We stayed in an executive class room. It was a beautiful spacious room on the 12th floor with a spectacular view of the Gulf of Eilat from a picture window leading out to a small balcony. The service was very good except for the dining room where dishes were not quickly cleared and it was not easy to get coffee or eggs to order at breakfast. The dinner was buffet style and was uneven. First time very good both quality and variety of main. The second time there was no good choice for a meat (steak, roast beef , lamb etc) meal.

A very good hotel. Well kept.
AMAZING view from terrace room. Very good breakfast. The only thing need to improve: pillows,and there is not enough shelfs for storage our stuff. Highly recommended!

Swimming pool is in repairs. They explain it “caused by war”.
Reception left us to wait for some 10 min - had important call.
I was wondering - I’m not important.
Breakfast really poor, never ever was in Dan with such minimalistic breakfast.

Very average hotel for such high rating, appears Israeli 5 star hotel = 3,5 - 4 stars in North America. Staff disorganized and don't care, you have to repeat your request number of times to be served, no one cares, valet parking took 38 minutes to pool my car, way below expectations.

The roon wasnt clean and smelled of cigarettes but when I told that to the recipient they immediately send somone to clean and spray a good smell.
Overall you enjoyed our stay and definitely return.

Over-priced/not a good value. Room view was of adjacent hotel pool. Despite being a non-smoking floor, this was clearly not enforced. Jacuzzi not operable and swim up bar closed. Food okay.

Beautiful property and hotel. Unfortunately, we were not able to check into our room until 8:30 PM…..Expedia said 3:00 PM. They did make up for it, but they seemed to be understaffed for a major holiday. We will come back as we understand ‘things happen’. Once again, the hotel, property, and views are spectacular. Don’t let our ‘hiccup’ distract you. Give it a try. Zalis Family

Right on the promenade and sea. Big clean room with great view. Great breakfast and front desk helpful. Only complaint is parking - even though it says free parking, don't count on parking at hotel. It was full all 3 days we were there. Staff didn't particularly make an effort to help find alternative. In the end parked in a dirt lot and walked. The dirt turned to mud after rain and it was a disaster for my shoes and car.

We chose a standard room this time but were not disappointed. The size was just as good as the superior rooms and with the same facilities.
The pool area is great. there were plenty of beds including four posters!.
The food is very good.
The best thing was the shower which is perhaps the best we have ever had anywhere in the world.

This hotel is listed as a 5 star resort solely due to the amenities that it offers.. my room was very old and outdated, bathrooms and ceilings had mold / mildew.. Dinner buffet had a wide variety of offerings; however the hot food was similar to the quality of a cheap buffet in a low quality hotel in Las Vegas., all at a cost of $80 I ended up just eating a small salad.. the other supposedly open a la carte restaurant was the hotel bar that was devoid of people and staff.. Finding English speaking hotel staff was surprisingly difficult with many not knowing it at all, Also all the buffet items were only in written in Hebrew.. While I think this quality of hotel may be typical for Eilat, it was far from being good in my experience..

We are very familiar with Dan Eilat and got splendid days in past times. This time something got wrong.
We were supposed to have a smooth check inn after set it in advance via Dan's application. Instead, we spend one hour for doing it at the front desk. The person in charge appeared and disappeared at least seven times cooking something we've never updated. I am quite sure we did not get the rooms we ordered (new restored sea view). we asked for adjacent rooms in advance. Never got them. Instead the front desk claimed they were trying to contact us with no success. We phoned back but no answer was got. They claimed that the call went to a central (?) and they have no access to customer's calls (!). The third day they offered a room in an upper floor. Actually this would worsen the situation since the person we wanted to be nearby could not make it due to limited mobility, foreigner, no English/Hebrew speaker.
The hotel did not accept extras on our room charges (!?).
we had to get the permission at the front desk. Why this was not accommodated at the advanced or actual check in?
I was told by the person in charge that they are facing difficulties with personnel. He also said he was not supposed to be on duty the day of our arrival.
The chaos at the front desk was unbelievable.
By chance I've contacted Ms. Hagit Cohen who was inquiring about my impression of our stay just a day after checking in. I shared all of the above but she did not reply as she promised.

The hotel is friendly and attractive, and right on the beach. Good for children, families, and couples. The restaurant offers buffet dinners, not my first choice, but there are nice places to dine nearby
