Check in was a breeze. The staff was extremely caring from the front desk receptionist to the restaurant staff. I had surgery, so I have no voice. Everyone was so helpful and made sure I was taken well care of. The receptionist even gave me a little handwritten note thanking me for being a nice guest. She made sure the waitress in the restaurant knew of my problem. The waitress was also very attentive and very sweet. I love this hotel

Perfectly suited to what we wanted, as we travel to photograph wildlife and are not "into" cities. The only slight issue was that, in Quebec, for political reasons (I can only assume that as every other country in the world uses common sense) signs, including road signs, are not repeated in English. If you have no knowledge of French this can be dangerous in some circumstances, and does not allow compliance with hotel regulations unless there is an English-speaking member of staff present.

The room was very clean. However, some technical issues that were raised two years ago still did not get fixed. The room was very quiet. Breakfast was very good and service was fast.
To my great pleasure I learned that there was a spa, but I was displeased to learn it was closed. (Perhaps due to the forest fires in the area).

Sitting by the river was a majestic backdrop for relaxing after a long drive. Restaurant was excellent and for us not speaking French they were great

Reception closed at 8pm, had to go to other location in Shawinigan where we were told the key was in an envelope stuck to a wall. I guess calling me to give me this info was too much work for them

Beautiful view of the river but no immediate place to swim in it however the hotel rooms and restaurant were great and clean and we would definitely come back and stay again! Thanks for the beautiful stay Quebec!

uncomfortable mattress, felt like sleeping on concrete. room was crowded with toe-stubbing obstacles. shower head was broken (and had poor water pressure) but bathroom was clean and updated otherwise. my room was in the basement and smelled musty as basements tend to do.
the location and river were stunningly beautiful though.
it was fine for a night but couldn’t sleep on that mattress more than once.
fyi the walls and floor are paper thin and you can very clearly hear the room activity above and beside you: walking, sneezing, talking, snoring, etc.

Excellent location. Unfortunately no cell phone signals. One way good to disconnect from the world and spend your time with your near and dear.

Apéro by the river is the best....restaurant serves very comfy food and it is perfect after a day visiting the area and being in nature

The hotel was different for what i was expecting. The customer service provided was acceptable. The room given to us was way too small, the beds are totally uncomfortable which the next day I woke up with back pain, I couldnt sleep at all. The hot tub was not set up to the right temperature, its was cold outside and the hot tube was warm and not hot at all.

Beautiful location. The food at the restaurant is comforting. The room, for the price, was fine. I hate carpets though. They always make a room smell.
