Very nice stay. We stayed in the Notaio room which had a balcony. We enjoyed the prepared breakfast served outside each morning. There is a small pool and beach chairs, we did not make use of them as we went to the beach. The owner was very friendly and helped us book our umbrella and beach chairs for the day at San Michelle beach.

The bed was too soft for me, but could be perfect for someone else, a matter of what you are use to.

Breakfast is on a veranda overlooking the distant Adriatic Sea. It does take 20- 30 minutes of a challenging walk to get to great beaches. Food is good-- many sweets.

This is not a property that should be listed on Booking. com as the owner through booking required a nonrefundable money order to secure the reservation and then wanted the rest of fee in cash. The money order from my US bank charged $50 to send the money order and then once transferred to euros another 25 euro charge. I was expected to not only pay 100 euro for deposit but both fees in US and for transfer to euros. This is not acceptable and the owner was not willing to take any responsibility for this situation. Reservation deposits on booking.com should only be on credit card not money orders. Also, I had paid for an international phone plan at $10/ day when activated along with renting a GPS for my rental car. Neither would take us to Borgo Rosso. I had to pay the $10 to activate my plan in order to call the owner who knew this beforehand-- saying "if trouble getting here call". I called and only after she said follow google. map which took us to the gas station above the property with another 1 mile to find the entrance-- did she come and show us the way by car. Borgo Rosso is in a good location if you are fit and able to walk the roads. It is at the end of about a 1/2 dirt road that is not mapped on google maps. Owner did not send a map beforehand to help with this situation. After paying top dollar for this casita-- we were told that we could not use the kitchen in it-- Refrigerator/ stove/dishes. And we were told when asking for an added towel it would cost 5 euros.
