This hotel is pretty neat, they do a really good job. Not like your typical chain style hotel room. Bottom line is the view of the sawtooth mountains and onsite geothermal spring.

Terrible evening desk service. Deceptive amenities advertising.

Excellent reception and information. We were able to check in early on a very snowy day and that was great. I recommend an upstairs room as there was someone walking above us for a long time and the noise was irritating, just from walking normally in the room.

This was a rustic stay that offered a beautiful hotspring to relax in. The restaurant had good food, we ate dinner and breakfast here. I rented a basic, double queen room. The bathroom was not as clean as I would have hoped. There was hair and crumbs in the tub, and soap residue in the tub and sink from the previous guest. There were crumbs on the bathroom counter as well, some things seemed to have been overlooked in the bathroom. The bed was not very comfortable. The restaurant and hotspring made up for the room.

Our stay was great! Not much to do in town. But we came for the hot springs and they have a private one on property, so that was cool. The only complaint that I have was the bed wasn’t very comfortable.

There were 4 people in the hot Springs that were not guests with no waiver or reservation, at our time and in the nude . We had to tell them to go check in the front desk.
It was really special to come back and enjoy the Inn. Staff was great!

It’s in a great location in the Sawtooth Mountains. Dog friendly. Restaurant and bar/patio next door. Friendly staff. It was clean and nice. Beds comfortable which is important. Just an old lodging so lots of noise from upstairs rooms. Guessing upstair rooms quieter. Beautiful view of surrounding mountains.

The confirmation indicated a 3pm check in, arrived around 3:30 and was told it would be a few minutes for the room to be ready. Went on and checked at 4:30 still no room ready and would be called in a few minutes. Didn't receive a phone call and checked again around 5:15 and was able to get a room. Person at the desk had no knowledge of a phone call to notify me. Under most circumstances wouldn't have been a big deal but I had a surgical procedure done earlier in the week and needed to lie down, I did mention to the person at the desk the second time I went in.

The room was fine for one night. The restaurant next door was very good, but there was not much around the property. It was good for a one night stay. There were a LOT of pets and dogs barking, but they did settle down at night.

Comfortable, quiet. A little worn around the edges but aren't we all...

The water did not stop running into the toilet after flushing. I liked the queen size bed. I got a good nights sleep.

Excellent location near hiking trailheads. Grocery and gas conveniently near. Walk to (small) town with restaurants and post office.

I had just sprained my ankle and their hot springs hot tub was perfect for that. Between that and my drink with a good dinner at the resort, I got the best night’s sleep in a long time.

Even though the place has age, new beds should be a priority.

After spending the day on the lake, we checked in and got our key and went next door to eat. We then went to our room which faces West and the sun. It was about 79 degrees which isn’t terribly hot but we were sunburned and were looking forward to turning on the AC. But there is no AC. We called the front desk and were told they didn’t have any units available with AC but could give us a fan. We already weren’t super happy with the room- the bathroom floor and bathroom vanity backsplash were dirty. We did pull back the bedspreads and the sheets looked clean and the mattresses didn’t seem too bad. The room looked like a 1970s motel 6. I don’t think they have changed anything in over 40 years however I believe they are renovating rooms. When we ended up deciding to drive the 3 hours home instead of sleeping there, we called the property about a refund and were told it states they do not have AC on their website, however we booked thru Expedia, and I cannot find that mentioned anywhere.

Rustic, so befitting the locale.

Had the reservation dates mixed up. The desk attendant didn’t seem to care and wouldn’t do anything to change the reservation or help. He just shrugged his shoulders. We had to drive 5 more hours through the night to get home missing all we had planned to see in Stanley and the Stanley Basin. Not to mention loosing $150.00 for the room. Happened the night before in Hamilton, Mt at the Quality inn. The desk attendant there did everything he could to change the reservation date, was very pleasant and got us a nice room. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with what happened in Stanley, Idaho and the Hotel there!!!

Overall okay. As I expected with the other reviews. Breakfast and staff were great. Old looking place with poor lighting but was comfortable. Walls were very thin. Im pretty sure I could hear my neighbor snoring.

The check in staff were very friendly and helpful. That was the only good part of my stay. While I had amazing views of the Sawtooth Mtns, the "lodge" needs some work and not worth the expensive price. Walls are paper thin. You can hear every time someone uses water to flush the toilet or take a shower. It wasn't that clean, the bedding was old and the spread had holes in it. Double beds, average. They still have COVID policies in place, which is ridiculous so any type of service is only upon request. People below me had a dog and each time they left the dog wailed and you could hear it all. The second night the power went out and the fire detector beeped all night and I couldn't sleep. Couldn't wait to leave. The restaurant next door was very overpriced, but the food I had was GOOD. There aren't a lot of lodging choices in the area. When I come back (because it's beautiful), I'll choose different accommodations.

Great view of Sawtooths out window, nice drink ticket for restaurant next door but no breakfast and not a good tv selection.

The view is amazing! We visited before busy season so most the restaurants in town were still closed for winter. Ate at the mountain village restaurant a few nights and was very good food and they even have several different vegan options which was pretty great to have in such a small town

The staff was amazing and the location of the lodge can't be beat! But BEST feature was the natural hot springs fed Hot Tub!! I feel like I would travel to Stanley just for the hot tub at this lodge :)! The restaurant/ saloon has outstanding food and really friendly servers and hosts! The rooms felt a little worn out but clean and comfortable.
I do wish the lights were a little more muted because they made night sky viewing from the vicinity of the hotel difficult.

My cousin and I stayed here for my birthday weekend and would highly recommend this place to anyone! The people in Stanley are some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met and the staff at Mountain lodge were great! Thank you and we’ll be back! ❤️
