The hotel had everything that I needed. If you forget anything I am sure they will have it there. The jacuzzi was amazing. My partner and I enjoyed it daily. Most staff spoke little English however they went out of their way to understand us with apps and we're very thoughtful. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Japan.

I really enjoyed my seven nights here. The staff was friendly, my room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, I loved the shower room, sauna, & jacuzzi. I wished I had time to use the karaoke machine. Next time! The location was convenient. Most of my points of interest, including the train stations, was within a 10-minute walk. If I decide to stay in Shinjuku again, I would rebook this hotel.

This property is being managed well above normal standards. All staff working in the different shifts were very helpful. The dry sauna and oversized bathroom equipped with a jacuzzi could easily beat most 5 star hotels.

Lots of great amenities (lotions, hair products, etc.). Enjoyed the mist bath. Helpful staff. Highly recommended! :)

I had a rough first 24 hours..wallet left in cab and absolutely dead tired. Not only did they defer until the next day, they helped getting wallet back. Room was great and roomy, location great, would book again in a heartbeat.

This place is incredible. As other reviews stated, don't let the "love hotel" status put you off. The rooms were bigger than standard rooms in Tokyo, the amenities were like no other hotel (better than 5* hotel), the staff, although a little language barrier, went way beyond to make sure your stay was comfortable. So clean, in-room whirlpool and sauna made me not want to leave. Quiet area but so much is so close and walkable. Higashi station is like 3 minute walk, and gets you anywhere you want to go in the city (connections sometimes). One thing I would say, if you have more than a backpack, take a taxi from Shinjuku station. I took limo bus into Shinjuku and rolled suitcase to hotel....next time I'll take a taxi from the station. It was dark upon arrival, and being my first time in Tokyo, it was a little tense walking to hotel. Don't let the area scare you after dark....as soon as I unloaded luggage and walked the area, I saw it was very safe and well patrolled by police. This hotel is amazing, and next time in Tokyo, it's a for sure stay here. Don't miss this one....it beats any 5 star hotel I've stayed in for quiet relaxation with amenities and staff that can't be beat!

So this is a love hotel - but don't be turned off by that! It's actually quite classy and pleasant, and a great place to stay for a full vacation in Shinjuku! Loved everything about the place. I booked it on the strength of the reviews it received. I had never experienced a Japanese Love Hotel before, but can confirm it did not feel seedy at all, in fact it was rather luxurious. The lovely Suzuki gave us a warm welcome and allowed us to check in early, which was so much appreciated after a long flight from the UK. We were also gifted a bottle of Cava on our last night, which regrettably we were unable to enjoy due to a very early start to fly home. Am planning on returning to Tokyo asap and wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. Huge thumbs up. It was perfect for our stay.

Perfect way to spend the last couple days of our trip in Tokyo! Great amenities and a very helpful staff that was always willing and happy to help with any issues, and they also helped us call a taxi upon check-out.

Location is nice staff are friendly comfortable the only bad thing is that every-time I leave the hotel I have to give them the key back overall happy satisfied

Staff was super nice and they always had an English speaker to help. We arrived early so we checked our luggage and when we returned to check in our luggage was already in the room. They also helped with taxis and made sure the driver new were we were going. 5 stars for great service

I would have liked a softer bed and more songs on the karaoke. More cosplay options but besides that it was an ideal hotel. Also we weren't served breakfast which made us sad. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to friends to stay as well as stay again next time we are in Tokyo. I give you 4.8 stars out of 5 stars. I thank you for the wonderful stay and best service I've received any where.

Loved our experience here! The hotel is situated on a street full of Love Hotels which is so unique. Check in was easy, the lobby was cool looking, and the room was laid out perfectly and about double the size of any other rooms we stayed at in japan. Loved the sauna, the jet tub with Tv, and different lighting options. Plus the goodies like face masks, naughty things and stocked bathroom amenities. Would absolutely stay again!

My husband and I loved this place, we stayed here on our last day of our trip and Im so glad we did! It had everything you could possibly need you could party or relax up to you! you could lounge in the jacuzzi and watch tv, or drink and sing karaoke. Also the room is huge (in comparison to anywhere else we stayed in Japan)

I loved the amenities of the room, the in-room sauna and jacuzzi were phenomenal and made the ending to a long Asia trip perfect. Our only negative experience was with ordering room service. We ordered twice and the first time was with a female staff person, all went well. The second male staff person that took our order seemed inexperienced and we received the wrong order despite our use of pictures to avoid the potential language barrier. Otherwise, good location, close to all night life and restaurants in busy Shinjuku area. Beds could be more comfortable. complimentary water was a nice perk.

Always a pleasure. This hotel is a nice way to relax in tokyo, this was my second time here. After a long Hectic day in tokyo, Its nice to put on some sauna and jacuzzi and just relax. Also the massage-socks were amazing. Television is super-hightech with lots of good movies/Music videos/entertainment included kn room price. (No extra charge for that). Room service works Well. There is no breakfast, But there is nice places nearby. And room service. And karaoke. Cleaning of room was 100% spot on! Just amazing!!! Highly recommend this for couples having a romantic trip.

This hotel is not only super convenient for travelers, but SO LUXURIOUS! Don’t let the stigma of this being a Love Hotel sway you from booking. Mary Lou is the English speaking staff and she will explain all the functions of the room for you—plus she’s super nice! The room is complete with a sauna, jacuzzi tub, karaoke, surround sound audio, AND you can rent a Wii U from downstairs if you want. The hotel also give you a bag of souvenirs, bubble bath, and Epsom salts too! A great place to relax! The Higashi-Shinjuku station is just around the corner and There is SO much to do around the area. Perfect hotel for a Tokyo stay!

It is a love hotel though, so if you are uncomfortable with flipping through the channels and randomly hitting porn, this probably isn't the place for you. The only cons: 1) The bed was really, really firm. I believe the bed was closer to a traditional Japanese futon than a western style mattress. 2) I believe smoking is permitted in the common areas, so the lobby and hallways can smell like cigarettes. Not a big deal, but if you are someone who has a really strong aversion to that smell, that might be a turnoff.

Greeted by the super friendly manager(who spoke excellent English) and shown to the spacious room(with a kindly offered gift waiting for me). Sauna room was bliss and a something I didn't expect. Housekeeping was superb and leaving/returning hotel was no hassle at all. Near to Golden Gai and Shinjuku/Shin Okubo stations. 5*; absolutely recommended - mainly due to exceptional customer service.

Felt very welcomed by hotel staff and Suzuki who spoke good English. Great in-room amenities and clean.

We loved our stay at J-Mex! The service was fantastic, the room was so well equipped - in-room karaoke, steam room, spa, foot massagers for rent! The location is great, easy walking distance to great bars and train stations, and the room was so quiet (due to soundproof walls!) we slept fantastically.
