We stay for 4 nights and it was pretty good! Pros - The location is great. Very safe and close to city center. The staff were all amazing. So kind and helpful. The pool is super nice, lots of daily activities, the beach is perfect. Brazilian restaurant was awesome. Buffet was pretty good for all meals. Cons - The room was not great. Needs updating and a deep cleaning. AC barely worked so the room was damp and musty. Mexican restaurant was bleh. Construction was happening on a few buildings right next to the beach so it was loud at times. Overall, not bad for the price.

the room itself wasn’t the best, the shower head broke on the first night, bed sheets weren’t changed once, we had a reservation for 3 but only got accommodated for 2 and had to constantly ask for the 3rd of things; food was very good in all restaurants and buffets, and the amazing staff made our experience way better. shout out to super joe

Well is my 3rd trip going to this hotel, i believe this hotel was sold or something because name is changed and is pretty quite compare to my previous trip, animation is pretty much not existing during the day around the pool and i remember in the past they used to dance around the pool and was really fun. At night time they have shows but again not compare like the past. Something i want to note on this review for whoever that read it that belongs to that hotel is that is a lot opportunities for the kids club, i went with my daughter and i took her to the club, the girl in charge is amazing and caring, the place has a small pool for kids, trampolin, small tables, tv like the club has a lot of things but there is not material to work, like not a single crayon for the kids to do a drawing, or to do activies while they are there. That club needs somone above the girl that take care of this simple things so that club can run smooth. Needs schedule structure. My daughter wanted to be there but there was not a single paper so she can color or anything. The food is alright not amazing. Also at the time they gave me the room, i was supposed to be vip and a lot of perks were supposed to be added. Wich when we got to the room we didnt have like extra stuff, welcome drinks nothing we have to call and everyday they were putting something from the list.

We LOVED our time at Be Live Marien Puerto Plata! The staff were all so friendly from the maids to the bartenders to the front desk. The restaurants were incredible with lots of variety and high quality dishes. The beach was beautiful with lots of space to go for long walks. The rooms were clean and seemed to be newly renovated. We also went on an amazing excursion to a nearby waterfall where we jumped and slid down many different waterfalls - it was very exciting! We had such a great trip and are looking forward to coming back.

The property lost a star for not having ac in the lobby or buffet area was hard to stay in these areas in steamy condition Noisy local kids and locals filling the pools, if you’re coming here to relax this resort is not for you. Super slow free wifi causing constant lost signals and too slow for any site pages to load up, they need to provide a better wi-fi experience If you are American or Canadian, they treat you differently than the locals. The rooms are nothing special and need an upgrade (cold water, water leaking in the bathroom, bathroom door did not lock) Room service was another issue, one day we had no blanket, the other they forgot to give us towels and another day they forgot to give us water. We left tip at the beginning of our stay (in the fridge as well), but had to stop because our room was always missing something, they didn’t even stock our fridge twice …. Food and service everyday was subpar.

The hotel is dated and needs some upgrades. In our room, the AC did not work and we had to call numerous times to get fixed. Also on last night, there was a leak in our bathroom ceiling. It was very hard to get a restaurant reservation as well. People were friendly and it was clean, but definitely needed improvement there.

We booked VIP package, the room was not great. Water Leaking, Ac wasnt working broken shower head are commen in most of the rooms. Also mostly same and predictible food every day in lunch and dinner. Speciality Restaurent has bad services and food.

All inclusive? This is the last time I will ever book this resort. There was literally no food at the buffet morning noon and night. Tons of locals with no wrist bands would come in and I was left with scraps. Boring no entertainment and everything closed at 7 -8pm. What a joke

The staff were super nice! Everyone from the servers to the cleaning staff and the bartenders everyone was super amazing! They had a lot of beach chairs around the pool and at the beach so there was always room! Only complaint is the food was ok I wish there were more Dominican styled food to choose from breakfast was great lunch and dinner was just ok

This resort is a great place to visit - the staff was great. Very convenient location from the malecón- and Pico Isabel de Torres- Jesus statue. Good food. Good entertainment. Pool. Beach. Shopping. Highly recommend. Very relaxing ambiance.

Food was ok, is a clean resort but some improvements are needed in the rooms and especially bathrooms. Personnel very nice and polite, our cleaning lady Griselda Almonte was exceptional. Nice beach and pool. Be aware they are a lot of cats that pee everywhere, they are friendly but the smell is unpleasant.

The environment is perfect, but the food is not at the level of the employees !! But, it’s ok, we had the chance to be a VIP guests, so we had 2 giant bedroom with our kids, 3 bathrooms, special treatment, access to the VIP Lounge. The main issue for the animation is that the employees speak mostly Spanish, rarely English. There were no planning of activities for teenager either. It could be nice for the future to have access on the beach to some pandles, kayak, small boat … We had a good restful Thanksgiving vacation.

For some reason they were not ready to receive us with our VIP package. They also didn’t have any washcloths. The safe was broken as was some of the drawers in the wardrobe. The people there are so nice and friendly it makes up for whatever was not ok.

Arrived at facility greated at front dest with the must rude attitude you could imagine from the staff. Proceed to provide my veteran disability request and was accommodated in farthest building top floor no elevator and room farthest away from staircase. Hairs in sheets,broken patio door, Inop a/c no lock on front door, safe with no lock, no wifi. Was charged extra for early check in adn food was worst I had in all santo domingo. Checked in at 12 left facility at 1 requested refund was denied by everyone in staff. Do no visit property unless you dont care about any of the above.. Old ragedy remind me more or a red roof than a resort to relax on vacation
