We stayed twice on our last trip, once on the way up and again on the way back. Our King Studio Room was comfortable and spacious with the King bed, table for 2 and 2 lounge chairs which were very much appreciated after travelling most of the day. Dinner in the restaurant was a highlight with exceptional food served both days. We will definitely return!

The Receptionist Leeanne was extremely friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble..We will make the Windmill our preferred accommodation venue whilst in Ma kay in future...

I arrived to find a well-sized room for the price I had paid. The room had well-kept facilities, with only a couple of minor cosmetic blemishes, but I put that down to it being a well-used venue. The staff were all pleasant and the manager was very helpful when I needed it. I was staying at this venue for a wedding and my overall experience was very positive.

This was a wonderful surprise after some lesser recent experiences. We entered a cool, fragrant welcoming room, with a small vase of fresh garden flowers! Who could want for more after a day on the bumpy Bruce Track! The reception staff were very welcoming, the room and especially the bed was fantastic. Dining in the restaurant was so convenient and reviving an easy option. The staff were very friendly and engaged with travellers. Altogether a great experience, and a definite spot in Mackay.

Terrible experience for a business traveler and will never stay here again.
Something as simple as a Tax Invoice and compounded further by the complete lack of service on check in.
If you don’t like Expedia bookings, don’t list your rooms there.

Door handle broken on cupboard and shower base tiles mouldy. To be expected at this price of $113

The location is great with a fabulous walk at the back which is welcome after a long drive. The room is modern, very clean. Flowers on the table. The bed is big, comfortable and the bedding is spotlessly clean. Plenty of towels, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. Parking is at the door. It was very quiet. Staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my meal in the restaurant. There’s a petrol station near the exit. Location is excellent for getting on/off the highway into the property easily and quickly. Nothing to dislike.

I liked the restaurant. Linen was clean. I didn’t like our room because the bathroom door won’t shut, ants throughout, had to ask for a hair dryer and walls/ fans dusty & cobwebs. Window shutters broken, no tv in bedroom. No phone to call reception. No sign to direct people to reception so initially we didn’t know where to check in.

There was a bunch of noisy youths loitering in the car park when I arrived. When I left early the next morning, I discovered ladies underwear strewn across the car park. Obviously as a result of some drunken good times. Would stay there again.

The Property is located on the North side of Mackay across the Pioneer River, not in the CBD.
It is in a quiet area and the rear part adjoins parkland.
The Motel does have a Restaurant and bar but unfortunately not operational when I was visiting, BACK IN Business by 4th Oct.

My room was large and quiet.
The double bed need to be trashed it was the most uncomfortable nights sleep rolling to the center of the bed all night.

Wish we could leave a better review but left disappointed & won't return.
Paid over $1,000 for 6 nights for a one bedroom apartment (not in school holidays). Main reason we booked this room for the 2 of us was for a comfy lounge & bed and looked great online.
We got neither. The bed was very uncomfy & the sofa was an old sofa bed that had collapsed in the middle (with suspicious white stains). We spent 6 days not being able to sit straight with bars digging into us. We also had to keep socks on the whole time as just normal walking around the unit left our feet dirty.
Also a screen on the only window would of been really helpful to keep out the midges as left with many bites.
Would be a great place with some money spent updating & better cleaning as great food at restaurant onsite & good location. Definitely not worth the money.
