In all fairness all rental houses are beat up a bit. This one was definitely the most beat up we’ve stayed in. The house has some issues with rotten wood and windows and when it rains water runs in the top of the door frame in the master bedroom. The house desperately needs a deep cleaning. There is stuff all over the walls in the bathroom and all the corners are very dirty. I removed small toilet paper balls from the wall around the toilet when we arrived and toothpaste from the wall by the bathroom sink.The amount of garbage and debris between the couch cushions was shocking. The master bed is quite comfortable but the rest of the beds are rough. Some of the frames are propped up on bricks and every time you move the whole frame bangs. The outdoor space is what saves this house. It’s gorgeous! The sunrises and sunsets are picturesque. The grill area is also great. We payed for pool heat but be aware that the system only allows you to heat either the hot tub or the pool. It won’t do both at once so be prepared to manually cycle them if you want the pool to be warmer. Also this is a residential area so there is not a lot of effort put into the surrounding area. The property directly to the left is abandoned and in a state of disrepair. Obviously this isn’t the owner’s fault but just something to be aware of. Overall we enjoyed ourselves but for what we paid we did expect a higher quality level overall. And a bit more attention to detail.

Wonderful home Sunrises and sunsets beautiful

Although there were some issues with the house which maintenance tried to repair, the house is spacious and comfortable with a great view of the ocean. Overall we all had a nice time

We had a great time. Due to Ian the pool was messed up. The property manager assured us it would be fixed by Monday but did not get to use it until Thursday. Left messages with Property manager and never got call back. Very poor customer service. Some issues are left unresolved. The location was great. Wish the bedrooms were set up with more queen beds instead of twins but everyone was fairly comfortable. No closet in upstairs master or other bed room. All in all it was good

Overall, the outdoor space was spacious and beautiful! Plenty of spaces to relax and enjoy the view! That being said, the clean up could have been better before arriving. Veranda curtains are in rough shape and need replacing. They don’t provide shade or privacy. The pool area needed to be swept/blown clean so not to step on little white rocks and the furniture straightened. It looked like we arrived mid week when stuff is moved all over. The inside also is a good space but needs some TLC. Doors are hard to lock up, paint is in rough shape, and the stair runner needs replacing. Bathroom cabinetry upstairs needs repair. Just a heads up there are no closets in upstairs master and room with double bed. Hooks to hang pool towels would be helpful and new shower towels are needed badly. They are very rough. We normally don’t list this stuff out but after renting several properties on Marathon, others were in much better shape for around the same price. Conclusion-We still had a great week as a family and would consider renting this again if some love was poured into this lovely property.

The view was pretty. House was clean but needed repairs. The carpet on the stairs was falling off and thankfully no one fell or tripped. Ice maker was broken. TV in the living room didn't work. If you have a boat, I would not recommend, when the tide is out, you can not get the boat in or out. It's too shallow. You'll run aground. The smell of the ocean is so strong when the tide it out as well, that it was hard to enjoy the pool. Sorry for the bad review. We have been to the Keys every year for over 20 years and I was not impressed at all.

Incredible outdoor space with the pool and the waterfront. Pool is very cool in dead of summer. House is very comfortable. Could use a little updating (replace crusty carpet on stairs, door entry rugs and sofas). We rented a 25’ boat and we were a little concerned that the water was too low at low tide but it was fine. You have one channel to get out marked with the pvc pipes. Keep them on your left going out and on your right coming in (look it up on Google earth and you’ll see it). There is also a large rock to dodge very close to the left of the dock(also marked by pvc pipe but can’t see it at high tide). Overall, really great stay. Will stay here again.
