The property is in a great in-town location, with off street parking, close to everything and across from a lovely walking park. The home is updated and very clean. On the down side, though, it features form over function. For example: The bathroom has a fancy sink and mirror – but no towel bars; the kitchen is modern – but has no toaster or ice machine (or ice trays). The second bedroom had no outlets near the bed and no place to put luggage. Lighting is minimal, and mostly overhead. On the plus side, there are ample ceiling fans and lots of room. The front porch is pleasant and cozy. I recommend this property and would stay again.

Perfect for our stay, we came in for the Barber Vintage Motorcycle festival and it was a short drive to the facility, close to restaurants, a beautiful park across the street, quiet neighborhood and lot's to do nearby, Avondale Brewing Company, SAW's Soul Kitchen, The Marble Ring, Post Office Pies... just a few we visited. The place was beautiful, very clean, we enjoyed the kitchen and front porch although we were gone most of the day, has everything you need and host was easy to communicate with. Will definitely stay here again!

Loved the location! Right next to a nice park and walking distance to local restaurants and bars/brewery. No backyard, but park is just as good for dogs. Property was clean and there was plenty of parking.

We were coming to Birmingham to see a concert at the Avondale Brewing Co. I luckily found this house, which was just minutes walking distance to the venue. The house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood, across the street from a really nice park, which was a great place to walk our dog. Everyone we saw was very friendly, and we felt very safe in the neighborhood. Checking into the house was a breeze. Excellent communication with the host, who gave us detailed instructions on how to get in and get settled. The house looks small from the outside, but we were surprised to see how big and roomy it is on the inside. There is a nice living room with a big screen TV, an office, a big kitchen, and 2 good-sized bedrooms. Usually, when we stay places, the bathroom is overlooked, but this bathroom was extremely clean and the shower was awesome. The kitchen has everything you need, and is plenty spacious for cooking your own meals. The location is perfect too, with several restaurants to choose from within walking distance. Checking out was easy as well. There were no check out instructions provided, but a quick message to the host was answered within minutes, and check out turned out to be extremely easy - no unusual requests, as you sometimes find. Overall, we loved it and will definitely try to stay here again if we are in the area! Highly recommended!

The property was located in a nice neighborhood close to downtown and across from a park. Due to recent road work in front of the residence the porch, which was a selling point for us, was very dirty and poorly lit. There was a problem with obtaining access to the property after a power surge/ outing and VRBO was not helpful. The owner was appreciative of the feedback and all issues were resolved to my satisfaction.

The house was very clean in a really great neighborhood across from a park. We had one small incident occur and had to contact the property manager. He communicated very quickly and resolved our problem immediately. We would definitely stay here again.

The owner did a very nice job with the update of this home. The location was perfect. We could walk to many restaurants and bars and it was only a short drive to breweries and shopping. We lived the French press and apple TV. Our dog loved being across the street from Avondale Park. Only comment would be that a new couch would be great and maybe one more chair in living area.

My wife and I spent five nights here and had a generally good time, but there were some issues which detracted from our experience. The coffee pot did not work properly, nor did the ice-maker.There was no toaster. The bathroom could use a towel rack as well as a grab bar. The kitchen could use a potholder. We had problems getting in because we did not know the door opener was inside the screen door, and we also didn't know that you needed to touch the screen in order for the numbers to appear. Instructions provided ahead of time would have saved us the anxiety. Instructions were also needed to use an apple remote, something we were unfamiliar with. Worst of all was the fact that the owner told us that we would be able to watch regular live network programming on NBC, CBS or ABC. This is false. The property manager told us that the owner does not want to pay for those stations. That's fine, but he should have been honest with us. Very disappointing.

Clean, nice little house. Perfect for a young family or a business traveler- large office room with big desk. Dog friendly with park just across the street, house itself has no useable back yard even for dog walking (looks like they may plan to fix up backyard someday, some early halted work but not useable now). Kitchen had good basic pots and pans, coffeemaker, a few good spices, condiments, foil etc; we cooked a full dinner one night. Great washer and dryer, lots of hot water. King bed very comfy, queen bed needs a new box spring and frame (didn’t use) but believe there is also a couch bed.

We had a wonderful time both at the property and in Birmingham. The house in conveniently located and so comfortable. It has lots of nice little extras. The host is great at communicating. I would definitely stay again.

We were in town for a concert at Avondale Brewing and we were able to walk to the venue (~10 minutes). The property was clean and very comfortable to stay in! Phillip was also a huge help with any questions we had

We had a great time in birmingham, this house is in a good location as far as its distance from the city, but it is across from a park which attracts a certain type of demographic. It is a nice park, kept up and there is a library on the corner, but there were a lot of people just loitering around and made us uncomfortable. There were a few men hanging out of the sidewalk in front of the house which also made us feel uncomfortable. The house itself is great. Cute, clean, plently of room.
