Don't miss out on this beautiful waterfront six-bedroom home on the shores of Norris Lake! Here, you'll have a seven-person hot tub, plus spectacular views of the lake and mountains from the decks, as well as a private dock ready for your boat(s)! The dock, which also has gorgeous views, includes two boat slips, a picnic table, and a canopy, with plenty of space to lay out or cool off in the shade, or swim in the cove. There are kayaks for guest use as well (please bring and wear lifejackets). Boat, fish, or swim from the dock (which has year-round water.) Since it is a lakefront property, you can also walk back to the house (via the ~100 steps), where you can relax and enjoy the home’s scenic covered decks, porch swings, rocking chairs, hot tub, six bedrooms, and air-conditioning. There's a Scotsman commercial ice machine in the rec room, with bags to load up your coolers! This three-level home has six nicely decorated bedrooms. On the main floor, there is a large primary bedroom with a king bed, glass doors that access the upper deck overlooking the lake, and a jetted bathtub in the full bathroom. There are two bedrooms on the upper floor, each with a queen bed and twin bed. There are three bedrooms on the walkout basement level (including a bunk room). The lower level has a laundry room and a rec room that walks out to the lower deck and hot tub, with lake views. Each of the three floors has a full bathroom, plus there is a half bathroom on the main floor. In addition to the primary bedroom, the main floor has a fully stocked kitchen, dining area, and great room. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances that include a French-door refrigerator, a five-eye gas range, a dishwasher, a microwave, and both a standard coffee pot and a Keurig machine. The kitchen table will seat eight, the kitchen island will accommodate another three, and there's a kitchen buffet table with stools. Off the kitchen, the outdoor dining tables on the upper deck will seat 12+. A Weber gas grill is on the lower deck ready to grill up your favorites! The house has fast fiber Internet service, with upgraded WiFi, and gets great cell service. There are six streaming TVs throughout the house, including a TV in most of the bedrooms. Heartland House is easy to get to and near the amenities you need. It’s 1.5 miles and three turns to get to the main road (Route 33) - so it's only a short drive to a gas station, a TVA boat launch, and Cedar Grove Marina (which is just one cove over by boat)! Boat and jet ski rentals are available at Cedar Grove Marina and Beach Island Marina. For the boaters, Bubba Brews lakeside bar and grill (with live music in the summer) is less than a 10-minute boat ride, Black Fox Jumping Bridge is a short ride away by boat (lake marker 29) and Jimmy’s Place lakeside restaurant is at lake marker 30 A Walmart, grocery stores, and restaurants are nearby in the town of New Tazewell. The Winery at Seven Springs Farm is about 13 miles away, and the panoramic Woodlake Golf Course, Lodge, and Steakhouse is also 13 miles away. The beautiful Cumberland Gap National Park area is about 24 miles north, with hiking, summer cave tours, and free admission to the park. If you want to visit the city, Knoxville and the University of Tennessee are only a bit further. This peaceful side of the lake is less developed and not as crowded compared to other parts of the lake! From the north, it's an easy drive from the Corbin exit on I-75 via the four-lane US 25. The fun doesn’t have to stop in the off-season or during cooler weather. Enjoy the relaxing lake and mountain views from the hot tub, or take in the foliage and a good book from the porch swings, rocking chairs, or firepit area. On a cold day, cozy up to the fireplace, watch the lake from the great room windows, and play some of the games and puzzles the house is stocked with. You can also hike in the nearby Cumberland Gap area, play golf at the Woodlake golf course/steakhouse, take a guided fishing tour from Woodlake, visit the Winery at Seven Springs Farm, or go to Knoxville and take in a University of Tennessee/SEC football game. The possibilities are endless. This is a great home for multi-generational family vacations all year round! Things to Know Boats can be launched at Cedar Grove Marina and the Brogan TVA free launch. Both are off of Rt. 33, less than 5 minutes from the house. Trailer parking is available at the marina (do not bring trailers or boats to the house - it is on a dead-end street). There are about 100 steps to access the private dock. There is year-round water at the dock (but steeper access/additional steps during the off-season due to the lake being lower during this time). The covered slip is not available (the owner's boat is stored in it), but the dock has two uncovered slips that can be used free of charge for your boats. The home is close to highway 33 and it's a quick boat cruise over to Cedar Grove or Straight Creek marinas. We swam off the dock many times and the covered picnic table was awesome. Inside the home was VERY clean, kitchen well-provisioned and the ice maker in the garage was really handy. The outdoor seating was great for our crew of 8. The hot tub was clean. I would recommend packing extra dish towels (two provided), hair dryers (none provided), cooking oil and all food seasonings in addition to your other provisions. The rental description warns about 100 stair steps from the house to the dock and they're no joke - even if you're athletic! The driveway is also steep. There is only one covered boat slip and that's not available to use. So, plan to tie up to the side of one of the docks and be prepared for rain! We were really disappointed about the lack of accommodation from Vacasa in terms of our request for an early check-in. The original booking agent said while 4 p.m. was standard, we could check-in at 9 a.m. or as late as noon, since the house wasn't rented the week prior. He said I would get an email/text 48 hours prior to check-in to notify us. I didn't get any of these notifications, so I called on arrival day and the new agent said she had no ability to see if the home was available/clean prior to 4 p.m. She also didn't have a manager that I could speak with and no way to contact the cleaners. She said we would get a text/email from the cleaning crew and that was the ONLY way to know when we could get in the home. I didn't get a text or email until noon saying the house would be ready at 4 p.m. We had guests arrive at noon with food sitting in coolers and it was an empty/clean house. It seems like a very easy fix and accommodation that could have been made. That's only reason for 4 stars.

The house has beautiful views, is decorated nicely, the kitchen is well stocked, the hot tub is well maintained and it has great sleeping accommodations. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn’t a yard for the kids to play (steep yard leading to the lake), the walk down to the dock is very steep and the exterior wasn’t well maintained. There were so many spider webs on the deck it seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. When the management company reached out to us right after check in I told them about the deck and they said someone would be out to clean, but no one ever showed up and communication was very difficult. I also asked about a nearby marina to rent a boat and was told to google it….wow was all I could think. The fees on this rental are sky high, (the fees were equal to the nightly stay rate, so double the nightly fee to truly know the total for your stay) so I expected better communication and guidance. We also asked for a slightly earlier check in and check out (it is a lengthy check out process). When I put in these requests and asked questions it took days for an answer and I had to send requests twice and of course both requests were denied. I liked the house but will never rent from a Vacasa run property again.

Fantastic location if you bring a boat. Quiet side of the lake with little traffic and literally 5 minutes to gas the boat at Cedar Grove marina. Boat slip is on the side of their dock- and is uncovered so expect your boat to get really wet with the rain that occurs here almost daily. House was out of natural gas when we arrived and couldn’t be filled for 2 days, so we had to eat out for the beginning of our stay. Grill also only had one functioning burner so burgers cooked very slow. Otherwise beds were fine, kitchen was well stocked once we could use it and cook. All was clean and comfortable. Hot tub was a fun addition. Would stay here again, hopefully with a working stove/oven for our entire stay.
