We were in Fort Collins for my oldest son’s graduation. Tired & excited that we found a hotel nearby. The outside looked fine. Checked in & went to find our room. It took us a minute to locate as it seemed it was in a wing that was added on? Once on that hallway, we were hit with the smell of vomit. I immediately noticed two plug-ins in the hallway. We got to our room. It appeared nice & clean. The smell got worse inside our room! My son turned on the TV & it did not work. I return to the front desk & asked the young lady that we checked in with about the smell & the TV. She said that she would be down to check it out before she got off. It was really busy at the front desk at that time. 30 minutes went by & no one came to the room to check it out. I go back up to the front desk & the young lady that is there says that she didn’t know anything about it & the other girl had gone home. I asked her if she could come down & look at the TV. She said there’s no one here to help you with the TV. I told her the vomit smell was getting worse even though I’ve been spraying Bath & Bodyworks fragrance in the room & hallway. I opened up the windows in the hall & room to air it out. I asked to speak with the manager & the young lady at desk said there was no manager available to speak with! It was absolutely ridiculous! VOMIT SMELL AND NO WORKING TV!
The next morning the manager was nice, said they should have called them, & agreed to call hotels.com to comp me half the price of the room.

The hotel smelled badly the whole time. It was an unpleasant mixture of weed, vomit, and sewer.
The staff was nice but oh the smell.

Lots of confusion at check in with rooms. False fire alarm went off early in the AM which they were unable to clear so it continued the majority of the day. Key cards worked in several doors. Checked in to rooms that were already occupied. Staff did their best to accommodate but there were many frustrations for my family and the staff.

Hardly any breakfast

Bathtub was slippery as an ice rink. Very dangerous. Mattress was broken down and made sleep dificult.

It was good. The pool heater was broken but the staff was nice and breakfast was good.

Stay twice in a week and the staff was excellent. Room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was nice. Would definitely stay again!

Staff were VERY nice and helpful. Place smelled a little stale and the wifi was done during our stay. The breakfast options were good!!!

OK, but not the cleanest. They seem to always be remodeling, and there are a lot of boxes and junk laying around. The room was comfortable and quiet. the key entry doors are wide open so security is a concern.

Room was super dirty

Pros: Friendly staff, heater worked great, comfy pillows, and thankfully we didn't notice the smell other reviewers described!
Cons: Broken Ice machine, Broken vending machine, Broken exhaustvent in bathroom, Broken light (flashing) in bathroom, Broken outlet (missing cover plate that protects the live wires). We will most likely never start here again.

The front desk staff were excellent! She helped resolve a booking issue with Expedia so I wasn't charged for two nights instead of the one that I had reserved online. There were issues with the building and the staff worked really hard to work around it.

Parking lot has several large potholes, breakfast was good-long wait for replenishment of hot items. Strong odor throughout the building. Lights burned out in my bathroom along with broken bed-upon check-in. Reported to desk staff, nothing was done to remedy. Again reported at check-out. The bed in working condition was comfortable, limited linens in room.

This was a horrible stay. I paid for a king room and when I got there they didn’t have any available and put me in a double queen… then they said “if the room is still dirty when you get in there, just leave your bags in there and let us know and we will clean it.” That is the most peculiar thing I have ever heard of from a hotel. We got to our room and the beds were made, and looked like housekeeping had been through…. But the sheets had stains all over them and DOG HAIR all over. I took photos. I did see two different dogs behind the front desk while I was there. The hallway carpets were filthy and covered in debris the whole time we were there. And there is a sign on the 2nd floor that says “ice and vending” is downstairs…. But there is no vending…. And the front desk doesn’t sell snacks or drinks anymore because “people kept stealing them.” And the area is sketchy….

Hotel is old, walls are thin, smells a bit old. My room faced the highway and it was incredibly loud all day and night.

The lobby was filthy, dirty floor, dirt on tables , and surfaces. Behind front desk was a mess with all kinds of junk. They had huge dog behind the desk that got aggressive when we went to talk to them and it lunged and tried to jump over the counter but the guy grabbed it! The carpet on the second floor stunk like puke so bad we had to cover our noses. The pool area was filthy, unkept, dirty floor and moldy furniture. The pool was so cold it didn’t even feel heated nor did we feel that it would be safe to swim in given the conditions of the place! The man at the desk was not professional looking and had filthy hands with black dirt around his nails!! Disgusting! Our room was cleaner than the other areas and didn’t smell but we will NEVER GO BACK THERE!!!

Lots of leaks, missing ceiling tiles, there was cat food on the floor so it obviously wasn’t cleaned, black mold coming through the bathroom wallpaper in shower and the carpet throughout was damp. Back door does not lock.
Frond desk people were very friendly but the building needs lots of work. Good pillows and bed.

Walked in about 1030 or 11 PM. Booked room for two adults and one 8 year old child, literally 30 minutes in advance. Said kids was free. Nope they charged. It was late so I could deal with that.
Walked into hotel lobby and it was extremely hot. No AC, construction underway, but there’s no mention of that on their website. HUGE MISTAKE, shame on you Quality Inn, Choice Hotels.
I got our key, walked down the stinky hallway. Our door wasn’t even closed and locked. I just pushed it open. I walked to the window and thought OK, I’ll open the window. The window led to a hallway. No fresh air would be in that room.
Within less than two minutes, I walked back to the front desk gave him the key back and said we are leaving. I will say the desk clerk was kind and understanding. he said since you booked third-party you need to go through them but I don’t see a problem in getting a refund. I just got off the phone with Hotels.com. And I got my refund. Thank you Hotels.com.
Suggestion for Choice Hotels: when one of your hotels is under construction and the AC, or maybe the heat is out of service state that plainly on your homepage.

the ice machine was out of service for our entire visit. Front desk person said she would go buy some whenever a helper came in to cover the desk. Two hours later still no ice, so we went next door and bought our own.

This is a quality hotel and it is in the process of updating it's air conditioning systems.

We arrived on a 90 degree day to find that the hotel's air conditioning had been out of service for a several days. They allowed us to cancel our reservation but had to scramble and find another hotel. The nearest hotel was 10 miles away. The reservation was made a day before arrival and should have known about the hotel problems at the time we booked it.

The place feels like it hasn’t been touched since the 1970’s. Upon check in we were told the air conditioner was not working. Too late and too tired to change booking we stayed. Entering room there was a fan on & screen window open that didn’t close. Good thing we were on the 3rd floor security wise. Oh and the ice machine was broken.

Our stay was terrible. Their AC was out and our room reeked. Did not smell clean at all and we found our bath tub to be dirty like it wasn’t cleaned from previous people. Our room had no trash can and they had maintenance men working right by our window at 6am which was terrible considering we had to have our window open due to no AC. NEVER will stay there again or recommend it.

Property was in renovation, from failed AC chilled water pipes, was 108 outside. Because of Cheyenne's rodeo hotel rooms were a premium. This hotel was charging a premium, but the hotel should have been shut down as renovation has been going on for over two months. The ice machine covers were missing and the wiring was all exposed, very dangerous. No notice posted on Expedia. I will never stay at a Quality Inn again.

The hotel had absolutely no AC and no fans. Granted, they let us know at checkin there was no ac, but failed to tell us anytime prior and we had no other choice. We paid $400 to be sent to a room that was unmade with no towels with the worst smell imaginable. We then got switched to a different room that was made with towels, but the even worse of a smell then the first room. We ended up only “sleeping” for 2 hours because we were that worried about the cleanliness of everything after there was a stain on one of the beds and stains on towels. I will never regret a decision more in my life then staying at this hotel!

Hotel is under renovations. A/C was out and it was hot. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was overcooked. They should not be able to charge peak rates when they csnnot offer all amenities offered.

The place was ok but they had no ac so we had to have the windows opened. I had to drive all day the next day with only 3 hours of sleep due to the loud noise of the passing cars and the unbearable heat.

Never got to stay because Expedia would confirm the stay but then the hotel would cancel because no available rooms

Air Conditioning was out in the entire building. No individual room A/C. No fans provided. The windows could be opened, but bright Security lights shown straight in to the room.
Guest were loud late at night, and staff did nothing to get them to quiet down. Short staffed, only one young lady working.

Staff was always helpful. Rooms were quiet and clean. Reasonably priced.

We got in late and there was a note on the front door facing inward that there was no ac in the whole building. Once I approached the desk the lady was super sweet & dealing with an impossible situation as my room, like the gentlemen in front of me, had been double booked. Someone was already in the room we were slotted for and the reservations were such a mess that she wasn’t sure what room was available. The lady at the desk needs a raise for walking into such a crappy situation & those with reservations should have been called & told about the ac issue as trying to find a room at 1 am for a family of 4 is not a great situation.

Air conditioning was out. Our door to our room wouldn’t close unless we pushed super hard on it. Halls smelled musty.

This hotel is great as far as location. But the beds were not comfortable, the AC is broke and no one mentioned that, there’s no fridge in the room and the wall paper was falling off. The staff was super nice and great. We didn’t stay long due to the fact that the AC was broke and it was super hot out.

The air conditioning was broken. There was no bottom sheet on the bed. The room door did not lock when leaving the room. The door lock bar was misaligned so that it was unusable. The ice machine was out of service.

Currently no hvac, box fans in rooms, sits next to highway so noisy, limited hot water, so cold showers. None of this disclosed when checking in. Unfortunately disappointing stay. I generally do not leave bad reviews but this warrants one.
