All was really nice! Nice pool, staff very reactive, very clean. We rent a scooter (Yamaha moto, not an automatic) from them and it was perfect to go to Mount Silam.

Nice building, very comfortable room with nice balcony, the small swimming pool, nice common area, and very helpful staff. When our driver was late due to huge traffic jams, they gave us a ride to the airport instead!

Nothing, really. Currently there is no hotel restaurant, but it is easy to order food via grab and eat it in the common area, as the owners suggested to us.

The host was very generous and provided us with a delicious meal the first night we stayed, and breakfast in the mornings. He gave us lots of advice and drove us into town when we had a scheduled transfer. The facilities were lovely and it was great having a pool to cool down.

The area around the homestay felt a bit sketchy, which made it feel a bit unsafe to walk to find food or walk along the roads.

We had an excellent stay. The view of their garden and pool was beautiful and the rooms were nice and spacious. It was a pity, that some of the ladies from the staff didn't speak English well, but the owner spoke excellent English. The owner was super friendly, he offered us food on a Sunday evening and he even dropped us off at the bus station.

Superb homestay,clean rooms with nice balcony,we had a pool view. Walking distance do Danum Valley Field Office.Free breakfast,Tea, coffee.. Nice personel. It is nicer in reality than in the pictures.

The owners and staff were great. The place is spotless clean. The ambiance of the house were exactly what we were looking for, homey, green and relaxing.

This place was great! Lovely staff, nice pool and balcony, good internet and hot water.

It’s a bit of a walk to downtown, but you can easily get food delivered or get grab cars if you don’t feel like walking. Definitely nicer to stay out of town anyway.

great room, bathroom with shower and toilet, balcony, view, garden with a pool. However it was possible to walk 1,5 km to the centre though without pedestrian along the road.

At many occasions Grab and Maxim rejected the call for pick up, because trafic jam in the centre. Unfortunately noise from lower section or pool sitting area echos if people talk or kids are playing loud and is heard in the bedroom in early morning or late evening.it would be appreciate it bit more like breakfast. Toast with some sweet stuff was a bit unfulfilling. e.g if some eggs and simple salad were vailable it would make it much better.

This place is a gem. it’s surrounded by trees and have a beautiful green view around. The rooms are lovely, clean and comfy. The pool is a plus considering the hot weather, nice place to chill and cool down. The owner and the girls working there are lovely!

Serving food in this place would make it perfect! restaurants aren’t really walking distance and grab is the best option.

We stayed here before and after our trip to Danum Valley, and had great stays both nights. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool area was lovely. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and it has a really lovely homely feel. It’s on the outskirts of town with beautiful views from the terrace upstairs, and still easy to get into town and a couple of great places for dinner close by. Breakfast was available and plenty of tea/coffee.

lovely pool, Tio and his staff were very helpful and friendly it’s lovely and relaxed and quiet we had the place to ourselves and enjoyed the solitude the restaurant and local bar about 15 mins walk were great fun to meet locals and have cheap beers

enjoyed it all. it’s a bit far out of the main town but we liked that.

Lovely place and very nice owner, you really feel immediately comfortable with the environment and people here! just 5 min walking from the house you can have a stroll around a real village they sell fruits and snacks, that was a real authentic experience!

the gate was lock at night , and when call the staff to open the gte they ask whre r we goin , like in hostel . hahaha but nevermind , the staff just open the gate after asking tht question . but for me , customer should be free going out anytime they want

It was a nice swimming pool, a lot of green with different plants. the staff is really nice, their English is not that good you need to use google translator but they are patient. because of the language barrier we did not know we had a included breakfast (: its basic, but still quite nice. The water is warm and the balcony is nice (shared because its one big balcony along side the whole house). you get 3 pillows on your bed, I really like to sleep with one extra so that’s a bonus. A working AC was also nice so probs for that.

the beds are really hard, some might like this but we do not. The location is hard to find and a bit remote, but you also do not want to stay in the centre so you are maxim/grab depended.
