The room was nice and comfortable, but there was a lot of construction going on. My room was on the First floor where most of the construction was going on. The hallway looked post apoplectic. It would be nice if Hotels.com can have hotels that under construction listed! I would have never paid the price for the room if I knew what I had to walk through each time I went to my room.

Property was great. Staff was fantastic only issue I had is I never was asked when booking if I’d be traveling with a pet nor did I see anywhere that stated there would be such a high fee for having a pet at the pet friendly hotel. That’s more an issue with Expedia I think than the hotel however the fee is almost as much as the room itself and is completely non refundable. I understand many pet owners think their pets are perfect angels and in reality they are not and should be charged for any damage they do. I just don’t think a person should pay double if their pet isn’t a terror. Perhaps Expedia could add an option of adding a pet to your trip so people know ahead of time the total cost of their room in advance. Thank you

Clean and adequate facility that met our basic needs. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was basic, but a nice extra.

our room was right next to the door for the stairs, you can hear the door open and shut and the people. other than that highly recommend this hotel

2 queen room was pretty good, better than average. Location close to a lot of shopping, which is what we mostly did. Breakfast was average. Seemed like they had an issue for breakfast one of the days, but I think that was a one-off.

Breakfast was horrible and they were unprepared for patrons. Had to wait half hour for food to be ready

Just some maintenance problems that needed fixing, but otherwise room & facility very nice. Really enjoyed having breakfast there.

I tried to change my reservation but was told they could not do that because there were no rooms available for the night requested but I went on their website and saw there were rooms available. So instead, because of their no refund policy, they got to keep all my funds for a room that wasn't used.

The front desk staff was amazing! We had a late arrival and Lance was very helpful in making sure our reservation was in order. By the time we arrived Terry was at the desk and she made check an easy and pleasant process. She was very friendly and extremely helpful!

Checkin was great and Lance was friendly and welcoming. But checkout was not great and the lady at the front desk was mean and un friendly. Maid service knocked twice even though we had the card on the handle not to knock. Inside the room said 12pm checkout but they called and insisted it was 11am. When I pointed out the discrepancy they could have cared less. Told me they didn’t have a credit card on file when they did and wouldn’t give me a receipt. If I wasn’t already leaving it was enough to make me want to leave.

This was a stop along the way to a family event in Washington, DC. Hotel was very convenient, right off the highway. Price was decent. Only difficulty was locating the hotel. No sign on the road, we had to hunt for the hotel and drive through a restaurant parking lot to find this place.

Upon arrival, the lobby smelled like weed. The front desk attendant was not around and had put up a “be back soon” sign. Fine - we waited a couple of minutes and she came to help us.
She had some some sort of note, knew our family was coming, but without telling us, gave our family of four keys to a room with one bed when we had reserved a room with 2. Of course, we had to come back down to the lobby and tell her that didn’t work. When we came down she was running to the elevators to check rooms because a couple was waiting for a room as well.
She told us she didn’t have a room with 2 beds. When we asked for help, she said she said to contact hotels.com. The chat agent was not responding, though.
She then gave us a key to a “suite” which turned out to also have 1 bed and a sofa bed. We went to the room and the sofa bed was broken, so we couldn’t sleep two people on it. We are ended up making a makeshift “bed” out of a chair and ottomans for our daughter so we could all sleep.
The place was run down and the room was stuffy and hot (on a 55 degree night.). It was pretty gross for a Marriott. Breakfast was pretty good, and I heard others complaining about the poor ventilation and climate control there as well.
We did arrive late, at almost 10 pm, but typically when this happens a hotel will call if there are any issues or to make sure we’re coming. The lady at the front when we checked out seemed perplexed by what happened but no one contacted us to follow up

Stayed several times 2021 to july 2022
Only complaint is last room was located next to elevator. I guess it was my turn for room 201.

There were used soap, shampoo, etc when checked-in. Stayed two nights, no change of towels, taking out of trsh, etc.

I was made aware on the last day of my stay when requesting shampoo and lotion since there was none in my room when I arrived, that they were out and had none. I had to drive to Walgreens to purchase items. My room was also uncleaned. I found old socks on the closet floor, a broken toilet paper holder, and hair on the coffee table next to the bed, as well as bottle caps under the sofa. Very disappointing. Staff were friendly and sweet, however, I will not be recommending this property or staying here again when in Wilmington.

For 170 a night we could have stayed in a best Western for half the price. We had to be put in 3 different rooms. They were all dity.i reserved a king and when we got there they only had double queens. The rooms smelled. It was the worse place i ever stayed. I am a Bonvoy member and that was very disappointing for a Marriott.

It was dirty and looked nothing like the pictures. The bed pretty much blocked the entrance to the room and there was no soft or anything. The rooms smelled and there was gum in the ac. The toilet clogged and the desk handed me the plunger.

The hotel is in great location. Limited interaction but service is very good. The only comment, not complaint, is that the fixtures are dated compared to other TownePlace we have stayed in.

My stay was disappointing. Upon checking in I found old coffee grounds still in the coffee pot. When I came in from my day the room had not been cleaned. When I inquired at the front desk I was told that they did not clean the rooms daily and someone should have told me when I checked in. I did not even have clean towels.
