The service was amazing from the moment we checked in. I appreciated the texts during our stay to see if we needed anything. We also dine at Proudfoot & Bird and our Waiter Eric made it a wonderful experience. After we a few drinks at the speak easy to complete our evening.

Beautiful hotel and friendly staff! We only stayed overnight, but definitely this will be our go to hotel when we come back. Shower could use more pressure.

Checked in a went to our room only to find out the room was not cleaned from the previous occupants! So had to go back to the front desk to get another room!

Hotel Fort Des Moines was perfect. First off everything is absolutely beautiful! The room was perfect and the bed comfy. One thing that surprised me wad the bath towels, they were bath sheets! Highly recommended Hotel Fort Des Moines!

I really liked the vintage look of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and very nice. My only complaint is that breakfast is an extra charge and a bit overpriced.

I stayed 1 night on a business trip. Checked in at 8 pm and out at 7:30 a.m. Shower and bed were amazing. I didn't have time to eat at either of the restaurants. Hotel was lovely. Everything was clean.

When we pulled up to unload… There were no signs or individuals to help us. My husband had to run into the front desk - he told them that we were checking in… asked about parking. The person said that the valet would be able to help us but never mentioned. How/where to unload

Lovely historic hotel with very good restaurant/bar and large comfortable room. Helpful, friendly staff. Very cool speakeasy with craft cocktails that you use a "secret" door to access.
Negatives but not very troublesome: I had a view of the parking deck, so that wasn't great, and I noticed they charged $30 for parking but the parking lot was empty, so there's that, but I wasn't driving anyway and may have been because of the weather.
I was there during a storm so couldn't get a cab/uber from airport but lucked out as the hotel was picking up someone else and graciously offered to get me. That was a big deal!!

Room was clean and temperature was great in the room. Enjoyed the Kitchenette with the plates and silverware and cups. Nice to have those options when staying.

Hotel Fort Des Moines was top notch. Great customer service and care to the details. The only hiccup was the valet. We had to wait 15-20 minutes for our vehicle twice.

Everything was perfect! The staff was amazing, the rooms were large and very comfortable. For a superior experience, this is definitely the place to stay!

We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem. It was recently renovated and the newness did not take away from the charm of the antique origins of the hotel. There were delightful remnants from the olden days everywhere; the charming elevators, gorgeous staircase, warm and inviting entry area, etc. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay again.

We stayed in a handicap accessible room. It was excellent. The beds were a little low, though, for my husband to be able to stand up by himself.

My stay at the Hotel Fort Des Moines was the best lodging experience I've had in long time. I highly recommend this place. The ergonomics of our room was outstanding. It was also modern and clean.

The rooms were so comfortable and I thought it was conveniently located to the places I wanted to visit! Staff were really nice as well! Valet was a bit expensive for me but there was a garage super close !!
