The room was clean and very close to resturants .
Only a couple of blocks to the train station.
Best plan to go out for breakfast.

Perfect location, clean, cozy and the staff was friendly.

Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Near train station and a few minutes away from restaurants and shops. Recommended for short stays ie. 1 or 2 nights. There is no staff or service. The manager/owner greets you upon reception and shows you the ropes and hands over the keys. It was for a short stay to visit Cinque Terre and was ideal for us for 1 night.

Awesome to be greeted by the owner. Only 5 rooms, but all unique. Each named after the villages of Cinque Terre.
Rooms are on the 3rd floor of a building. One gets several keys when arriving, one for front door, one for mini elevator, one for floor access and one for your room. Water, coffee etc provided.
Very fast free internet. Close to train station, restaurants, stores and town centre. Would high recommend and return again

Clean apartment with all necessary items in the room. Great host that gives a lot of information on the area and gives good recommendations. Close to city center. Quiet place. Good air-conditioning. Breakfast is not in the apartment but at walking distance in the historical center

No luxury, but very nice. The bathroom was a bit small. Everything in A1 condition, and very clean.
The breakfast is served by a mini restaurant nearby; pretty low on protein (a croissant or a danish, etc.), but I guess this is how the Italians have breakfast.
Located 1.5 block from the train station or from the beginning of a pedestrian shopping street.

Stayed here to visit Cinque Terre, train station is less than 5 mins walk away.
Andrea and his wife are great hosts and could not do enough to show all of the features of the room and the local area (La Spezia and Cinque Terre).
The rooms are modern and well furnished.

Great location only a five minute walk from the train station. Andrea contacted us beforehand to make sure he was there for our arrival and he provided us with lots of information about La Spezia and Cinque Terre when checking in. The room was spotless and he provided us with everything we could possibly need!! We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location in proximity to La Spezia Central and close to many restaurants. Easy walking distance to the ferry to Cinque Terre. Room was clean and comfortable with excellent air conditioner (was hot and humid outside during July). Only challenge was getting in, no communication ahead of time to coordinate entry since the owner does not live on premises you must call them on the mobile number listed in the reservation document. Once called a person met us at the property within 5 minutes. We noticed other guests had a similar issue, so advanced knowledge of notification process would have been helpful. Accommodations were great, we would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.

Andrea and his wife 'were so sweet and friendly. The room was one of the best we stayed in in Italy (we were on a budget and often had shared bathrooms in our price range). Clean, cute, comfortable (mattress is on the firm side, but I like that), and EXTREMELY convenient to the La Spezia train station (just down one flight of stairs and walk two blocks). This was our home base for a couple of days while we hiked and played in the Cinque Terre and we absolutely loved it. They were also great about letting us leave our luggage at the hotel after we'd checked out our final day. Thank you!!!

Andrea was great, he communicated excellently with us both before we arrived, and gave great information for visiting La Spezia and the Cinque Terra area. Honestly the best nights sleep I’ve had in the last 10 days, the bed is a nice memory foam mattress and pillows, and the decor is nice as well. I would highly recommend staying at Altamarea, and will myself if I find myself in La Spezia again.

Checking in process was not clear. On our arrival at the apartment the host was not present and we were unsure on how to contact the host. This left us concerned of a no show. Fortunately, contact was established and the check in was completed without a problem. Andrea was helpful in providing good advice on visiting Cinque Terre. The room was clean and comfortable.

Nice hotel. Perfect location close to train station. Hotel owner or manager was super friendly and willing to share tips on getting around. Comfortable stay overall

The small hotel was spotless, it looked brand new. Everything was white and clean. Really great initial impression. The owner doesn't stay at the hotel and there isn't a front desk, which can be a pain checking in. I had to pay to use my cell phone to make a call to the hotel to schedule my check in. The price is a little high as well, esoecially for the area. I came to visit Cirque Terre and found many hotels in the actually 5 villages that were cheaper and more charming. If you want to stay in La Spezia, though, it's a nice, comfortable place to stay for one night.

Adorable rooms, each decorated in black and white sea creatures representing the 5 villages of the Cinque Terre. Staff was very friendly and helpful with information to plan our trip to see the area. Small fridge in room. Good water pressure in shower. Hotel conveniently located walking distance to the trai. Station and the boat station. Close to shopping, local pedestrian street.

Two blocks from train station and downtown. 10 to 15 minute walk from the ferry service to Cinque Terre. This a a reel find. The owners care about their guests and they care about their hotel. It's clean, quiet (new high quality windows installed) and centrally located. Yes, we would come back and stay!
