The room was clean and neat but the layout was odd. There is no door on the kitchen and the refrigerator was noisy all night, bathroom was a little tight and we also shared a balcony with another room. The online pre check-in and access was far more complicated than it needs to be. Threatening to charge if a guest takes any items (coffee, saop, sugar, etc.) was not very welcoming.
4.0
Mirror in bathroom is not functional and lighting above mirror was flimsy and loose. Ceiling fan blades are in need of a serious cleaning. Shower faucet handles are loose which makes it difficult to turn water on/off. Lack of lighting at the house entrance door creates a hazard climbing the stairs and entering the home.

Traveled to Mt Dora for my husband's birthday: biking, bites, bourbon, and browsing the local shops. The accommodations were about 10 blocks from downtown and an easy 10-15 minute walk. Our room, the Azalea, was on the second floor. Very spacious, and clean, quiet and had a comfy bed. Air conditioner was a little musty but you can get that in an older house. The house itself housed 4 units and another 4 units in a carriage house adjacent to the property. Host was very reachable and texted several times with messages and offered any help we might need. Parking on the premises made it convenient.

What a beauitiful 1870's estate that has been lovingly restored. The bed was the epitome of comfort. Perfectly appointed, comfortble & in a great town who has revitalized into a perfect stay. We plan to visit annuallannually

I really enjoyed staying in my lil suite clean comfy so inviting, I wish I wasn't working and could spend more time at the place stayed 3 days

Well appointed room with plenty of towels, available toiletries, kitchen with plenty of utensils, beautifully decorated property with especially comfortable seating and common area. Property is located within walking to beautiful downtown area with abundance of dinning options. Hosts were personable, keeping in touch via texts to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Highly recommended. Will stay here again!!!

Super cute place and the room was great!! The bathroom on the other hand was extremely small. Like your feet rest in the shower when you are sitting on the toilet. Honestly the bathroom was our only complaint, everything else was awesome!

Good value, close in, quiet neighborhood, historical building, easy parking. Bathroom smallish, no staff on premises but quick phone response, wanted more history of the property. Would stay again.

Both shower handles came off while I was in the shower. Two of three lamps were unplugged. Room was set up very nicely.

Our room was large, cute and clean. The Estate is conveniently located less than 15 minutes from downtown MD. Their are restaurants near to try. The owner kept in touch with us dsily.

We like staying in historic Bed & Breakfast Inns and though this is not a true B&B, it has that flavor and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a lovely, historic building with tree covered grounds and is very relaxing. It is a 1/2 mile walk to downtown, which has many great restaurants and shopping opportunities. Be sure to take the 2 hour boat tour on Lake Dora. Looking forward to visiting again in the future.

We LOVED our stay at The Estates! Our suite was beautiful, comfortable and peaceful! The house was immaculately clean! We could walk to downtown and eateries! We would definitely stay here again and again! Note-stairs to upstairs suites are steep. If you have problems with steps stay downstairs or in the carriage house.

I thought the transformation of the barn was very uniquely done. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Love the coffee area . Restaurants and shopping are close by.

This property was convenient to downtown, had ample parking, and was in a quiet neighborhood. Text communication (with owner?) was good and directions for entry and internet connection were thorough. Beds were comfortable. We were surprised to learn that we were on the second floor, so if this is an issue for you, ask in advance of booking. There appeared to be 9 units at this property.. A charming looking older house and a building behind the house. We stayed on the 2nd floor of the building behind the house.

We spent two nights for NYE 2023-2024 and loved it here. Our space was bigger than we anticipated for the price we paid and loved that the main house and individual rooms had their own keyless entry. A super comfy king bed and a modern BIG TV with Netflix & YouTube TV accounts already logged in was a nice bonus, even though we didn't spend a lot time watching TV when in the room. Other apps available if you're willing to log into your own accounts. Spacious kitchenette and well stocked coffee/tea bar with Keurig or carafe options. HUGE and beautiful common areas downstairs and a shared veranda with one other room upstairs (at least we believed it was shared with the adjacent room). Outside sported a swing bench and hammock on a mostly quiet, tree canopied road that leads directly into the attractive heart of downtown Mount Dora. Mount Dora is beautiful anytime of year but especially so with the magic of Christmas. The Estate is within walking distance of three good restaurants and downtown, if you're up for the mile-long jaunt. Owners checked in on us regularly via SMS but not annoyingly. We will definitely book here again.

Although we were in the converted garage aka "cottage" we were given access to the main house which has a den, kitchen and lovely screened porch.

Wonderful location very clean well maintained room with all the accessories could easily serve as a efficiently room

We had a charming efficiency room ("Lily") in the carriage house. While the bathroom could use an update, it was very well appointed, as was the entire room and kitchenette. Clean, comfortable, and quaint. Best of all, the management truly cares about their guests' comfort and satisfaction. When an issue popped up on our first morning, Stephen took care of it immediately and went above and beyond for us. We would gladly stay here again!

The room was clean and the service wine and a welcome kit form you. This a nice place to share with family

Quiet and easy in/out; The bigger bed fell on the top left side corner when my husband went to lay on it but it was still a good bed for him to sleep.

Room was great. Had an awesome time

The property is awesome, very cute. I think the only issue we had was the water pressure in the shower was little to none. That was our only complaint everything else was very nice. Would definitely stay here again if the water pressure as fixed.

The bathroom was much too small an the bed was very uncomfortable. The room was actually too small for 3 people. There was too much furniture to navigate. The room was not very soundproof so we heard everything going on outside. Also, it needs a solid bifold door on the bathroom for more privacy. The location was great and the patio area was a great dining area but it needs 3 chairs. It was within walking distance of the city center and the tree lined street was gorgeous. It is a great place to stay if you are on a budget.

Great and quiet place to stay !

It was clean, these are petty details, the tv was a pickle, whoever rented it before us, passcoded the TV and made it impossible to watch a program, but the lady that cleans the rooms fixed it for us, the coffee pot was slow, it took 8 minutes to brew with a k-cup and the refrigerator door leaked right in front of the bathroom door. I didn't like the stairs, cause I'm old, but that's my fault for not asking. Otherwise it was lovely, its very quiet and peaceful, all the neighbors where nice and quiet. I loved the porches and the tree swing. Its close to downtown and lots of bars and restaurants. If you stay be sure to go down to the Lakeside Inn and have a cocktail and watch the sunset over the lake. Awesome sight. Jeramiah's is within walking distance and it was good. We ate there 3 times cause of the closeness. Enjoy your stay.

A great place for a girls trip. We enjoyed the "homey feel" and took advantage of the kitchen, dining, front porch and living room.

Extremely comfortable

Shower dripped and got floor wet. Used up our towels drying it up. No staff on site to get new linen and only gave us 2 face cloths for 2 night stay. Only other guest stayed above us and we could hear every move they made through the floor.
I stayed in the other building before and it was much nicer.
I recommend that you Avoid gardenia, Willow, marigold and Lily rooms. They're in the out- building. And bathroom is much too cramped. I will stay again as long as i stay in main building

Upon arrival, the room smelled of mold and mildew. There were no directions on how to operate the AC. We were hot at night. Figuring out the TV was near to impossible. The paperthin walls made it ridiculous to sleep as we heard the guy next-door to us snoring all night. The bathroom is so small that you had to put your feet on top of the shower step when you were on the toilet. The bathroom sink was not big enough to put two hands in. The door to the bathroom was a folding door that would not even close. Again, the walls are so thin that you could hear people talk cough, snore and also we heard their TV all night. The grounds were muddy, which made our car filthy inside. We were extremely disappointed in our choice and we’re thankful we were only there for two nights.

This was our first daughter and mother trip, the room was very nicely kept, very clean & decorated. I would book again. Our only issue was the AC in main room was noisy, not so bad during the day, but hard to fall asleep. Secondly .having chairs or a small sofa to sit would have been great...plan to schedule another trip in november

Beautiful property. Wonderful historic gem worth preserving. Love that the owners are engaged in preservation.

I’m in town on a business trip and I allowed the CFO to choose my accommodations for the week. They, of course, booked the cheapest place they could find. And naturally, I got what they paid for, a terrible experience (I’ll spare you the details of the bad experience and get to the point) I made an executive decision and checked out of that place and found this one myself. Boy am I glad I did. For only about $30 more a night, the difference is astounding. I feel a level of hospitality here of that of a family member or close friend. It’s been much needed, and very much appreciated. Such lovely vibes. Thank you!

This property is amazing! So cute so colonial. Loved the creaking of the wood floors the swinging of the screen door. The grand piano as soon as you walk in. With multiple music books. just an amazing place. Close to everything downtown. Five minute drive. A must stay when in the Mount Dora area.
