This property is in a great location, walkable to downtown Bar Harbor. QAR is beautiful and from check in to check out hospitality is thoughtful. Many great places to sit outside and enjoy a cup of tea and enjoy time with friends.

QAV seems nicer online than it is in actuality. The bed and linens are nice and it is 'newer' in design and furniture compared to the other options in town but it's a pretty average place without any surprise and delight additions. It is on a quieter street with parking which is nice. If the price for the room we stayed in was closer to $150-180, expectations would be set accordingly. It is not like any of the super dated places which was a relief.
It seems to be a renovated older property which is fine. The fireplace doesnt really function, we were given a duraflame log to use. The breakfast is subpar - muffins, jiff PB and carby breakfast The price does not make sense for the property, but I guess that is Bar Harbor. This is the only place I've stayed there so I can't speak to the quality of the other properties in town.

our stay was great! We arrived in Bar Harbor a hour or so before our room was to be ready, and they were very helpful with at least getting our parking pass so that we can park at the hotel and explore briefly the town while we waited for the room to be ready.

Beautiful property. Liked how it was modernized. Rooms were nice. Beds were comfortable. A little walk into town but we didn't mind.
The bedside tables should be larger. The nice breakfast spread could include fruit, cheeses/meats. LOTS of bread offered. The friendly bartender talked so loud on his phone that we couldn't even hear the couple we were meeting.

nice spacious room, easy check-in, everything well prepared, within 10 minutes walking to downtown
bed is too soft

Proximity to everything. Cleanliness, parking.
The room was way too small. Had we known…

Location to Acadia national park
Room was nicely furnished and bathroom was very nice but no full length mirror. They should have only put in a queen bed. The king bed made it almost impossible to get out of bed on the side of the Air conditioner.

Beautiful rooms and lovely staff greeted with champagne and s cute hidden message under the pillow.
Wish we could have used the fireplace.

It is a great location. Away from the major traffic of town. Not so far that walking to the shops is cumbersome.
The pantry is stocked with coffee and tea (all sorts), all day and evening long.
There was nothing that we didn't like.
Kemiesha was very helpful throughout our stay.

Absolutely lovely interior design - modern and on theme at the same time. Great little pantry section.
The beds are way too soft. I struggle to imagine anyone would prefer a bed this soft!

mattress was not comfortable me

Really interesting hotel made up of five ‘old’ houses with 3-4 rooms per house. Great location being only 5 minutes walk into town with onsite parking.

Extremely clean and comfortable. Updated and modern accents. Helpful staff. Bar on site with friendly bartender, Tommy. Great location close to downtown.

A tea kettle or coffee pot in the room would have been nice given there was a refrigerator. I am unsure if coffee was available 24 hours in the reception area.

loved the staff. Extremely comfortable.
okay so it could have been my mistake when making the reservations but my husband is 90 and in very good health. Our room was in the back and up numerous stairs. Next time I’ll make sure we are on street level. no safety bar in the shower. Room was decorated beautifully. Would definitely stay again.

Beautifully restored property, tastefully decorated rooms, friendly staff, within walking distance
to downtown Bar Harbor.
Although I appreciate the 24-hour coffee service, I still prefer my own coffeemaker in the room. The ‘rum, wine and beer’ bar is lovely, but why not serve drinks in real glasses and make them chargeable to the room?

not much, except location.
it felt like a duplex there was no frills and staff was not pleasant

Wish there were some tables to sit around for evening card games or morning b-fast. We happened to be there when the weather was cool and it would have been nice to have a fire lit in the parlor (there were ashes so think it is a working fireplace)..staff was very friendly.

Location was great, walk to all restaurants and shops! Such a cool and classy place. We loved it!
Seems like a small thing, but the coffee was poor. Breakfast had too many “carb” options. Fruit (cut up), yogurt and smoothies would have been lovely.

Breakfast offerings were the same every day for three days. While good, given the daily rate, they could have upped the offerings of things liked packaged cereal and oatmeal, or offering fresh fruit and such.
Breakfast could have been better, per above. Rates were comparative to the Elmhurst across the street, but that establishment offers home cooked breakfast and the rooms look a bit better in furnishings and quality. Given that this was a bed and breakfast, we expected more family ownership involvement, rather than just hired staff.
