This lakehouse is on a beautiful plot and has a lot of potential, but the amenities are lacking. Aside from some wacky piecemeal construction inside, it was charming upstairs. But there seem to be potentially serious airflow and plumbing issues in the basement where there are two bedrooms and a bathroom: all three felt dank and smelly during our stay, and the shower and toilet both made a lot of noise as if not working properly, sometimes backing up into the sink. The interior of the house was surface level clean but outdoor areas and the walk out screen porch downstairs was dusty with leaves and cobwebs, as if the furniture stays outside all the time. Waterfront is nice and serene, great view! Would be a great place to launch kayaks or canoes if there were better stairs and walkways to the lake. This house is a good spot if you don’t mind a basic experience, bringing a few things, and don’t plan on cooking much, as the kitchen was ill-equipped and messy. We booked midsummer (peak tourism time I know) but even so it was definitely too expensive for the quality we experienced. Would be fine if you go in knowing what to expect or plan to go into town a lot, but could use some work to be a good vacation rental.

View/internet...and that's it! This place is primative. Not easily accessible for seniors or children due to the steep stairs. None of the expected conveniences: No instructions for any electronics! Dish washer is NOT plumbed for water - connecting hose does NOT connect to faucet! Ironing board- NO iron! Candles/ grill/ fire place - NO matches/lighter! No broom or dust pan! Mismatched dishes/silverware - bring paper plates if you want more than 4 that match! Empty ice cube trays - how convenient

This house is very old, dated and needs major renovations. I give one star for the lake view. There were no extra blankets and we were freezing! This was a winter stay and it was in the teens and snowing. Maybe ok in the summer. No curtains on verandah which is the one of the “extra bedrooms” my daughter stayed in so had to hang sheets for privacy. There are two rooms downstairs which looked ok, but not only was the cellar accomodation spooky, and dark and it was freezing (we are not use to cellars where we come from so maybe they are all like this). The dodgy lamp hanging in the kitchen is a total fire hazard as it plugs in next to the sink - all lights in the house were dimming constantly; the heat never went above 60F and the winter wind was blowing in from every crack and window; ALL the cookware was stained and disgusting - like they were pulled out of a garbage dump; no tea pots or even small pots to boil water for tea; no doors on upstairs bedrooms; bathroom door kept swinging open or locked you inside; shower rod bent and couldn’t slide curtain shut, wetting the slippery floor and causing a major slip hazard; dishwasher not actually plumbed to water, thus not working; furniture old and decor ugly, cheap amd dated. The entire house was like a set from a scary movie. The worse place we’ve ever stayed. I must say the staff were fantastic though and helped us relocate to a lovely, liveable home.

This property has little heat. You’ll feel like your camping in a tent. We stayed in January - and spent most of our time trying to stay warm. The management company didn’t even remove the snow. Checkout was at 10. At 4pm, I began shoveling their walkway and driveway to exit. I called twice to share my feedback. I was promised someone would return my call. Days later, crickets.

I reached out to VACASA because there was blood and feces on the blanket on the bed. They said "Sorry for the inconvenience" There were also rodent droppings everywhere. I sent them pictures and they said they would talk to management, of course NO ONE got back to me.

Location-great access to Plymouth View-great view of the water We enjoyed the firepit area Washer/dryer, wifi, air conditioning all great First floor bedroom no door/or drape covering One TV didn't work Ground level bedrooms are essentially in a basement with walk out door, the issue was it was very damp and had a damp smell that could be smelled the entire time, i changed out the dehumidifier every 12 hours, if you have allergies it would probably not be good Upon check in the lock box panel immediately fell off and the key dropped out and fell into the crack of the deck at which point I had to crawl under the deck in the dark with a flashlight to find the key The office was nice as was the living room area The three season room on the ground level was not clean at all Access to the Lake had over grown pricker's going down the stair way, all the flowering vegetation around the house was dead Where the 7th person can sleep is in an a 3 season room on the first floor, it was 90+ degrees every day so sleeping was challenging as neither fan really worked (It was 2 adults and 3 children that stayed) For the money and this is our 4th "VRBO" rental I expected a bit more, it was OK at best.

This lakeside property afforded our family access to a family memorial service with space enough to complete preparations and sufficient comfort to support conversation, food preparation, and relaxed sleep. It is quiet and serene. The steep road and driveway access gradually became more functionally negotiable as we practiced. Our small automobiles were also accommodated and safely off road.
