We enjoyed our stay. One suggestion is to have more gluten free food on offer. Adapt recipes for all.

Resort fees! Surprise!
Why don’t you just list the real price of the room, not a bogusly low price and add $39 per day?
And $25 per day for valet parking? That lot was never more than 30% full. We parked across the road with huge pot holes and lots of cats.
Resort =bring extra cash to be nickeled and dimed to death.
These fees breed mistrust at the very beginning of a vacation. As in…what else will we have surprise fees for ?!
And, you get away with it, because it’s done so commonly. That makes it OK?

The entire staff that we come across are always friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful and well kept. Mahalo for a wonderful stay!

Wish there was a hot tub / jacuzzi on site. The onsite restaurant menu was lacking as well - Not a lot of variety . Our room had ants. Otherwise we loved the free perks like the golf and the snorkel gear and the free drink coupons.

The place is nice. The ocean view is the only way to go!!! The staff were mostly friendly and welcoming. There was wonderful live music at night. The hot drinks are complimentary 24 hours a day and vallet parking. We didn't have any issues. We felt that the location was a bit unappealing. The buildings on both sides are not in good condition. Which you obviously do not see in the website photos!!! The mirror in our room was a two way into the bathroom and at night was completely see through which was not ideal even with the curtain. It did not cover the whole thing! We put towels up to keep it more private. All in all the island is beautiful, we had a great time!

This being part of the Hilton chain I expected better. They put their name on it, freshened the rooms and some interior painting, they put the lipstick on a pig, neglected to give the pig a bath. Everything would look so much better if the windows had been cleaned and the entire exterior pressure washed. Everything about the exterior was grimy. Even the tracks of the sliding doors in the lobby were dirty. One would think no there might be fresh flowers in the lobby, but no. Lots of money for a lack luster property. Restaurant was no better. Small selection and huge prices.

Our Hawaiian vacation was very enjoyable. Our room had the perfect view overlooking the ocean and mountain. We stayed in a junior suite with a mini kitchenette area. Overall everything was just right. The staff were very friendly and helped to meet our needs during our stay.

We did not have a pleasure checking in. Check-in was at 4pm and our room was not ready by 5:30 due to a mauntenance failure in the room. Finally i asked for any other available room and the room down the hall was own. They could have suggested that at 4pm. Also the line for people to check- in was out the door. Maybe 20 people looking tired.

Lobby is fantastic. Valet, bar keeper & front desk personnel were very good. Property is kept up but quite dated. The other full time residential properties adjacent to the hotel are very sketchy. I’d never walk down the street it is on. We went to dinner next door and drove cause the street was too dark and scary. Too bad too cause there’s a nice park at the other end of the block.

We had a lovely time staying at the Grand Naniloa hotel. The valet and front desk staff were very friendly. It is an older building but is well kept up and clean. The resort fee allows for use of snorkel gear at no cost and the drink coupons for the lobby bar were a nice bonus.

False advertising. We paid extra for an ocean front room, but we are mostly looking the rest of the hotel and the pool/construction. We specifically wanted an ocean front room so we wouldn’t have booked this hotel/room if we knew the room view would be like this. At least they could have flipped the room and put the bed on the opposite wall so you see the partial ocean. If you’re going to have ocean front rooms that face the rest of the hotel, at least paint the exterior so it doesn’t look so run down and trashy. Very disappointing.

Great location in Hilo. Rooms are relatively clean. Just surprised on all cups the use at the bar and in the rooms are plastic. No water refilling options at the property.
It just seems Hilton does not really care about the limited space and resources in Hawaii. Probably will look elsewhere for properties that at least try to not create so much trash.

Hotel was under construction and they did not list it or inform me prior to travel. Service was limited as a result. No recreation offered. Noise also an issue

They didn’t have a room for me when i went to check in. They said we gave them all away. So i had to book another room on phone and then showed them another confirmation and they gave me a room. Got charged for 2 rooms.

The hotel is nice. The lobby area and grounds are pretty. The grounds are right along a bay area. There is only valet parking but that is included in the price. The valet attendants were super nice. All the staff at the hotel were super nice! That is the biggest pro for the hotel. The bartender filled up my water bottle with ice and water before we headed to Volcanoes Nat Park which was super nice and unexpected. Only 30 minutes to Volcanoes Nat Park entrance and 30 mins to the black sand beaches. Loved the quaint artsy vibe of Hilo too. Not super touristy.
My only cons were one of the elevators was malfunctioning and there was trash left by some guests in the gazebo which wasn't cleaned up.

AC did not work in our room. We were told by several other guests and by the maintenance guys that the hotel has been having AC issues for weeks. We were never told of any AC problems by the front desk before we checked in.

The only odd thing was the window between the bathroom and the bedroom. I didn't dislike or like just odd. One of rhe better hotel showers I've been in.

We were here for my daughters wedding. This hotel gave us very nice proximity to the downtown of Kona. The north side of the main buildings ocean view rooms provided nice view of the ocean and downtown. We stayed two nights in Hilo, which is very different than Kona. Hilo is a bit rundown, feels poverty stricken and the ocean on that side (East side of Hawaii) was calm whereas the Kona side (West side of Hawaii) was rugged with awesome waves.

The view from the corner junior sweet was second to none, absolutely amazing. The sofa and chairs in the room were not comfortable. The chairs on the balcony were not comfortable. The barn door (bathroom door) wouldn’t slide closed.
