About this cottage rental
Our guesthouse is a 600 Sq Ft Amish Built Cottage on the corner of our 50 acre farm. We offer a simple, cozy getaway for family, outdoor enthusiasts, hunters & fishermen. Just minutes from the Village of Hammondsport & Award Winning Wineries! We offer free visits to our farm to see the animals. In the warm months, we have horses, pigs & chickens. Kids love to help feed the animals & get eggs from our hens! All houses in our area are on well water. We updated in 2022 with a water softener + carbon filter but there is a slight sulfur smell while running hot water. The rental and location were great for my son and I coming to visit family. The host was very responsive to all of my message and made sure I had no issues entering upon my arrival. Also was good about shoveling snow paths and porches to make our stay safer.

This place was exactly what we needed and the price was perfect for our budget. Me and my wife needed a simple, no-to-low frills place to use as base camp for our vacation. Joe was very available for questions and we were very happy with our stay

We had a wonderful visit. The cottage was perfect for the me and my parents. And a great location to the surrounding finger lakes.
The property owners were very responsive to any questions and made the check in and out process so easy. They have Satalite TV and Internet which filled in the gaps after dark. Would stay there again in a heart beat.

Had a great time... The place is great and not far from the lake. Joe is a spectacular host... we stay here every year now for our annual fishing trip.. Plus it's affordable.

Stayed here with my family (4 of us) in July. Joe is a fantastic host! Very easy to get in touch with and very responsive. The house sleeps two in the bedroom (queen bed), two more on the pullout sofa bed, and room for 1 more on a folding twin bed that Joe keeps in the closet. We used all beds because my two teenagers didn't want to share the sofa bed. Joe was nice enough to give us and some other family members a tour of his farm down the road! Kids loved the horses and chickens and hearing everything Joe does to raise these animals.

The cabin was as described…perfect size for the two of us. We found it to be very clean with a very comfortable bed and soft sheets. Location was very close to Hammondsport, but I wish it had been father from the main road. I guess from the description, I had assumed it was more private on a farm property. Joe was very responsive and made sure to check in frequently to see if we had any problems. Check in and check out was easy. I wish I could say that we would stay again, but the smell of the water was too much for us both. Even though it was explained in the listing that there was a sulfur smell to the water (and we did go buy gallons of water for drinking and brushing our teeth) it was so smelly that it was hard to feel/smell clean after a shower. I’m no city slicker but the smell was too much for us. Otherwise the place was great!!

Lovely little cabin as big as any hotel room with a nice fire pit and big yard, which you don’t get with a hotel! Joe was VERY responsive to any questions we had and everything was just as presented in description.

Great trip!
Wonderful stay with our dog. Great location! We contacted Joe before our trip to ask if we could drop off our boat in the driveway before check in. He got back to us quickly and said no problem. The parking area was great for a boat. The rental was a perfect size for us and our dog. We will definitely want to stay there again!

Our stay
We enjoyed our stay,easy check in and clean Couple of things maybe could be listed differently. Linens included but bring a blanket if you use the pull out couch, and fridge is small. I also didn’t realize no stove, buy did have a hot plate with two burners. Short distance to hammondsport. We would stay again

Cute, Comfortable Cottage
Excellent service. Very nice modern, convenient amenities. Located easy drive from Hammondsport and Watkins Glen, both adorable lakefront towns with lovely shops.

We had a couple of days of rain, but there is much to do in the immediate area, and it's a short distance to Corning.
The inside of the cabin is cozy and very clean, with everything you need to make a meal and clean up afterward. The side yard was perfect for games, and the firepit is ideally located in the front yard. Joe and his lovely family brought us over wood and saved us the trouble of getting it from somewhere else, and it was reasonably priced.
It was a charming and relaxing stay, I would recommend the property, and we would likely visit again.

There's a fridge, microwave and one of those portable stove tops for cooking as well as a grill. We got rained on the entire time so I was so thankful to have internet and satellite TV since we were stuck inside.
