This home was beautifully decorated and well-equipped with all the kitchen supplies you need for cooking during your stay. All the toys and games downstairs and in the game closet were a big hit with the kids. It was a very clean and comfortable stay. One of our guests has mobility challenges and being able to use the lift made this a perfect place to stay. We would definitely stay again!

We had the best time on our trip and staying here was the main reason. Beautiful house with every accommodation you could ask for. Very clean, open concept with a big kitchen and really cool outdoor area upstairs and downstairs. Very short walk to the beach and the hosts provided great toys, chairs, games, etc. We will absolutely be back! 6 adults and 3 kids slept comfortably and had plenty of room. The host thought of everything we would need and had it provided (down to labels of where everything was located!) Thank you for an awesome stay!!! See you again soon!

We had three families of four with kiddos ranging from 2 to 11. This house had everything we needed to accommodate our stay and make for an easy, breezy weekend. The kids enjoyed the bunk room and the adults enjoyed the comfy living/dining area for catching up and relaxing after a long day. The elevator lift made easy work of transporting items to the main floor. The downstairs outdoor area was a nice reprieve after a hot day at the beach—we had most of our lunches here while taking a beach break. The downstairs shower and bathroom were AMAZING and made everything so much easier to leave the beach at the beach. We would absolutely stay again.

We had a GREAT stay at Jimmy Hooks. The house provided everything we needed and we were shocked by all the amenities offered. The proximity to the beach was awesome! Nice quiet area and we loved it and will be back!

I booked Jimmie Hooks for a family summer vacation for my family of 4, as well as my brother and sister and their family. To start, our hostess Nancy had good communication; first to let us know we could check in early. Yes!! And she made sure we arrived ok and were able to access the property. The home was very clean. We cooked and the kitchen had all the supplies we needed. Oh, and there is a grill outside too! The place had it all. We had 3 small kids and 3 teenagers in our group and there was plenty of entertainment for all. From board games to books etc. We didn't have infants or toddlers in our group but the place was equipped with high chairs, a pack, and plays etc. The same was true when we geared up to head to the beach. All beach amenities are included in the home, tents boogie boards, beach toys, an umbrella, and a cart to pull it all. And btw...the beach was only a 2-minute walk. No need for a car or golf cart. Upon returning from the beach we all relished the outdoor shower that has hot and cold water along with shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. The bar outside was a nice touch. I felt like we had our own little private party oasis. The neighborhood was very nice and everyone was so friendly smiling and waving as they pass by. We all agreed this was the best beach house to rent for families with children of all ages. Will definitely recommend Jimmie Hooks to my family and friends.

First, the hospitality shown by the owner was seriously exceptional. The communication from the owner (Nancy) was top notch. Nancy was extremely helpful providing information about the property with precise details to aid in making sure my family and I had the best experience possible. I was very grateful for the communication. The property’s location is perfect for beach lovers like myself. Just a 2 minute walk to the beach; not to mention a convenient store, liquor store, and a pizza place all within walking distance. Bottom line, this is the absolute best beach house I have ever stayed in. Beautiful house with everything stocked with what you need to have a fabulous vacation stay with your family. This experience was a 10 out of 10 for me and my family! We will certainly be back!

We had the greatest time at Jimmy Hooks! The accommodations were spacious and there were so many areas to enjoy and have fun, both kids and adults alike. The walk to the beach was easy and the hosts offered everything you could need - a wagon for toting items, beach chairs, boogie boards, towels, sand toys. The list goes on and on, not to mention the indoor amenities - games, books, a fully stocked kitchen. Top it off, the hosts were very friendly and attentive, making sure all went smoothly. We are already excited to go back!

We stayed here for Christmas with our college and adult kids and everyone had a wonderful time. The kitchen was perfectly stocked, the beds were comfortable and the overall layout was exactly what we were hoping for. It was an easy walk to the beach and we so appreciated all of the beach items left for our use. We really just needed to bring ourselves and our christmas presents-it was so nice to not have to worry about packing EVERYTHING. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful home in a great neighborhood
This house was perfect for our large family. The host was in touch before and during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. The house had so many thoughtful touches, especially for those with young children - baby gate on stairs (that weren't in the way if you didn't need them), pack and play, and games. It also had a fully stocked kitchen, canopies and toys for the beach, corn hole and ping pong downstairs. It's closer to the main road than the beach, but it is a very short walk to the beach and I love the Pirates Beach neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

The only complaint is we ended having to go buy paper towels and garage bags before our trip was done because we used all that were given. We will definitely be staying here if we find out way to Galveston again.

Amazing Beach Home Stay!
We were 6 adults and 1 baby staying at Jimmy Hooks for a long weekend and we had an amazing time! The house was spectacularly clean and well equipped. The kitchen had everything you might need and more and there was also everything we could possibly think of for the baby as well (pack n play, high chair, baby toilet seat, baby gates on the stairs). The games on the patio were so much fun, as was the hot tub. There were a ton of beach toys and chairs as well as a wagon to transport everything the short distance to the beach. We lucked out with beautiful weather and spent a nice afternoon throwing a frisbee by the water. Overall this place is 10 stars out of 5 and I would highly recommend it as a nice relaxing getaway. We can’t wait to return!
