This home does not have air-conditioning, but air-conditioning is rarely needed at 6200'; there are fans available. Outdoor wood-burning fires and charcoal grills are prohibited per local ordinances (gas grills ok). THE LOCATION Walk 500 yards from your door to the cobalt-blue Lake Tahoe waters at Kings Beach State Recreation Area. In the evenings, stroll along North Lake Blvd to discover local eateries and live music in the summer. For a day on the slopes, drive 8 miles to Northstar Resort or 15 miles to Diamond Peak. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 6 vehicles. This rental is located on floor 1. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Place was plenty big, both inside and out, and the location to the beach/Lake Tahoe was immensely appreciated.

Wonderful family home! All the appliances worked, the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, and the back yard was large and fenced. This was a perfect home for our family of 12. The bedrooms (5) and the bathrooms (4) worked perfectly for our large family. A big plus is that it is within walking distance of the beach. One thing that was unfortunate was the master bedroom bed. It was very uncomfortable with a "mattress topper". It was difficult for my husband and I to get in and out of it. Over all, I would highly recommend this home! Thank you! We loved it and had a wonderful time!

The rental is in a great location, and very close to some resorts we wanted to visit. Had plenty of space for our group, and very clean rooms. Had some issues however that could be easily fixed. Our room code changed multiple times during our stay, without us getting any notification which was a bit frustrating. Also, this location was advertised for 12 people, however we only found 11 towels. Once we reached out, they simply stated they only provide starter supplies, which i understand for things like TP or soap. But towels for the guests should be provided as listed. Also, starter supplies weren't really provided. Soap and such were barely filled which was frustrating as well.

we had a number of issues with this rental. the main one being that VRBO re-sells a turnkey property and turnkey simply sucks: (1) they harrass you with emails and phone calls, (2) they dont accept early check-in and late check-out, even when they make mistakes, (3) the house was not cleaned at check-in (see below). In addition, the house has cameras that watch you (one in entrance, one near the jaccusi). The hous eis comfortable and ideal with kids. However, the internet did not work and I had to reconnect all wires. The house trash cans were not empty, and there were dog hairs everywhere (inclusing in bedrooms). quite amazing when turnkey had me call to commit not to bring a pet.
in summary, everything under turnkey responsability was wrong and despite they finished cleaning the house 3 hours after check-in, they had us leave at 10am! the cameras in a rental property are also wrong, unless announced at rental time.

Very good. The place fit all our needs.
Overall, very nice facility and location. Only issues: no (obvious) snow shovel to clear off access to the jacuzzi or walkways; and dishwasher does not work well and the upper tray needs fixing.

Wedding & Family Gathering
Our Family met for a wedding at Sand Harbor Beach. This location was perfect for us and the space and amenities of the home made our stay a hit with everyone.

Great Property and Location!

The home has 5 bedrooms, many with multiple beds, allowing for lots of people and configurations. The kitchen is wonderful and well supplied. We loved using the fireplace on chilly mornings.

Perfect house for large groups in North Lake Tahoe
Stayed at this fantastic property from 12/1 to 12/3 with a dozen or so friends. Plenty of room upstairs and downstairs. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, modern and very clean. All of the amenities taken care of (bedding, towels, bathroom goods). Awesome area to hang out downstairs with a large open kitchen (also super well stocked) that opened up onto a dining area and living area all in one big space - perfect for group hangouts and big family style dinners. Outdoor area was also great, though we mainly stuck to the hot tub given the weather. Perfect location in Kings Beach - walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in the area. Short drive to all the attractions on the North Side. Highly recommend.

Golden Bear Retreat
We loved staying at this wonderfully cozy yet spacious home. There was plenty of room for our large group with lots of outdoor lounging space. The convenience of having the beach, restaurants and grocery store only a few blocks from the house was a huge plus. The house was clean and well laid out and the kitchen had all you needed for a big group. We would definitely recommend this property! Can't wait to stay here again for more napping under the gazebo!

Awesome spacious house, perfect location
The house was great - spacious enough (with room to spare!) for our large group. The backyard was a huge hit - there was enough seating for all of us at dinner, and between the fire pit, gazebo, dining table, hot tub, and swings, everyone could relax without being on top of each other. We made some huge dinners at the house and had all of the supplies we needed right there. The beach is literally a stroll down the street. We ate at the Log Cabin, Jason's, and Off the Grid and walked to all of them easily. There were some board games for the kids, a selection of books (my favorite place to hang out was the chaise in the sunroom), a nice coffee bar for the morning... it was very pleasant, very relaxing, and I'll happily return again. I'd recommend this house for a family reunion or a company retreat.

PERFECT location, clean, comfortable, & stocked!
Location, location, location! The house is only a few short blocks from the Kings Beach Recreation Area and all of the restaurants in Kings Beach. We went to "Music on the Beach" on Friday evening and loved the food trucks and wine/beer. We didn't have to get into our car once while we were here because the house was so close to everything!
We loved looking at the stars from the hot tub at night, sitting under the gazebo and unwinding after a fun day at the beach, and just hanging out. We made a campfire in the fire pit one night and roasted s'mores. The living room upstairs is HUGE and easily fit our whole gang (9 people) for a board game night. The beds were all very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with all of the cooking stuff we needed. The house is really spacious but still feels homey.

Fantastic!
The property is great - a short walk to the beach, lovely outdoor space to sit with a book while you drink your morning coffee, plenty of privacy. The house is big and cozy. The kitchen has everything you might need and then some, and the main room is large and has a great open layout, so the whole group can be together without feeling crowded. A lot of thought was clearly put into the decor - it feel very rustic, like a cabin in the woods, but with clean, modern touches. Very much looking forward to going back!!
