It has been a while since I wrote a bad review for a motel, but I had a big issue with this property. Arrived into town, booked a room minutes before pulling into the Motel 6, and tried to check in. The evening manager said that the water had been off for a while because of a frozen pipe (it is Wyoming in the winter) and that he recommended I cancel and stay elsewhere because there was no estimate of when the water would be running again. The plumber told me outside, when I was booking another room, that it would be a while and it would be wise to go elsewhere. The plumber and the front desk were in a small argument and it is after 9 PM; not a good sign. I contacted Hotels.com customer service the next morning and told them of the issue. The Motel 6 Rock Springs manager decided he was going to deny the request for my cancellation that could get my one nights stay money back. I do not think this is fair at all; that person knew about lack of water and I don't know how 2 people could have used the toilet, let alone shower or get a drink of water. Things happen, especially in frigid weather, and ethical businesses look beyond a cancellation policy and make things right. Sad that you decided to keep the money; you didn't really have a motel room to rent.

The floors were dirty. We walked around in our socks and the bottom of the socks were blackened. Flimsy cheap washcloths. Outside area around door was dirty. Mattress on bed was uncomfortable. Very disappointed. Will not be staying there again.

The problems i reported could have been addressed. I was reminded of the discount. Soap is cheap. Elbow grease is cheaper. Neither have anything to do with remodeling.

Well. Not as clean as it could have been- everything was in disrepair- the water was hot but the water pressure was terrible- towels were stained and there was a heavy disinfectant smell to everything- it was inexpensive which was good-

Heater made noises as If It was about to come rumbling down and the price was not charged correctly from Hotels.com . Called and was told that It would be compensated otherwise It would’ve been a huge Issue. The room was In terrible condition walls were peeling and bathroom door would not shut, but I had no choice but to stay because of how tired me and my family were.

Curtains were not all the way hooked on the rod, no wash clothes, no soap, shampoo, etc. Refrigerator smelled and freeze was full of water, very few options on TV for children and not the cleanest. And, No coffee pot but did have a small microwave. No heat but the office furnished a space heater. Outside was not maintain and several piles of dog poop. And, for some reason he charged me about $20 less then i was quoted online, which made it a little more in comparison.

This is an older Motel 6 undergoing extensive renovation. Our room was the classic Motel 6 room, clean, comfortable and basic. No complaints. A good stay at Motel 6 price.

While the staff is friendly they are not all skilled at their jobs, but make an effort. The Motel is in the process of renovation so some difficulties are not the fault of the facility. However working thermostats at this time of year is a complete requirement.

The heavyset man at the desk was arrogant and rude to my husband. It is cold here in late Sept, but he said they don’t turn on the heat til winter! He grudgingly gave us a heater, which flipped the breaker, and he was rude about flipping it back on again; we had to ask him again!

Both towels were disgusting. One had a blood stain and the other had a huge circular tear towards a corner. Also, there was a trash can under the P trap in the bathroom because it leaked so badly. Here’s an idea: Fix the leak amd THEN give out the room. Also, the shower was not cleaned and the water pressure was terrible. After seeing that, I grabbed a sleeping bag out of the car and slept on top of the bed. By the way, the fact that they are remodeling has NOTHING to do with how poor the room was. Obviously, no one there cares if the shower is not cleaned and the P trap is cracked.

Property was dated, as expected, so no issue there. Hair on the sink and one in bathtub. Noticed this morning the bathtub faucet had a steady trickle. I couldnt turn it off. When i checked in, i was told the AC only worked on low setting. I didn’t notice even that working.

The room had NO air conditioning. Front desk was notified and he said it was the switch but it wasn’t . Door to room wouldn’t lock. Door latch was broken .

For a pet friendly hotel they are not. When you check in there is a sign "YOU WILL BE CHARGED 100.00 IF YOU PET IS ON THE BED. Minimial lines 2 towels was all. My dogs got a hold of garbage left on the floor. A bottle cap and a medicine cp."

Very cheap rate means very cheap facility. Key didn’t work. Clerk gave us another key. Didn’t work. Clerk tried to access room, couldn’t. Gave us adjoining room. AC wouldn’t come on. It was 91 degrees & we faced into late afternoon sun. We left. Cheap means cheap, I guess.

The hotel is under major construction. Trash everywhere. After riding for 10 hours all we wanted to do was sleep but the were hammering and banging at 7pm. We ended up staying across the street and they wouldn’t refund us. If I could give this place zero stars I would

The parking lot has junk and furniture all over it, the window of my room is cracked, tv gets no signal or channels and the phone does not work, the vending machines did not work with credit card or cash...I booked this through expeda and it was non refundable so im stuck with it....there are many hotels and motels in the area

I guess you could say that the Motel 6 in Rock Springs filled the bill as a no-frills, budget-priced motel (less than ($60 for a single room). The room was clean and included a microwave and refrigerator. But the A/C did not work properly and the general condition of the overall property, which is being remodeled, was very shoddy. Contents of rooms being refurbished and various building materials were set out in front of the rooms and in courtyard areas. Sidewalks and stairways seemed to be crumbling. I can understand the need to keep the place operating during a refit, but the execution is off in this case.

We were disappointed with our stay. The motel was very dirty with appliances, mattresses, etc., left all over the hallways. Our sheets were dirty and if someone attempted to open the door from the outside, you could see the door moving in and out, which caused a lot of concern for when we were sleeping. The interior door that connects to another motel room didn’t lock at all and was only kept closed with a fridge and microwave put in front of it. We were very concerned for our safety during our stay and were very disappointed in how dirty the motel was. We wouldn’t stay here again.

The building looked like almost half of the rooms were under construction. Broken beds, cabinets and old toilets just sitting outside of the rooms on the sidewalk. The pool had been filled in with concrete, the garbage cans outside were overflowing and trash littered everywhere around the whole building. Inside the room- hair on the "clean" towels, blood stains on the mattress covers, smear of feces on the wall near the toilet paper holder, dirty shower stall and for some unknown reason- 2 microwaves in the room. Perhaps in case one of them didn't work? Will never stay at this place again.

Definitely the most ratchet place I have ever paid money to stay. AC broken, no wi-fi, window screens with holes in them, dirty floor, the lot. Don't stay here.
