld water verkrijgbaar. Zelfs voor een flesje getapt water vragen ze geld.

The position in the old town was great and there were a couple of spots for my TukTuk.
All the staff were great, and a special mention to Lassanthe (sp?).
The pressure in the electric shower wasn't great (but common for Sri Lanka).
There was a TV, but it didn't work (Room 202).
The curtains were only net curtains, so didn't block out any light in the morning.

The location is fantastic - right inside the Fort area. The hosts were very welcoming and prompt. The old world charm is intact. The entrance to the building is also a cafe run by the hosts. So, food and drinks are readily at disposal.
Water supply is a little troubling. Force of water from the shower is too feeble and runs dry now and then. Also, running hot water was not available. We had to manage with whatever the water temperature was.
Asides, all 3 charging points in the room were not working. We had to manage with the plug point in the common area. While the hosts offered to have it mended, timings did not work out. But we would have liked the fact that this matter was checked prior to allotting us the room.

The breakfast was good and the foods are so good for the affordable price♥️ the owner Mr.lasantha offered us a welcome drink passion fruit it was so good🤍 we tried spegatti,mojito, pina colada and nutella milkshake it was delicious.. rooms are so comfy and we stayed at room no 101 with balcony view it was good and spacious ... Their hospitaly was damn good😊

The bathroom could be better planned. The shower was too close to the toilet and the whole floor got wet. The next person using it had to walk in on a wet floor. You should at least have a long handled squeegee for us to clear the floor of water after each use.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, good traditional breakfast on our second morning, good location, clean, AC in the room. Great service overall.
We had some issues with the AC (power cut in the area, so was a quick fix once it came back on) and the shower. First no water, then too much pressure so the knob fell off and water sprayed from the wall. The staff were super helpful and gave us access to another shower room straight away while they quickly fixed it.

Absolute value for money, owners were very sweet and always tried to make us feel welcome and at home. Location fantastic and the breakfast was also great!
The facilities are a little dated but still functional and clean. Still absolutely worth it for the price you pay!

Hosts were helpful and very friendly. Breakfast made me fall in love with srilankan omlete.
Room was big and tidy, with a giant comfortable bed, big desk for work and woking AC. Anti-mosquito device and extension cord were also already in the room, which was very convinient.
During our stay wi-fi was slow and unusable. Also the cieling fan had only two options - 0 and 5. There were minor problems with hot water.

Very good location and the superb owners were friendly and helpful. They gave us good breakfast and had excellent taxi connections to ferry us around.

The house owners are very supportive and friendly.The property is located in the galle fort and all restaurants and supermarkets are within walking distance.

The location is perfection. This has a homestay vibe with a comfortable and clean room with some character. Incredible value for a night in Galle Fort. We had to catch an early train and the family made us an excellent breakfast at the crack of dawn. This is a great choice for an overnight, no frills but all you need. The location for value can’t be beat.
