Nestled in Carolina Beach, this charming house for £107 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Who doesn't love a wrap-around rocking chair porch? This is a pet friendly home known as "Nest Egg", and you'll want to invest your time enjoying the close by beach access and rustic charm from a bygone era. There are two bedrooms located on the main level (both have a Queen bed) and two more upstairs (one with a Queen and the other with 3 Twin beds). For extra guests or kids you can also use the Queen-sized sleeper sofa located in the main level Queen bedroom. There are two full bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen to complete this home, along with a separate dining room that seats 4 - perfect for a late night game of Spades! The kitchen table also seats 4 and there are 3 barstools at the kitchen counter. You can't beat Carolina beach for family fun and your family will want to come back often and stay at the "Nest Egg"! ***Note that owner reserves the right to occupy the lower level of the structure with at least a 24 hour notice, but this is a very rare occurrence strictly for maintenance or emergencies.*** Occupancy 11: Sun/Sun rental in Summer. House is right across the street from the beach access which is great. It is on the north end close to Freeman Park which allows dogs all day, can drive on this beach if you have a 4x4. The house is spacious and the wrap around porch is nice. Inside the old girl is tired and in need of a makeover. It’s comfortable but no frills. Water had a very strong sulphur smell the first day which dissipated with use.

My family took our first family vacation in 9 years and we absolutely loved the Nest Egg!! It was in the best location with the beach access across the street. Our kids had an awesome time laughing on the porch and it was a perfect place for us to enjoy each other. Carolina Beach did not disappoint. We will be repeat customers!

the house was clean and very accessible in terms of the beach and getting to it from the main roads. it's an older lady with lots of character such as funky carpet, bespoke decorations, sticky doors, uneven floors and lots of creaks and groans. the water had a strong sulfur smell when we first ran it but that went away. the outdoor shower was cute and great to use coming back from the beach. it has a nice large porch with lots of seating and a table in the corner. for all its charm, my whole family has all said we'd stay here again.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were not happy with the house. There were many structural problems that I’m surprised would pass building codes. The steps were crooked and hard to climb. The ceilings were low and then there were ceiling fans with lights which made them lower!! The TV stand was incredible! The Tv was nailed down to pieces of wood on a cabinet! It really needs an update for the price we paid. We did like the porch and how close we were to the beach access. We were happy with our stay because we were together but not for the house.

Reviewer Comments: The house was dirty and old had spots where the floor was caving in house was very dirty when we arrived dog hair dust in vents look like has never been cleaned kitchen was dirty as well and outlets in kitchen stopped working in the middle of our stay

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is in a great location to the beach however it is extremely dated and had roaches. Supplies in the home that one would expect at a beach rental are lacking. The house cooling system only works in the living room which requires multiple fans everywhere to spread the air. This is obviously known as there are 5-6 portable fans in the house. Multiple ceiling fans shake and we feared they would fall off the ceiling. The front stairs appear to be recently replaced however the slant on them is dangerous as we almost slipped off them multiple times. This is a safety hazard. The furniture in the living room is so worn and needs replacing.
Overall, this rental is horrible and I would never rent it nor would I recommend this rental. It is in desperate need of repairs and upkeep. The only pluses are the location and the large porch to sit on.

Reviewer Comments: We stayed for 6 days and everyday but one the owners showed up to do some project. I'm on vacation to relax not to put up with that. I called the management company to tell them the kind of experience I had. Was told I would get a call back. NO call! So I called again and was told that "It has been dealt with and I should of got email from Morgan" Well guess what no email! The house was like a fraternity house(tape and zip ties for repairs)

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were at this rental 11 years ago and there has been no updates to the furnishings, bathrooms or bappliances. I love the location but the bathrooms are in serious need of updating (zip ties on shower curtain!) The kitchen is not equipped to make anything - not even a decent pan for eggs in the morning. The redid the decking with gates which is a plus for a dog friendly rental, but the stairs have a serious slant to them that makes them difficult to walk up and down. The porch has many rockers which is lovely but no chairs to put around the glass table to sit at- we had to carry the kitchen chairs out to the table to sit around. Also, there is no grill - some websites say there is a grill and some don't so be aware there is not one here! With a little more TLC for the interior furnishings and restocking the kitchen it would be a much better rental.
