The Schoodic Point section of Acadia National Park and the ferry to Bar Harbor are just steps away, as well as many local shops, art galleries, restaurants, and local market. Enjoy delicious Maine cuisine, dine in or takeout from Chases restaurant just down stairs. The free island explorer shuttle stops right outside.

My wife and I stayed here for a few days while in the area. Location was good - very convenient to Schoodic portion of Acadia, only an hour drive to Acadia on Desert Island, Bangor, and other locations. Listing is upfront about evening noise from the restaurant below, but be aware the restaurant is open for breakfast as well, which we had early morning noise from a few times. Overall a great stay!

Asked multiple times for the wifi and heard no communication from the owner until after checking out after a 4 day stay. No one answered multiple phone calls, poor reception so I wouldn’t stay in a place this remote again without guaranteed wifi.

Pros:
Quaint community close to a beautiful and less traveled trail area, Schoodic. #Gorgeous!
Things shut down early, but everyone in the area was very kind and friendly.
Cons:
It’s a bit of a haul to Bar Harbor.

Great location near the Schoodic Peninsula east portion of Acadia National Park. Close to park entrance and trails. Nice loop road for biking. Bike & kayak rentals nearby. Apartment was clean & cozy. Only downside is that nearby restaurants were closed Sunday-Tuesday/Wednesday, so we had to drive a while for food.

We enjoyed our stay. Winter Harbor was a very quaint quiet town. It took about 50 minutes to drive to Bar Harbor.
