The check in was terrible. Room was supposed to be ready by 3pm. It was not available until 4:45 pm. Housekeeping could be better. Not horrible but could use improvement.

It was a great stay. Very comfortable and convenient to the port for our cruise. I would definitely go back. The restaurant was really nice.

Overnight stay across from cruise terminal and at edge of Old Town. Recently rebranded from Sheraton to Marriott boutique brand. Nice decor, slow service, good dinner restaurant.

From checkin to checkout, nice smooth experience. Room was a recently remodeled one and was clean, perfect. New beds were pillow topped but yet firm, so was comfortable and you didn’t sink into the bed. If coming back just to visit San Juan, would definitely stay here.

Great location in Old San Juan. Excellent service. The room is very clean. The bathroom is very modern. The bed is gigantic. Will be coming back again soon hopefully.

Location is great but lacking in amenities. Granted they are renovating now but their price is outrageous for what we got. Room is big but not as clean for the price. I did not enjoy our stay here even though it was only for 2 nights. We had stayed in better hotels that cost less.

Work was being done around the elevator which caused it to go from 2 elevators to 1. I had to ask for coffee for the coffee maker in our room 3 separate times. There was not anything in any of the dispensers in the shower. It’s the most we have ever paid for a hotel room, and the most disappointing room we have ever had

Construction made our stay pretty bad. Our bathroom door would not close. We waited two days for a repair!
When it rained we had water on our floor.
Restaurant was closed. Breakfast was outrageously expensive. Too little for what we paid.

It was tough to rate the building under renovation it will be nice when completed and good location

Construction led to slower than usual elevators and a few slight inconveniences.
Once you get by those all is very good.
The check in was very helpful and pleasant

It’s going to be beautiful when the remodel is complete. Staff was exceptionally helpful and pleasant.

Hotel was being renovated. Noisy and messy. They should have been forthcoming about the inconvenience and offered a discount.

The hotel is under construction and should not be open. To make matters even worse, multiple requests for trash removal, clean towels and basic housekeeping were ignored. The room had a musty smell. The lobby was under full construction and the only open amenities were a small pool and hot tub. The connection to the cafe was closed.

The Air Condition in the room was horrible, it was making noise all nite. The TV kept on turn off & volume kept going on & off.

Close and convenient to Old San Juan. The Hotel is going through a complete renovation so that's kind of an inconvenience but it's understandable. The room was nicely updated. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was lacking but maybe when the renovation is completed that will be worked on.

Stayed for Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastian.
Hotel is under renovation on the inside, therefore as of Jan '24 expect disruptions in elevator service, noise, dust, tarps, etc.
Check-in is on the second floor, for people who find stairs a challenge, please note that we observed the elevator out of service for small periods of time during our stay. Granted, the hotel was busy, and they are currently installing what appears to be a 3rd elevator.
A note on rooms: all surfaces are hard, therefore there is very little ability for sound deadening. Our room had an "adjoining door" which made it feel like we had our neighbors in the room with us. Unfortunately, there is/was very little insulation/thickness of the door. So we heard everything, and likely they heard us equally.
Bathroom: while the fixtures and updates are visually beautiful, and appreciated. The bathroom door is a barnhouse style sliding door with about 1/2 inch separation from the wall. If you're traveling with someone besides yourself, be warned that all noises from the bathroom come in "loud and clear". And since there is no fan in the bathroom, you may have to get creative about noise masking.
The restaurant onsite: was "OK". We had breakfast there only 1 day and decided to go elsewhere thereafter. Food was equivalent to a Courtyard by Marriott, buffet style. Please note the situation regarding noise. There are zero elements in the design to dampen noise, and so the eating area is extremely loud.

I hope that, once the construction is over, cleanliness and the comfort level will improve.

The line to check in took close to an hour. while we knew the hotel was undergoing construction, we were told the restaurants were both open at check in as well as room service. Only one restaurant was open and it closed an hour early. There were a lot of guests continuing to check in and no access to food.

The hotel was under intense construction. We were not informed that this was happening. The room was ok but the front desk was unsatisfactory... Dusty, in the middle of workers, disorganized. The restaurant was extremely dusty and should not have been allowed to serve food...too dusty and workers all around. Expedia did not do your job on this option. On the other hand, the location was perfect and I would definitely consider this hotel once the massive construction is complete. To be told, Expedia should have notified us prior so we could make a choice. If we were staying longer, I definitely would have relocated.

The property is undergoing renovations. There is a lot of construction noise and certain areas are off limits because of the construction. The rooms are very nice and appear to have been recently upgraded. I beleive when the construction is over, it will be very nice hotel.

Understaffed and broken elevators. Lines everywhere

Stayed here mid Nov. Several floors were under renovation including the room immediately next door. Drilling and banging started at 7am. Paid top dollar for the rooms. Front desk didn't care. Bonvoy/Sheraton/Marriott didn't care. Worst thing of all HOTELS.COM didn't care! Don't waste your money. Avoid this shoddy excuse for a hotel.

Rooms are renovated, and nice. On our check in we were greated by José in the front desk, he was amazing and very welcoming with the locals and the tourists.

While they are rehabilitating the building they should do business, or at least their cost should be much lower while providing a heads up of what to expect before a guest arrives.

This Hotel is under construction and safety was my main concern, specially when you travel with children’s. No previous advise from the Hotel.com web or the Hotel that this was happening. The fees and night charge was to high counting that this daily constructions were happening .others were complaining of bathroom doors getting stocked. My bathroom plugs were making noise and no response from maintanice. Electric wire were not placed appropriately It should be mentioned for the public . I couldn’t make arrangements to be relocated. Process not friendly. I would like to have my stay refunded by the this company. I did have a few more reservations and this last one was a nightmare. thank you

We got there for just one night to enjoy Old San Juan in New Year's. The hotel was being remodeled, which did not give us a good impression of the place at first. Even though the room seemed clean and nice at first, our kid had a claim about something biting them under the blankets; there were bedbugs. We had to change rooms because of it. To be fair, the location was good, but it left us a bad impression when it comes to maintenance.

Staff is kind and respectful, trying to be helpful. But: Hotel is under construction. The noise starts very early in the morning until late at night. Also for some reason our room was not cleaned or restocked with towels, coffee or even water the first day and it took us 4 phone calls to receive a bottle of water. We were also charged a resort fee for every day which was never mentioned when we were booking the room.

Hotel under major construction renovation and it is so noisy! Everything is in disarray!

Took 30 minutes to get from front door to check in desk. Not because they were busy but because of construction debris and materials. One elevator for over 200 rooms. Hammering and slamming doors ALL DAY LONG. Terrible experience. Avoid at all costs. Speaking of cost.... VERY expensive for what you get. $60 for a mediocre breakfast. Will never stay here again. Marriott, you let us down this time.

This property is under construction and I was not informed. They start with shipping hammers at 7am. I have been a Marriott member for many years but disappointed
