My husband and I and another couple had a great holiday in the Muskokas. Our host, Loren was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The cottage was spacious, clean and well equipped. The bedrooms were very comfortable. We especially liked the boat dock with bunky across the road from the cottage. We had easy access to all three of lakes. Port Carling and Port Sandfield was close with lots of amenities. The pictures are accurate of what the cottage looks like. We would rent this place again in the future. Great holiday thanks!!

Very easy to use as home base to go site seeing. Owner very helpful and accommodating our stay. Only negative is that the water access requires crossing the road to get to the lake and dock. But not a real hardship. Close to Port carling and shopping. Would book this property again.

booked this property in Dec 2022 -- tried to reach the host for 4 months with questions. contacted VRBO - they told me they would contact host -- he did not respond until I finally on my 5th attempt to reach him I would cancel my reservation. As expected he responded immediately. Did not explain the property accurately. The dock is located across the street on a very busy 2 lane hwy with no shoulders. Take your life in your hands to cross the road. The property was grossly misrepresented. NOTHING is as it appears in the online listing. The place was built in the 1930's and full of mold and mildew which he tries to discuss with air fresheners in every outlet - when I arrived the property had for Sale signs listed - the real estate agent arrived while I was there - surprised that anyone was staying there as he considered the place to be a "tear down" that should not be rented to anyone due to the poor conditions. Fake photos of the dock area -- do not look anything like that -- mold on every outdoor cushion -- the outdoor furniture was full of holes. As it is located in a prestigious area of the Muskoka's he is getting away with this...... I did not stay one night -- I have been fighting with the owner and VRBO since June 30 - now for a full refund. He stole over $10,000 of my money which he is refusing to give me and VRBO has done nothing yet - I have contacted them over 6 times with various case id's and being told my complaint was being escalated - still waiting......

The cottage is very spacious and nice, easily accommodating our family of four. We booked last minute and for short stay so were happy to get a property in Muskoka in summer at last minute. Owner was very available and helpful even repairing appliance urgently before our arrival. Only concern was the location and the vague description of the same in listing. Although the property has a nice waterfront and dock, it is not contingent with the main building property. It is across a busy road that is quite noisy at times in the height of summer. These details were only disclosed after booking and non refundable payment. Property is advertised as “air conditioned”. In reality, there is a small, portable air conditioner that during the height of a hot summer (30C +), was somewhat inadequate, especially for the second floor. Near and handy for Port Sandfield where we hire our boat, so that was definitely a plus. As said, we were grateful for a last minute accommodation but prefer to be directly on the lake.
