Very nice, updated hotel. No coffee in room, but available in the lobby area. They did have Kurig, as the coffee was not hot in the coffee dispenser. Staff was friendly and great! Rooms are smaller, but cozy, clean and updated bath area. Robes provided which I always find nice when I travel.

This is a top chain facility that benefits from being central to the Village of Saranac Lake, NY. If you like exploring the Adirondacks, this hotel is a must stay. The Great Room is a must see.

We stayed two nights in cold rainy weather, but the hotel was a highlight of our trip.Large rooms high ceilings and updated. Nicely taken care of, and we enjoy the vintage touches from the grand style of living. Staff that we interacted with at reception and breakfast was very friendly and professional.

The Good: clean, safe, convenient, walkable, easy parking, shops, restaurants, staff, the ADK vibe while staying in a very comfortable hotel.

Staying at this lovely old hotel is like a step back in time but with all wonderful modern amenities. Rooms are comfy and handsome and interesting. So much fun to stay here! Staff is the best!

This was our first time staying at Hotel Saranac and we really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in December. Check-in and check-out were effortless and the staff was helpful and friendly. We loved the restaurant in the hotel, Campfire Adirondack Bar Grill, definitely get the burger, my husband hasn’t stopped talking about it, one of the best he’s had and the temperature was perfect. The craft cocktail at the restaurant and the bar on the second floor were delicious and were perfect for the season. Parking was free and very easy to find as it’s right next to the property. The hotel is also walking distance to the town and local shops. Highly recommended the Blue Moon Cafe 10/10. We’re already planning our stay to come back in the summer for some hiking and we’ll be staying here again.

This hotel is a treasure! Like stepping back in time to the ‘20’s! I loved the bar/sitting area on the second floor. Stunning. Comfortable beds and convenient free parking. A coffee maker in the room would be a nice add, but on the flip side, I enjoyed chatting with the guy who was setting up the coffee area. He told me all about the ghosts who supposedly live in the hotel. Then I googled the stories and really enjoyed reading them. I would love to come back for a murder mystery weekend or just an anytime stay. The guy at the desk when we checked in and out was super nice as well.

This was the second time I stayed there. There wasn't a fridge or microwave. Kind of in convenient. But all in all a comfortable stay.

Very nice hotel. The room was small but was perfect for my short stay. Clean and very comfortable bed. The only drawback was I could hear the ppl next to me after 10pm. Service for breakfast was a little slow. The happy hour in the Great Hall was nice and the bartender was attentive. The bartender in Camp Fire was great too! Very convenient to everything!

We stayed in a suite. Separate building, spacious room and very quiet.

This is our second time stay at this property and even though we like the location and the ease of parking and dining places, the cleanliness of room this time was very disappointing. Shower had hair and dirt spots. Carpet had multiple stains and sticky spots. There was a dead bug in the coat closet. Our comforter cover had yellow stains as well.
Overall was not too happy with the room this time.

Hotel was in a great area and we was in walking distance to restaurants and shops . Hotel itself has a restaurant (we didn’t eat there) but did visit the great room with bar and entertainment and outdoor patio . Overall would stay here again if needed , room was clean, location was good , parking was easy , staff was friendly. . Negative - room was small, no refrigerator , pretty sure the reservation said there was one . The 2 bottles of unopened water on the side table had been there so long they had condensation on the inside upper part of the bottle . Yuck 😕 last negative for us the shampoo , conditioner and soap are large refillable bottles on the shower wall . I’m all for reducing waste etc but I would never use these items in case someone tampered with them . Luckily I am had my own with us .

The hotel is branded as part of Hilton’s Curio hotels - Curio for curious I suppose. The hotel is a renovation of a very old Saranac Lake hotel, and that leads to its oddness. The rooms are very small - mine was just 9 feet wide, and with a small window. The bathroom is likewise small - just a shower and no bath. The tight space meant that I had to step into the shower and reach under the shower head to turn on the shower, so receiving a spray of cold water before the water got warm. But the room was well appointed and pleasantly designed, and everything seemed clean. The entrance foyer is attractive and has preserved some of the old features. There’s only one elevator, however, with a quite small car, and that will lead to long waits at busy times. I ate in the hotel restaurant three nights. Avoid the burger - it was unpleasant - but my other meals were ok.

We had an absolutely impeccable experience for a quick couple's getaway at the Hotel Saranac. From check-in to check-out, everything felt special. The room was quiet and comfortable, the staff incredible, and the onsite dining was perfect. We very much enjoyed our cocktails each night in the Great Room Bar as well. The location is great...within walking distance of almost everything in Saranac Lake, including some hiking and walking trails and it is also very centrally located if looking to spend some time in Lake Placid, Tupper, or Paul Smith's. We can't imagine staying anywhere else!
