PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING If you're looking for a cozy place to relax on the slopes, this is it! One of the best locations at Wintergreen Resort – slope-side, third floor – oh, the views! The early bird will enjoy the beauty of watching the sunrise and at the end of your day, there’s nothing better than watching the sunset over mountains while you sip on your hot chocolate or favorite cocktail! Our condo offers the perfect home away from home to serve as your skiing or hiking base camp. Situated at the center of the main ski area, beside the Tree House and Mountain Inn, you can watch skiers on the slopes, Potato Patch or watch stunts on the Terrain Park, all from the comfort of your living room or deck! After your day on the slopes or hiking, the relaxing spa-like shower with multiple jets will provide the ultimate experience for any sore muscles. The (loft) bedroom features a queen size bed, television and private half bath. Make your favorite meals after hitting the slopes or hiking. We have a sleeper sofa in the living room. (linens provided) The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishware and utensils. We have an oven, stove top, sink, microwave and a mini fridge. We are also within walking distance to The Edge restaurant and the Mountain Inn. The Market is also within walking distance where you can restock your favorite supplies. Just a short drive to multiple Virginia wineries, Breweries Cideries, and a Distillery, along with roadside antique shops and boutiques. We welcome our guests with a starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags. We also supply linens, towels and wash cloths. Please note: We are not considered "resort members" so you will not have access to resort run amenities such as the Wintergarden Spa, Devils Knob Golf Course or Devils Knob Grill. You may be able to book a spa treatment to access the indoor pool etc. We highly recommend checking directly with the resort to confirm. Guests will have access to the Chestnut Springs and Rodes Farm outdoor pools from 2PM to 6PM. (Memorial Day Weekend-Labor Day Weekend). A valid I.D. will be required for access. Lake Monocan is also available on Sundays, Tuesday-Friday. Check the WPOA website for hours and pricing. For ski rentals, you'll want to reserve in advance. Availability fills up fast. You may also be able to purchase lift tickets in advance. Check the Wintergreen Resort website for more info. The use of motorcycles are prohibited on the mountain. Guests driving motorcycles will need to park at the Wintergreen PD and have transportation up to the condo. Best location on the mountain. Clean and cozy condo. Really like this place. My only constructive feedback would be to invest in a more comfortable mattress and pillows (terrible tbh) and provide cable/streaming.

Timbers is a great location right next to the slopes. This little place had everything we needed and when the refrigerator broke, they replaced it the same day within a few hours. I will stay here again.

This property was exactly what we needed. It is ski in ski out and in the center of everything at the resort. We parked our car and didn’t retrieve it again until check out. The ski school is directly under the balcony, so we were able to watch my son while sipping coffee before heading out for the day.
The only thing the property management company needs to be aware of is the freezer, extra linens for the pull out, and carpets. The refrigerator is dorm style, but we had plenty of room for what we brought for 3 days. The freezer, however, needs to be defrosted. The back top shelf of the frig freezes things in a pinch though. :) The extra linens were not folded and in a bin by the pull out. We were not entirely sure if they were clean and could not find pillow cases for extra pillows. Linens should be put away in a space that makes it more apparent they are clean. There are plenty of extra pillows, but I would bring my own pillow cases next time. The carpets were not vacuumed well. There were leaves/hair upstairs and in the entry way. The bathrooms and kitchen (what I care about most) were pristine. I hope this feedback helps. We had an excellent stay!

Couldn’t ask for a better location. The fridge is tiny and the freezer needs to be defrosted because it is a huge chunk of ice and it would melt onto the floor. The bed definitely needs an upgrade. The mattress is not comfy and the pillows are so flat and have no shape left to them. Other than a few much needed upgrades, we enjoyed our stay.

Nice loft unit. Great decor. The view of the slopes is fantastic. Fun to watch the resort come to life in the morning. I slept on the sofa bed which was adequately comfortable. Great communication with the management group.

Everything was great. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook a few meals. The chairs were very comfortable and prefect to relax after a day of skiing. The jets in the shower were a nice surprise.

Loved the location of Timbers. I would rent again but it would be better if it added a few more/upgraded some amenities. For example; smart TVs, k-cup machine, additional fridge or freezer, and some more comfortable bedding. Bring extra foil, baggies, and coffee filters as just basic kitchen necessities are there.

Awesome location, unique cabin, the deck was covered with leaves and sticks so we cleaned that off. Other than that awesome stay

We were travelling to Nelson County to tour the breweries and cideries in the area. This condo was the perfect location. The view of the mountains was gorgeous, and could be a prime location during ski season. From the porch we could see the slopes and watched a few chipmunks store for the winter season.
We did not use the kitchen as we ate out all the time. The fridge was smaller than a dorm size fridge, so don't expect to store a lot of food.
The bed was very uncomfortable. I understand the need to use a bed liner, but this one was like sleeping on a plastic tarp with a very thin sheet over it, I was sticking to it.
Be very patient trying to find it for the first time, we did get turned around and a little confused. I think detailed directions in the check-in document would be most helpful.

This was our 4th year back to Wintergreen but by far the best view we’ve had.

Property is practically attached to main hotel. Views are great and make the property special. We were the first renters so a few kinks had to be worked out. Management company was very quick to respond and helpful.
