Loved the fantastic see view

Paid for park, which wasn't made clear when booking room

It was a last minute plan and we were very lucky that there were just the last 2 rooms left for me and my family to stay. I was so grateful to the entire team for looking after us at those wee hours in the night.

That they could only offer limited rooms.

The hotel staff were very friendly, polite, welcoming & attentive, We were upgraded to a large sea view room, which was warm, comfortable, clean, with a large shower. A good choice of continental breakfast & hot food cooked to order. The food was of a good quality & again, a prompt service too. The central beach front location provides easy access to the promenade, shops & restaurants. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Limited & chargeable on site parking, no room service was provided (even though it is offered), very small bath towels. The hotel is looking a little tired ( but is currently undergoing refurbishment by the new owners).

Staff were excellent and property very clean. Loads of lovely fluffy towels 👍

We were in room 12 and it was cold . The hotel elsewhere was warm .

Check-in: Great location on the seafront. I was well met at the reception and guided to the room. The room (single) was neat, clean and tidy. Breakfast: The dining room was well set out with a good choice of self-service options and breakfast was cooked to order. Staff were attentive and polite.

The hotel sign was very difficult to see and I went past it twice before it was pointed out to me. Parking spaces are mixed in with residential spaces so it was difficult to know where to park. The bed was a bit 'rickety'. Stable enough but it's base needs some TLC. There was no handbook with details of hotel services and local amenities, trips, etc.

Location was great

The room smelt strange and the shower had hair in. The bathroom was so small and the shower pressure was non existent, as well as the door swinging off its hinges. Generally just uncomfortable

Staff very friendly and helpful. Located in the centre of the esplanade and easy access to the town centre.

Our bathroom was quite cramped and the show water pressure was poor.

The staff were lovely, friendly and attentive. It was my birthday and they made it special by upgrading my room. The rooms were freshly painted with brand new carpets and was really clean.

It would have been lovely to have had a functional bar so we could have had a drink on site but it didnt spoil our stay.

very good, excellent service. lcation was good for us, as we wanted to be near the ferry departures.

room was cramped, especially the bathroom.toilet dirty but reception did try and get it cleaned to no avail. Also toilet seat fixings were broken, making it loose.

We had breakfast on one of the days, we required a gluten free breakfast and a vegetarian breakfast and the staff went out of their way to provide. Both breakfasts were delicious.

(Room 50)Could do with double sockets each side of the bed as most people like to plug their phones in overnight to charge and use as clock/alarm. There was only one socket on one side of the bed and therefore only one bedside lamp too. A little frustrating, but didn’t spoil our stay at all!

Have stayed in Best Western hotels before. and this was definitely of a lower standard. Didn't read booking details properly so expected choice of continental or cooked breakfast. Also I thought I had paid for breakfast included, which it was not. However, hotel staff kindly overlooked this.

Interior of hotel looked a little scruffy (but clean) although it has first class position right on sea front. Very poor quality furnishings in front lounge. Upstairs had recently been painted and overpowering smell of ?paint. I was on 2nd floor, room 51. Shower door did not close properly. Water leaked from between shower head and hose. I reported this to reception when checking out.

Staff very obliging. The hotel room was very comfortable and very warm with a fabulous view .

Breakfast for Gluten free. It would have been nice to have had Gluten free cereals for breakfast I felt this was below usual Hotel standards Overall experience I would definitely stay again.

Our room was clean the reception was very welcoming and the property felt very cosy, the view from our beach view window ( which they upgraded us to) was amazing. They also kindly let us stay a few extra hours in our room after we explained that we had a table booked for later on.

The property is in a perfect location to be getting about Exmouth- right on the sea front, to the point you can hear the waves from your room. Staff were fabulous, smiley and proactive. Bathroom was large, shower and bath. Comfy beds with decent pillows. Excellent view- see pic

The heating was a little too warm out first night of stay but easily sorted once we had spoken to the staff.

Very spacious room with comfortable fittings. Very clean and well decorated. Very friendly staff.

The hotel is in the middle of a refurb and had no central heat...the only heating was a portable oil filled radiator which did not heat the room so was very cold...we were out on the top floor with no lift!

A few minor issues, light shade damaged looks tatty, curtain on right needs hanging properly. Toilet roll holder a problem toilet roll falls off if you touch it. Towel rail not working even though turned on.

I booked via booking. Com and there was mention that the BWH was currently under renovation and that the services that were advertised were limited. The main heating system was turned off, and all there was in our room was a small electric heater. This was not adequate enough to heat the whole room. There were no bedside lights due to the lack of power points. Breakfast was just a cold buffet, and to top it all, the lift was out of order, and we were put in a room on the second floor. When you are in your later stages of life, this is not good. We were only informed about the renovation taking place after I had paid on arrival. We found out about the lack of breakfast choice on the first morning. Whenever you left your room, the corridors were freezing. Very bad experience and would not consider the BWH again.
