Barefoot Sands is an elevated beachfront 3 bedroom home overlooking the clear turquoise water of the Bahamas. Down the steps from the sundeck and covered porch, you will find the beach and your own tiki hut. The home is the perfect getaway for friends and families looking for an unforgettable beach vacation. The home is situated on a perfect beach for all activities including fishing, kayaking and snorkeling right in front of the house. The house is equipped with everything you need: flat screen TV's in all bedrooms, cable, wifi, undercounter ice maker, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor gas grill, kayaks and paddleboards. One bedroom has a king bed while the other two have queens. Each bedroom has water views and its own access to the large covered porch and sundeck. There are also a couple airbeds at the house. Plenty of bath towels are supplied along with an ample supply of beach towels. This home is the perfect vacation spot for anyone wanting white sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise water with a more secluded atmosphere. You won't find an active night life...but you will find amazing sunsets, seashells, sea life, a great beach for long walks and some of the best fishing in the world. We now have a skiff available for rent as well! Our Carolina Skiff JV15 is equipped with a 25hp outboard motor and will allow you to explore the waters around the house. You can visit some small islands, snorkel and fish at some of the reefs. The rental cost is not included with the house and will be added separately. Flyfishing for bonefish is on the bucket list of many fishermen and they are found in the flats around the house. We will supply all the information you need to have an amazing time in Abaco. Andrew, our offsite manager lives in Cherokee and can assist in setting up several activities (at an additional cost) including: meal catering, pre-arrival grocery shopping, offshore and bone fishing trips, island hopping and snorkeling trips. Notes: Please understand the house is elevated and will require the ability to climb stairs. Renting a car is a necessity and it will give you the opportunity to explore the island. Travel disclaimer - The Bahamas no longer requires COVID testing or proof of vaccination to enter. Masking requirement has been removed as well.

Pictures don’t do it justice. This home is in immaculate condition. Our fantastic host Jack, encourages adventure and assists in the island experience. His communication is excellent. We highly recommend this piece of paradise to any and everyone.

First let me say that the pictures do not do this house justice. It is an absolutely fantastic home. We arrived at low tide, looked out the window and just said wow! Being a porch snob I must say this is the best porch I’ve been on. The kitchen is all upper end appliances and trust me the ice maker is the boss. The communications from the owner are exceptional, and Andrew the caretaker is always available.
We have been going to the Abacos since the 90’s and Barefoot Sands has risen to our number one spot. We loved it!,

Everything from start to finish was perfect! Jack maintained open communication with us from the time of booking until departure. Andrew, the caretaker was fantastic as well. The house was immaculate, clean, and well maintained. It had plenty of room for our family of five. The kitchen is high end and fully stocked. The location, well, the location was absolutely stunning. Arguably the best of any house in the neighborhood. The sandbar right off the beach was accessible any time of day, but it is fully exposed a low tide and you can explore hundreds of yards in just inches of water. You'll find tons of starfish and conch, an occasional ray will swim by, and we also walked the shallow water next to turtles a couple of times. Words and pictures can't really do it justice. See it for yourself. Highly recommend.

Absolutely stunning property and location! The house is spotless and well appointed, everything you will need in the kitchen and comfortable beds with high quality bedding. Communication with the owner was quick and most informative and more than that it was SO friendly and helpful. We are a family of four and it was great to have the kids have their own bedroom and bath. We almost never left the property as everything you need is at the property and you seriously have the nicest spot on the beach with any water activities directly in front of the house. You can snorkel past a sandbar that reveals itself at low tide and you can walk out to it without getting your knees wet, truly magical to see this happening. Also, it's a quiet beach, you will not notice your neighbors. Jack has a welcome packet with everything you need to know and more. One tip I will suggest is that if you are traveling from the US and have a connection in Nassau give yourself plenty of time. I had two and a half hours between flights and we missed our connection(also with delays). If you arrive internationally in Nassau you will need to exit the airport (after customs and baggage) then go to the domestic terminal and checkin and go through security for that next flight.
My family is in agreement that this was the nicest family vacation EVER. We have every hope of returning soon!
