Also an hour and a half away from Orlando and it’s attractions or an hour and a half from Saint Pete beaches for day trips. Plenty of room to relax and explore but please stay only within fish camp property. No trespassing in neighbors yards.

Everyone enjoyed their stay at the fish camp, but it was clear some maintenance has been getting neglected. The yard wasn't trimmed the pet area was overgrown. The inside of the house was clean though and the location and view was amazing.

This is a rustic place by the river. Perfect spot for fishing or just relaxing. True old Florida. Beautiful view of the Withlacoochee River. The house is an old fishcamp that has been converted.Really cool vibe. Nice cold AC and strong Wi-Fi signals. It was clean and stocked full of all the amenities. We fished right off the dock and saw so many different species of wildlife. The rainbow river is right down the way and we were able to kayak that which was amazing as always. The house did come with a canoe and two kayaks, which was a bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay there, and will definitely be back.

We loved our weekend stay at this fish camp. The place is exactly as advertised and the pictures on the listing are accurate. It rained on Saturday and we loved watching the storm from the sitting area inside with the big windows. Both queen beds were very comfortable. We did not use the twin. Everything was clean and the house is rustic which we loved. You can feel the history at the fish camp. We will definitely be back.

The pictures are VERY misleading. It was my 70th birthday and I was SO disappointed. When we arrived the trash was everywhere at the gate and one of the trash cans was in the middle of the drive..we had to get out and move it. As we drove up, the yard was terrible. The grass had not been mowed in a while. The "so called" dog pen was so overgrown, you could not use it. When we went inside I was terribly upset. Not sure who is supposed to clean this place but it was terrible. I took the bed linens off the bed and put them in the wash. There is all kinds of stuff under the bed. I DID NOT use anything that was there. I bought laundry detergent, toilet tissue, paper towels, etc. I DID NOT use the towels or face clothes that were supplied. They looked as if they had been used and just folded back on the shelf. The floors squeeked so badly and no way was I putting my belongings in the dressers. The master bed squeeked so bad...it also needs a mattress pad because the mattress had some stains on it. Did not use the other 2 bedrooms at all. The kitchen pans smelled like burnt grease so we ate out all the time. We went to eat the 1st night and when we came home there were ants all in the bathroom and part of kitchen. So the next night we went to eat and came back, there were roaches. We ate out ALL the time. I am so unhappy with this unit. It says it is RUSTIC. Nothing rustic about it. It is just old furniture and all. This place is just nasty! I have pictures but could not attach.

This is an excellent property right on the river. The view from the living room is amazing. We enjoyed fishing from the dock as well as the Kayak. The river is full of blue gill and catfish. We enjoyed using the fry daddy to cook the fish we caught. We also enjoyed the K-Cup coffee maker. We usually bring our own as most vacation rentals don't have them. That was a nice touch. The House is older, but has been beautifully remodeled. While this place is not for the Northerner looking for a 5 star Disney vacation, it's perfect for anyone wanting to experience the real Florida

We had a good time fishing and just hanging out. The river is beautiful and the house is rustic but clean. It would have been nice to have a fish cleaning station. Overall, very enjoyable and relaxing. The water was low and that was disappointing, but there is nothing anyone could do to change that!

Everything as advertised. We used kayaks and fishing gear and did lots of cooking. Everything we needed was here. Our only surprise was the strong river current. The area is quiet and has a tropical jungle feel. Loved it.

Loved sitting in the 2 chairs in front of the picture windows viewing the river and wildlife. Fishing from the doc was fun too. All was good. Only complaint is all the sand around the house being dragged inside.

The proximity to the river was amazing. House was old with some updates. The problem was the cleaning. Had to spend the first few hours we arrived cleaning fridge/ freezer cupboard and cutlery dishes. The silverware was mostly rusty which comes from the water but it was also greasy and had called food i them. There was also something all over the blanket/sheets in third bedroom so we had to wash them before I would let my daughter sleep in them. Food was left in all areas. Some unopened some not. Considering the times I was expecting a cleaner environment. We had to wash down the shower bathroom walls etc. . The thermostats was so high I am only 5 feet I could not reach it had to climb on a chair to reach. But it did work well. There was also no toaster which I thought was strange. Unfortunately it did rain while we where there so we did not get to uses the kayaks. But the closeness of the dock made it easy to fish in between the passing rain. We also loved the large fire pit. Overall the property was beautiful outside! Very disappointed I don’t mind rustic and older properties but I do like them cleaned especially since we pay a cleaning fee.

Nice home right on the river. Unfortunately for us we were rained out all weekend so couldn't use our kayaks but enjoyed the weekend nonetheless.

I really didn’t want to rate it. It was charming, but we had no WIFI or TV. Fir 4 seniors age 69-72. Sports are important. The thermostat was difficult to reach and the thermostat, I believe should be upgraded. We couldn’t get it to run at one temperature. We needed to keep adjusting. We did enjoy ourselves but would’ve liked WiFi and TV.

Very quiet and calming stay right next to the river. We kayaked and canoed up and down the river. Off the Beaton path, but only 2 miles away from Stump Knockers(seafood) also on the river and Reds breakfast and Lunch Diner. Five miles away there are 8-10 more restaurants, Blue Gator on the River also very good. Definitely had the feel of a fish camp on the river, great air conditioning, very comfortable. Crystal River and Rainbow Springs also a short drive.
