The property felt like home from the minute we arrived to the unfortunate task of having to leave. My wife and I loved the location, so close to town and attractions but far enough away to only hear the sounds of nature.

Two friends and myself celebrated my 60th birthday. This clean, well maintained, darling place. Offered a central area to travel by car to many out lying places to visit. In our three night stay. We visited the Corning Museum, ate at the famous Moosewood restaurant. Had a class in cooking at The NY Kitchen, spa day at Rasaspa, hiked some local falls, did wine tastings. We came back for the evenings to a camp fire and soak in the hot tub. Hanging outside on the front porch listening to the rain in the crisp air of fall. A very memorable time indeed.

This Montour Falls home was a great place to stay while visiting the Finger Lakes area. The home was very comfortable and clean. The surrounding area is scenic and very quiet and peaceful. The owner was responsive to the few questions we had and offered several solid recommendations.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was convenient to the local waterfalls of Montour Falls. Really easy to get into Watkins Glen and super close to wineries. We really enjoyed the convenience of the location. The house was nice and clean and lots of great amenities. We really enjoy the hot tub after long hikes!

My husband, friends, and I enjoyed this cozy little house 8/3-8/7/23. Perfect for two couples. We loved that the bedrooms are located at each end of the house. Kitchen was well stocked as we cooked all breakfasts and two dinners. My favorite spot was the front porch. Perfect place for coffee in the morning and listening to nature. Beyond peaceful. Location was perfect. Close to everything but far enough away from the business of Watkins Glen. Description of house was spot on. If you stay here you won’t be disappointed.

This property was perfect for 2 couples. Features included split floor plan, modern, comfortable furnishings, well-appointed kitchen, and location close to Watkins Glen. The 6-person hot tub was a great bonus, which we really enjoyed after some great hikes in the region.

This property was clean, clean, clean when we arrived! And so very well outfitted. Everything we needed was available inside and outside the house. The beds were very comfortable and the master bathroom in particular is gorgeous! Wonderful water pressure in the showers, too. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay near Watkins Glen if we'd tried. Highly recommend!

The place was exactly the way it was shown on VRBO website and very clean. Quiet neighborhood with a family of deer that came to visit in the morning. Close to restaurants and attractions. The owner has a book on the kitchen counter with all sorts of brochures for family jaunts and wine tour for the adults. The scenic waterfalls trail at Watkins State Park is spectacular.

We had a great stay for our first trip to the area. The house was exceptionally clean and perfect for our family of four. The front porch was relaxing in the morning for that first cup of coffee and at night with a glass of wine as the sun sets. The house had very nice amenities and having a hot tub was a bonus. The location was convenient to Watkins Glen State Park and other hiking areas along with a cute downtown. We definitely recommend staying here and hope to come again.

The pictures really don't do it justice because everything is pristine and perfect. It is very clean and everything looks brand new. Stocked with everything we needed. Enjoyed having the bedrooms and bathrooms at opposite ends of the house. It was so close to everything. Loved being away from the hustle and bustle. Was really more than we had expected

Very welcoming house right outside of town and secluded from most others around. Property relatively had everything we needed to enjoy a great stay and take the worry away.
We had a few minor quick issues that were resolved in a matter of minutes via contacting the property owner.

Great little house in a quiet, lovely location. The place was immaculate, with comfortable furnishings and lots of nice small touches. The bathrooms were especially nice, and with excellent water pressure, compared to most rental properties. Photos are accurate, but the house is even nicer than it appears in them. Highly recommended.

I genuinely enjoyed this property! Everything was perfect! The location was amazing, it was so close to shops and restaurants, but when you're there you feel like you are away from it all!!! The setting is beautiful and the house is well stocked and very comfortable! I spent a lot of time visiting State Parks and hiking! The scenery in this area is gorgeous! I will definitely be back!

Very nice place, well equipped. Direct access to the Catherine valley trail (rails-to-trails), and only a few minutes away from Watkins Glen State Park.
Village of Montour Falls is quaint, with several restaurants and a micro-brewery. Home of Shequaga Falls, which is featured on the Hallmark channel
Waterfalls are best in spring+fall, or after a good rain.

Was perfect for our 5 day stay in the area for the June IMSA weekend at the track. AC/dehumidifiers are a bit loud and a part of the house was a little harder to cool, but that did not affect our stay. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to be away from the crowd yet near to everything!

We actually anticipated since it is listed/classified as a guest house that it would be quite small but we were wrong and it had so much room for my colleague and I. It was clean and updated and very comfortable. The host/owner was amazing and super responsive. I loved the porch area where you can sit and have coffee and feel the peacefulness of the trees. There's a hot tub that my colleague enjoyed using one night and you're surrounded by the forest so it creates a unique vibe that you have to experience for yourself. I'd love to stay here again the next time I come to stunning Watkins Glen. Thank you, Richard for having us!

Charming!
This is a great find for our track days at WGI. It feels very private, but close to everything, with a beautiful trail just behind the house. The house itself is super clean, all new inside, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need. Bed very comfortable. Richard was quick to respond to requests. Plenty of room for a trailer in the driveway. We'll be back!

Fantastic weekend getaway
My wife and I stayed for a weekend getaway and the place could not have been more perfect. Everything was brand new and Richard was incredibly accommodating and responsive. We definitely plan on returning in the future!

Perfect location
We wanted a family getaway to a remote location. This was the perfect location. Secluded, yet close and easy drive to a lot of local activities; wineries, hiking, waterfalls, museums, diners and restaurants. Very responsive and lovely host. Loved the hot tub. Loved the breakfast bar. The host had snacks awaiting when we arrived, which was awesome after a 5 hour drive before we ordered pizza. :-D Clean and well maintained property. Had a fantastic trip!

We had a lovely time. Perfect location for hiking in Watkins Glen and visiting wineries on both Seneca Lake and Cayuga Lake. We went to both Ithaca and Corning and the drive was quick. Montour Falls is a lovely town.
