Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unusual locations: Leaving the airport take the dual carriageway in the direction of Funchal (road known as the Via Rápida). Leave the via rapida at exit 13 signposted Boa Nova/P.Ferreiro. When you reach the T junction, turn right and after 600 metres turn right, signposted to S.Gonçalo. Drive for approx 800 metres and at the end of this road turn right.
