very, very small bathroom. everything was clean

Every thing is tiny and squeezed, even the toilet is so compact and you should put your face on the opposite wall to use it. The hot and cold water come out from different tap and the sink below is dirty and you don’t want to mix the water there. No shampo, no conditioner, no body washer, only has two quarter size soap.

Nice little cabin type place. Very, very comfortable great stay! The first light mobile coffee in town was excellent!

The Whistling Swan Motel is a true gem located just outside the turn into East Glacier National Park on US-2.
This tiny, quaint, rest your head on a comfy bed no frills but super cute motel is a nice spot to recuperate & restart adventure the next day.
The rooms are smaller but the hospitality is big; from being welcomed to our departure the staff was always happy to chat.
The bathroom is tiny but you’ll make do; be sure to bring some shampoo as none is provided (which is completely ok).
We snuggled into a comfy bed with pillows that were perfect softness awakening the next morning ready to explore what the day had in store.
The Glacier Trading Post is a short walk from your room to seek any provisions & First Light Espresso is just across the street where delicious beverages are brewed while you contemplate your day.

Never even checked in...went somewhere else! Very sketchy.

I don’t know how to rate this motel. Check in was at a local “trading post”. I was handed a key and told to park on the street next to a US high way. I was glad I parked on the street, if I had parked on the motel lot, its impossible to get out. We want to check out early, but the trading post isn’t open yet. There is no drop box, so we drop the key in the post office mail box. The key says it will eventually find its way to the motel. At least we got internet and streaming service. Did check fir bed bugs, I really don’t want to know.

Better than you may think.
Great communication.
The staff (couple of stores from motel) were able to assist with late check-in. You have to try their diner.

Stayed for one night, we have stayed at this hotel before. As always, it was affordable, clean and comfortable, we always seek out this hotel when we are in this area. As it’s next to the park, it and some of the other services are seasonal.

This is a very adequate small room. It was clean. I would describe it as a typical 70s motel 6. The heat worked and there was a window. The shower did not drain. It is very close to two medicine entrance

This place Is a definitely don’t judge a book by its cover. The hotel looks old on the outside but is very nice and clean on the inside. All staff I interacted with were extremely friendly. We stayed 5 nights and were pleased with everything. WiFi is spotty but it’s the mountains so it’s expected. The restaurant has super good food and service. Parking is a bit crowded but you can definitely make it work if everyone parks smart and not like idiots. We would definitely stay here again!

By the railway and major street

Everything about this property is poor. It is at least clean. But old and dilapidated. It is not quaint as the name might infer. Parking is tiny. Had to walk two blocks to check in. Do not book with this property!

I had originally booked a Red Bus tour that started and ended in East Glacier Park. When I changed my tour, I forgot to change hotels. This resulted in a long drive to get back and forth to the park. Our room was very small and the electrical wiring was a joke. Extension cords and power strips on every wall. If you are staying on the east side of Glacier NP, I would suggest staying closer to Babb,

Everything you need to rest up between days of exploring East Glacier! Would easily stay again.

Not much to lookat outside but my roomwas very nice.

Do not judge this outside appearance. The inside is updated well enough. I prefer firmer mattresses; this one was a little soft. I always bring my own pillow, but my partner said the pillows were fine. I loved the towels, very absorbent. Carpet needs a good cleaning. This place is pricey and no breakfast, I guess you are paying for being close to GNP. Enjoy your stay!

Check in was easy but it’s and old lodge.
It was clean .. rooms are very small but have to balance that with the price. It was a stop over for us not a destination.

The hotel is super cozy. The owner is super easy going, feel free to give them a call with any questions. He told me which stores to go and find the supplies I needed.

Inside, the room was clean and cute. Well decorated. Lots of woodwork. Fairly quiet.. But it is across the street from the railroad tracks. Some trains do go by at night. And the immediate surrounding area is a bit rundown, but was operating for services. And you have to go to the general store a block away to register and get your room key as they also run the motel and the store. Short handed I guess. It's all located in the older section of town. So the price could have been a bit lower for all that.

Nice place to stay when entering east glacier natl park. The location was convenient and the place was nice and clean. Also very quiet.

Tiny bathroom and retro tube TV, but clean and comfortable. Parked car right outside door.

The room was extremely small. The carpets were dirty. The bathroom was dirty. The parking was very limited. We would definitely not stay there again.

The room was small and you had to step up into the tiny bathroom. The August one night cost of $180 was over priced, too. The town was interesting and close to Glacier Park Two Medicine Lake. Enjoyed breakfast at a local diner.

This is a simple but comfortable and convenient place to stay in East Glacier, with easy access to the national park and good restaurants; I would stay here again.

Other than the outside appearance looking like a set from a zombie movue it wasnt bad. Need a bigger sign or note when booking about the check in being at the store. Place was very clean on the inside and does not resemble the curb appeal. Near the tracks and trains run all night.

The Whistling Swan is a spotless motel with all the amenities a traveler would want, including a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, TV, and air-conditioner. We enjoyed our stay in Room 7 with all of the knotty pine.

Very overpriced. Shabby . Very Small

The owner was very helpful at check in. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. The location was very close to the Two Medicine Entrance to Glacier NP.

East Glacier Park is a unique and very small city. The Whistling Swan fit right into that description. It is old, and it is dated but still, it has a TV, a microwave and a refrigerator! However, the carpet in our room was a shag is desperate need of replacement. The bathroom was a nice size but the tub was broken and the shower stall had some mildew in the bottom.
When we arrrived, the sign at the back of building told us to enter in the front door. But then there was a sign on the front door, telling us to go down two blocks to the Trading Company where we were checked in. The owner was pleasant and friendly. When we entered in the front door of building there was definitely a musty smell which thankfully did not extend to our room. The entrance room was quite cluttered.
Based on our experiences thus far, if one comes to this part of Montana, expect the lodging to be more like this so that one's perception is not bigger than reality.

Simple motel at first sight, but very nice, comfy and spacious.

I planned to stay in East Glacier after planning a trip to explore, hike and photograph parts of Glacier National Park. Upon arriving East Glacier there was a sign on the door to got down a block to Glacier Trading company. Mark gave me the key and told me to into the main building and my room would be on the left. A very nice spacious room with a nice bathroom. The next morning I went to the diner next to the Trading Co for a fantastic breakfast before the next leg of my trip.

The place was great and great checkin process for one night stay. However The place was little smaller than we expected. Apart from that rest everything was great

We had to walk two blocks to register and get the key. There was nothing posted about this and we wouldn't have known except for the guy painting the sign.
The room was very tiny, had a larger shower on a cruise ship and the bedside table and lamp were sticky and dirty.
We should have gone to another place.

One needs to walk 2 blocks to a different place to get keys and other store is only open until 8 pm. I would recommend that you take the property off the recommended list completely

Parking is not up to par, WiFi is spotty

The property's exterior appeared old and run down. That was deceiving. The room was in top condition. Had to go to the general store a couple blocks away to check in. Staff was friendly and efficient. Parking lot is small.

we did not even stay at the property. There were no pictures of the outside - it is very very dated
my companion did not feel it was safe so we left and found another place to stay at. for another 50 dollars ? a night we found accomodation at a lovely hotel.

Check in was OK, but the room was in ear shot of trains running throughout the night. Room was good.

Great for the overnight we needed. Clean and efficient. Need to check the wall switch for the ceiling light in #6.

My wife and I were looking for a place to hang our head for the night before heading to the East Glacier Park entrance in the a.m.. This quaint, outdated little oasis with the cordial proprietor worked for us albeit with a few blemishes. Definitely not fancy but within walking distance to iconic lodge and local joint for grub. A throw back to the 70”s if you will and we were good with that!!!
