Waited like 45 mins for dinner. They started serving me papd chutney etc instead of my order. Asked the waiter about my order, he completely forgot that I ordered something. Then in 5 mins food was served. This again happened next morning with my breakfast. Though both times it got resolved.

I hope this helps future travellers. Nothing against Sayaji. Infact I heard of it for the first time due to this stay. My stay was the most disappointing experience I have ever had in my life. 1. The reception is unwelcoming and dull and the staff is rude and brash. The trainees don't have a clue what they are supposed to do. First impression was disappointing given they call themselves a 5 star property. 2. The moment u move beyond the reception u see this disgusting carpet. I can bet u it hasn't been cleaned in years. There was bits and pieces of rubbish on the carpet and huge stains everywhere. It smelled bad too in the hallways. The carpet inside the elevator got even worse. I was scared to touch the walls or buttons. Again it's a 5 STAR property! 3. We upgraded our room to a balcony room and they did charge us some amount for it which I was okay to pay. When they showed us the room, at first glance it looked good and I made the mistake of not inspecting thoroughly. By that I mean I didn't inspect whether they had the basics right or not!!. And thus I had no idea what disgust was coming my way. 4. The best part of the room was the balcony. It was big and towards the back side so less noise. 5. The room had three sofas. 2 were dark blue in color and there was a three seater in a lighter beige shade. The 3 seater was covered in staines all the way. It was so disgusting that I didn't even put my bags on it let alone sit on it. 6. The runner thing that they put on top of the bed (for decor I assume) was covered in a huge off-white stain, half n arm big. It made me sick seeing that and I wanted to run away. It was disgusting. I didn't want to use the bed after that. 5. The matters was one of those ones which look too soft when u touch it but the moment u lie on it it tilts towards the side of the bed and so basically u are in a sideways slant the whole time ur on it.
