Atop a 1.1 hectare hill and overlooking the 17km beachfront of Rethymno, “The Infinite” is a recently renovated mansion only moments from the heart of Rethymno. The Infinite consists of 2 autonomous villas, each measuring 250m2, and situated on the raised ground floor and first floor respectively of a composing neoclassical building. Our guests can enjoy the comfort of 8 bedrooms , 6 bathrooms, 3 fully equipped kitchens (2 in the interior of the house and 1 in the barbecue area ) and 2 spacious living rooms, perfect for a family and/or group of families/friends wanting the privacy of their own space whilst also sharing memorable moments in the retreat's outdoor area: the best of both worlds! * Outside, the dramatic 100m2 infinity pool stretches across 1000m2 of land and boasts panoramic sea views as the pool’s vanishing edges merge the water with sea and sky. The outdoor lounge and kitchen areas go even further to highlight the resort's scenic surroundings. Many of the details within “The Infinite” bear the creative signature of the owners; from the wooden sofas and tables in the outdoor and indoor spaces to the wooden shelf in the entrance of top villa, crafted with the utmost care to provide a serene environment. No “stone” has literally been left unturned, with the owners breathing life into a humble olive stone on the far side of the pool and an old winepress, now doubling as an outdoor pool shower. All in the name of blending in with the retreat’s natural surroundings. The house interior also draws inspiration from clean, minimalist spaces, designed predominantly in earthy tones with few colourful contrasting accents. The recently renovated first floor villa features reclaimed furnishings in materials of wood and brushed and oiled ash. * Two single day/sofa beds in the living room and additional foldable/ portable single beds can be used to accommodate additional guests if needed. For larger groups of over 16 guests, please get in touch to make sure we can fit you all! The retreat’s layout is such that you are forever drawn to the outside space: Pool – A sparkling 100m2 infinity pool dotted with comfy cushion lined sunbeds, sun loungers, white parasols and a gazebo for an extra touch of glamour. Yoga and pilates - For the yoga and pilates fanatics, sessions are organised typically at dawn and sunset, allowing you to take in the breathtaking views and reconnect with nature. Spa - There’s no spa as such, but the Infinite can arrange a variety of stress-relieving massages, brightening facials and beauty treatments in your room or by the pool. Lounge area - The perfect get away for your morning coffee or your much needed evening cocktail drink! You’ll be surprised to know that the top does come off (fairly) easily for a hard to come by city experience, that of gazing at the stars. Outside Kitchen - Nestled beside an 100 year old fig tree, this is probably the dream kitchen, whether you are a cooking aficionado or not! Fully functional (it comes with all basic appliances coffee machine, toaster, fridge etc etc ) and spacious, spread over 100m2 it features a traditional wood fired oven, a barbeque grill, gas stoves and an impressive concrete sink unit. This kitchen is truly the heart of the home, where all your meals ought to be created, fuelling the bodies, minds and souls of your family and friends. Tailored culinary experiences can be organised upon request as well as private Chef services. Other things to note Child friendly We welcome our little friends and hope to be able to make their stay as pleasant as yours! We offer: -baby cot(s) and high chair upon request -table tennis -portable football goal posts, for the aspiring Ronaldos (or indeed Beckhams) of this world - a cute herbal garden besides the outdoor kitchen area which our little farmers are encouraged to water and look after! One-off culinary experiences for our aspiring chefs would also be on the house (where our little chefs would master the basics of pizza making in our wood fired oven!) - a 14m2 children's pool (of course!) - babysitting services (upon request) Additional Features and Services Air conditioning throughout, central heating, electric gate with remote control, general housekeeping, pool cleaning, garden maintenance, and large parking area in front of and within the main house. Extra services available include breakfast, lunch and dinner by a specialist chef and his/her team, daily cleaning, massage, babysitting, hair and beauty treatments as well as car service. We had trolled through hundreds of villas trying to find the perfect holiday spot for 3 families, 12 people in total that would satisfy everyone’s requirements for an ideal holiday together. Having never done this together before it was massively important everyone had something to get excited about. The listing on VRBO promised much, however nothing could have prepared us for the truly splendid and magical experience we were about to enjoy over 11 nights at the infinite. I personally was excited about the outdoor cooking facilities including an Al Forno oven, being an Italian chef of nearly 30 years. I had no idea that alongside the kitchen was a huge herb garden and behind the house lay large vegetable garden. A particular highlight for me was being presented with a basket of freshly picked items by the owner, Nikos. Both Georgia and Nikos were beautifully humble and helpful. This is their house and the care they have taken to maintain fit to such an enviable standard is evident throughout. The pool is magnificent, the outdoor lounge area and all other amenities felt custom designed for our needs. Our hosts were ever helpful throughout our stay and the area itself offers plenty to experience outside the comfort and tranquility of the Infinte. We didn’t want to leave. I’m sure nobody does….. And we would love to return. The kids of varying ages and adults alike have all made memories for a lifetime. Thank you Georgia and Nikos, Luciano

Simply spectacular!

Simply spectacular!

This was a holiday much needed and what a beautiful villa to have it in! Super spacious and the beds, so much more comfortable than at our home (in all 7 bedrooms)! The infinity pool was the highlight, really beautiful when pool water and sea merge. Thank you Maria and Georgia for the lovely cooking experience at the outside kitchen! We are planning already our next holiday!
