“Retro Ranch on Lake Hamilton" our super MCM vintage house RIGHT ON LAKE HAMILTON! Boats welcome! Comfortably sleeps 8. 3 KING beds, one in each bedroom, while kids/friends may enjoy the 2 futon sleepers & additional fold out twin in the ottoman in the sunroom/funroom! Sunroom can sleep 3-4 people! Firepit, Pacman Arcade & board games! We have two separate living areas so everyone has room to spread out in our designer mid century modern (mcm) vibe home. You won't find a more convenient location in the area. We're less than 2 miles from I-70 and only 3 miles to Oaklawn Racing and Gaming! Starbucks, Walmart, Kroger and lots and lots of shops and restaurants are all within 5 minutes of the house. Have a boat? You can can launch it just around the corner at Hot Springs Marina - only 1/2 mile away! Dock tie-up in season: March - October. Plenty of parking for a trailer in our circle driveway. Don't have a boat? Pontoon rentals are also available at the marina. Or enjoy our two kayaks - free for our guests to use during your stay along with water toys! *Winter pool is November to March with lower water levels & no boat docking at rear of home during winter pool. *In summer pool season, Average sized boats (pontoon/bass/fish & ski) may tie up to the walkout dock- boat questions? Just ask us! Kids will LOVE our sunroom/family room with two enormous "Big Joe" bean bags and vintage board games & a retro Game Cube system for some fun & Pacman Arcade too! The grown ups will love the covered back deck with patio seating, a swing for 2, large grill and awesome views of the water. Relax in Adirondack chairs around the firepit & make your own s'mores! Perfect spots for that morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine. note: one of the futons is in the master bedroom, the other 2 futons plus the twin foldout bed are all in the sunroom We LOVE our mid century modern designer lakefront vacation home and we know you will too. Over the holidays between Christmas and new years, our dispersed family gathered in Hot Springs to reconnect. As artists, designers and writers, we found Retro Ranch to be a perfect outlier from the usual vanilla rentals. Retro Ranch is a happy, quirky, and unique place to stay. Despite being a small house, it lived large, with lots of gathering space and an airy, open feel. The retro collection of furniture gave off a mid-century modern vibe that takes one back into a simpler, and more innocent time. It comfortably accommodated our 6 adults, two pre-teens and small, shy dog.

We had a great time at the Retro Ranch. The space was wonderful and had plenty of room for the family. The outside area had great views and plenty of seating.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Retro 70's house. It was very relaxing and there was plenty of room for 6 adults and one infant. We used the kayaks (what a blast!). The sunsets were beautiful and the cool mornings were perfect for coffee on the back deck. The only disappointing thing was the record player does not work - I was personally looking forward to listening to albums on the turn table - I am a 70's girl! We definitely recommend this location and we would definitely stay here again!

Retro Ranch is well-equipped for six guests. It has a lovely mid-century vibe. We enjoyed the outdoor and indoor spaces.
We had our own pontoon boat which we slipped at the nearby Hot Springs Marina, but a smaller boat could be docked at the residence.
Overall, this is a great place for a weekend getaway. Downtown Hot Springs and numerous amenities are nearby.

The Retro Ranch was just as advertised! It was a blast from the past. We enjoyed the retro decor so much! It is right on a Lake Hamilton canal. We loved sitting on the deck to drink our morning coffee. In the evening, we sat in the Adirondack chairs around the fire pit! Our favorite thing was the record player! So COOL! The only negative was the carpet. It had spots & was very worn looking. That is the only reason that I gave it an overall 4. We enjoyed our stay & would recommend it!

We had a fun time at the retro ranch! Plenty of room for the 8 of us. The kids enjoyed the big beanbags and the older Nintendo! We also had fun with some of the many games there. It is decorated in a fun, retro way and had several things I remember from my grandmother’s house! The beds were very comfortable! It was fun to use the kayaks but where the house is located on the lake is not a very good place to swim. The location is right in town and very convenient to just about anything.

This was a wonderful rental! The house is perfect for a family vacation. It was easy to find, on a quiet street, and had a gorgeous view. The house was clean! The linens, the bathrooms, the kitchen, all was clean and ready. I have zero negative things to say and would not hesitate to rent here again if we return to the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay! ♥️

Myself, my husband, our 3 sons (ages 14,12, and 3 mos), and our dog, Phoebe, made this house our home for a few days in our getaway to Hot Springs. Communication was prompt. The house is quaint, nicely furnished, and well stocked. With lake access out the back door, my husband and two older boys enjoyed fishing off the small dock. They took the kayaks for a spin as well. The house is in a neighborhood close to town. It was a perfect relaxing vacay!

Probably the only vacation rental I would want to come back to.
It was clean and beautiful. I really enjoyed the retro theme. The furniture was comfortable and we all enjoyed the kayaks.

Very quiet area. Enjoyed the fire pit and relaxing by the lake. Management was right on it when we had a minor issue with the sheets in one bedroom being very stiff. Sent out a very friendly person to replace the sheets with softer sheets. Great local FM channel in the 94.7 range that played cool 60s and 70s music with very few commercials.

We loved the living rooms, and the 70's flare decor. Perfect Spring night for a bon fire too! The water was down, so we were not against the lake, but they let us know that before we stayed.

What a wonderful stay we had. The house is very very clean and we loved the retro decorations and furniture. The beds were so comfortable. There were 4 of us and there was plenty of room and the furniture was very comfortable. The location was great. Very close to everything we needed. Our hosts were wonderful to work with.
We will definitely stay here again.

This place was an absolute joy to stay in. There were 7 of us (5 adults and 2 children) and 2 small dogs. The family room was more than big enough to accommodate the kids and dogs while we had another living room to watch tv in. All the bedrooms were very nice with queen sized beds. Since it was winter time, we didn't get to fully enjoy the back yard area to it's fullest but I can see where in the spring/summer it will be a very nice added touch.
It has 70//80's feel along with modern conveniences. We absolutely enjoyed our stay!

We loved our stay at the Retro Ranch!! We were disappointed that it was a bit too cold to take the kayaks out !! The decorating was such fun just to remember those bygone years !!! And everything in the home was super clean !! Jolynne was excellent to communicate with and very prompt and helpful each time I had a question!! I do have a suggestion concerning the entrance to the home. It’s really too bad the dryer vent has to be near the door because there was a lot of lent all over the front steps and walkway which really takes away from curb appeal !! It would be nice if it could somehow be directed away from that area!! I owned a B& B many years ago and first impressions are very important!! But I still would recommend The Retro Ranch to my friends and family!! JAN

My family was fortunate enough to secure this rental when it opened up at the last minute in late July 2022. The pictures and description were exactly as described. We had a little trouble accessing the lock box to enter the property (user error) but I called the emergency number and received immediate assistance. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and the property was very clean. My family of 6 had plenty of room to spread out. We all enjoyed the vintage vibe inside but spend the majority of our time outside on the covered deck with a view of the lake, the hammock and hammock swing, and the Adirondack swing and chairs around the fire pit. The lake was clean and accessible. We got takeout from (and highly recommend) Via Roma Italian, Alexa's Creperie, and Grateful Head pizza. We spent a day in downtown Hot Springs, a game day at the house, and for the final day we chartered a boat from JD's Pontoon Charters who I cannot say enough nice things about! Joanna, the owner was friendly and responsive to our needs and requests. We will definitely be back!

The back room with all the windows let in so much light in when we wanted it and also the kitchen skylight. Did I say love all the decor? We also enjoyed taking the kayaks for a spin! The location is spectacularly set on the lake but only a couple streets to the Central Avenue to go enjoy downtown and also anything you might need. We would love to come back.

Quiet and relaxing
We loved the location of the property, at the "end" of the street- no traffic or noise. On the water and yet less than a mile to restaurants and shopping. Our granddaughters, ages 5 to 12, probably spent as many waking hours in the water as they did out of it. They particularly enjoyed the kayaks provided. We did as much or as little as we wanted to, mostly a lot of visiting with our kids and grandkids. We do have one suggestion concerning the tv's. We would have preferred to be able to just turn it on and watch something, just basic cable, without having to enter user and password info, which we didn't have. Overall we were very happy with the property and glad we picked it as our first meet-in-the-middle vacation site. It wasn't inexpensive but gave us everything we really needed to create a relaxing and memory-filled visit.

Peaceful stay on the water
The house is in a great, quiet location. Awesome backyard retreat. We had 4 adults and 4 kids stay. The kids absolutely loved the “playroom” with the oversized bean bags and lots of coloring/reading spots. Easy access to everything in the area.

We loved staying here! Lots of space, and very comfortable. I absolutely love the decor. We used the kayaks and splashed around in the water. There are so many great birds in the yard, and we enjoyed the firepit. Thank you!
