The new management was wonderful however they admit they have lots of work to do to improve/ modernize rooms, which is the plan. Things are generally shabby, but clean and comfortable. With improvements, it will be a great place to stay.

Loved the location, could walk to any place in town from there, could hear the river all night with windows open,
Charlie and Roxann where great hosts, definitely will be returning next time I’m heading back to that area.

Great customer service and welcome. Room was very nice. Biggest issue was noise from above and the outside stairway being right at our room. Sounds like I’m nitpicking - it was a beautiful place!

Loved Ouray! The only complaint was loud stomping up stairs after 9pm and hearing vomiting above us during the night

Gave us a room that was not cleaned. We got a new one. Was on 2nd floor. Sidewalks and stairways were not shoveled from snow. Very slippery. Coffee and breakfast sacks were not available at 8 am. Hot tubs were over filled with people at night so we couldn’t use.

This property has everything you need for short stay with dogs. Owner John is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Having dog park right next to property was a huge plus, and the area around is cute and charming with river running next to it. Our room was nice with king size bed and shower was clean. Also this place has really good coffee during breakfast service a lot better than the coffee shops in town.

We like the facility as you can almost feel like you are camping because you can cook,etc.

We really loved our stay here. It was a beautiful area and we loved being right next to the river. We felt very safe, and the staff were kind and friendly.

The beds are very comfortable and seem to be newer. But the rest of the room is out dated. My biggest turn off was that the room smelt like someone had smoked in there. The staff was very friendly and you are two blocks from the main drag.

Nothing worked check-in person says they can't afford to fix anything. At $250.00 a night come on.

The check in process was beautifully handled by Laura! Such a kind and respectful young lady. The room was a double queen room that was a great size. Pet friendly with a nice dog park attached at the back of the property. We booked last minute over Columbus Day but the rate was doable. All in all we had a great visit!

So it can be a little bit loud because of the dog park behind it and the dogs on the property. But that’s the nature of a pet friendly motel! The room I was in was very nice and the staff were kind. I loved being so close to the dog park and walking into the town everyday for shopping and meals. ALSO AWESOME hot tubs

We have been traveling for business/pleasure across 4 states. River’s Edge is our best accommodation so far. The greeting and service were warm and genuine. The room was perfect for two: current, clean, and well appointed.

It's a older motel, they still use "Covid" as an excuse to make you ask for housekeeping or you can put your towels and trash outside. The so called breakfast is a paper bag you grab at the office with a water, a snack bar, a very small muffin and if you want a hard boiled egg or yogurt you ask for them. The price is in-line with other's in the area but the fees and taxes are not included until arrive. Made a difference in the overall price. It does have a nice outdoor setting area by the river and plenty of flowers everywhere. All and all I think it's over priced for what you get.

Very average, it needs updating!! Bed felt like three layers of egg crate foam. Quick sand. Ceiling lights full of nats, and bathroom also had them stuck to ceiling. Fridge ice box needs defrost that yellowing ice off. They really need to invest to keep the place up. Hot tubs need cleaning and fixing. Cheaper rates equal lower expectations.

Very nice owner, beautiful views feom balcony with chairs to sit on. 2 hot tubs, big comfortable rooms with kitchenette. Wonderful place to stay.

The room was great and the staff was so nice and accommodating. We loved the location next to the river. It was so peaceful. Perfect place for a getaway from the busy life.

Beautiful setting right next to the river, felt private and cozy. Most excellent hot tubs, beautiful grounds, and our host, John, was so helpful and nice. We will definitely stay here again!👍👍

From what I saw, this is where you want to stay when visiting Ouray! 24 hour access to two hot tubs located right on the river. Centrally located and close to everything. We woke up late on our check out day and the owner was nice enough to give us a later check out. Staff goes out of their way to make the stay positive and memorable.

Very friendly, family owned, and nice and clean. Easy to walk to all the shops in town. Fire pit and hot tubs on all night!

John and his daughter run this amazing lil gem in Ouray and are fabulous hosts! The hotel is quaintly nestled next to the river, quiet and homey feeling. There’s 2 hot tubs and a nice fire pit area with tables and chairs to hang out. Rooms are clean, no carpet (yay!) and spacious.

Stayed in the queen family room unit and the room is quite nice. Lots of room comfy beds very clean and quiet. The location next to the Creek is awesome. 24 hr access to the two nice jacuzzis next to the creek is just heavenly. Very friendly staff and guests. This is my 3rd time staying here and it’s still on my favorites list. Wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else in Quray.

The property was close to the Main Street of town. The rooms definitely need some work. We were on the first floor which we requested but there were people above us with kids and they were running and jumping off beds. Very disturbing. I wish all motels, hotels would put signs in the upstairs rooms to be considerate of the people below them. Also had to call staff about a big limb that was broke hanging off a tree on the drive to the rooms that was so low it was hitting the top of cars. They did kind of fix it but we worried it would break off since they didn’t remove it like they should.
