The staff of the hotel was nice and helpful.

We should have had a private room with a bathroom, but the bathroom had no door, therefore we cannot feel comfortable there and decided to use shared toilets. The equipment was basic and no hot water :( The location is in the middle of nowhere, so you have to have your car: Uber or taxi do not work at all. The hotel looks like being repaired, rooms are clean, but the area around is quite messy. it doesn't worth the money we paid.

What I failed to mention my last review? My Espanol is poquito (little). The staff worked with me. Duane speaks Ingles (English), and pretty well. Rosana and Monica just so helpful too. Omar the cook? Excellent too. The staff as a whole made me feel like family my long stay. This property so surprised this traveler. The kindness, the serenity and the darn wonderful included breakfast and the excellent coffee? Well so wonderfully caught me pleasantly off guard. A few night's stay is weeks now. The rate so genuinely fair and a buy, mho. As a new property there were a few hiccups, power off for for 10 minutes a few times, wifi too. But both rectified immediately. And I stayed for a few weeks! So no big deal. The family atmosphere, the tranquility of this just outside of town mountainside Hotel and the excellent food (any meal)? Well again turned my days stay into weeks as I searched for an apartment in Boquete. Why go back to paying more and staying downtown, when this growing and young resort offers wonderful accommodations, views and such memorable experiences! And there you have part two of my review. The co managers Duane and Rosanna are the best. Duane has a bit more knowledge of English, but both are excellent with Spanglish. Both made my stay wonderful. Treated me as family. My room cleaner, Yolanis was excellent as well as server Monica. The staff, atmosphere and food make this mountainside Hotel a must! It truly is a wonderful family ranch atmosphere. I know. I spent nearly three weeks here. 😊

This hotel is a handful of miles outside Boquete, to the SE. It is into the mountains, a bit higher in elevation. It is a Lodge with 13 rooms, with an additional cabin of rooms being built. As a Seattle and LA city man most of me, what I love about the Bluerock Hotel, is it is surrounded by forest and farm land. I had luxery, while watching goats, chickens do their thing while I enjoyed incredible views. The accomodations are new and fine. As the property is isolated, breakfast is included and lunch and dinner offered on a limited menu. There is also a mini Mart steps from the lodge for any last minute necessities. There is patio dining on two levels, a nice enclosed dining room, a coffee shop, an area (swings etc) for kids also! I have stayed here two weeks, beginning a third. So peaceful and perfect for this city guy! Enjoy too!
