It was a nice breakfast, the staff was very nice and helpful, the pool was lovely in the heat. The location is perfect just beside the royal palace.

The hotel and staff were wonderful. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast, the pool, a massage. The staff were friendly and always willing to help if we had questions. The hotel was also well located and within walking distance to many sites.

A short but pleasant stay. Accommodating staff and gracious room was very pleasing. The roof top bar is really nice and worth a visit! No issues.

Staff really make this place - they are so friendly and welcoming throughout the property. Highlight is the swimming pool and being able to chill out during what has proven to be a heat wave during our stay. The breakfast buffet while being quite an extensive spread, creates a traffic jam. The room we had was a traditional style with heavy dark furniture and dim lighting making it feel oppressive. Huge room, comfy bed, decent shower.

nice hotel, however my business associate came to visit and they tried to make me sign a document implying she was a prostitute and the hotel does not allow that. i admit she was dressed a bit provocatively...however she is not a prostitute....i did not appreciate that.

Very good central location, easy walk to the main sights and along the riverside. Comfortable, quiet and large room with excellent amenities. Good breakfast and cocktails by pool. Only negative point is that the pool is too cold to swim in after sightseeing as it's surrounded by trees (which are relaxing and pretty), so it doesn't get warmed up by the sun. Overall a great place to stay in the city.

Such a good experience. Very nice hotel with a beautiful pool area surrounded by palms. Excellent breakfast buffet, a huge room with a view, great fitness room and awesome service from the staff. I highly recommend.

Our stay started very poorly at check in, where they made us wait 1 hour before we could get our room due to some kind of "electrical problem". It was past 6pm, rooms are supposed to be ready for guest by 2pm. I know stuff happens, but at least they could have given us a drink or somethigh instead of dumping is in a corner with no info.
Afterwards the room still had an electrical problem. Basically unless the light is on the power outlets would not work... who exactly thought this was a good idea?
Bedding was poor quality also.
Breakfast was decent, their rooftop bar is good, and main restaurant has nice staff but below average food.
Overall would not come back. We came 5 years ago but it was much better last time.

The hotel is very conveniently located for the Royal Palace and the the various amenities nearby on the river front. The service from all the staff is exceptional and the rooms are huge.

A resort hotel next to the royal palace. The rooms is a bit old and not soundproof perfectly. Staff, bed, breakfast, swimming pool, gym are all good and worth the money.

Staff wasn’t very friendly or helpful when asked out tours and things to do. Property in need of update; the rooms were musty. Restaurant food was not the best for a 5 star and the buffet is dated and needs an upgrade also. Wait staff was non-existent for most of the dining experience. Defiantly not recommend or rate it more than a 3 star property. It’s ok but not great.

Great staff and amazing pool area with happy hour deals. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious but don’t feel super comfy. The bed was okay, pillows better. A great place to stay for a stop over.

An absolute jaw dropping hotel and great location for sightseeing! The rooftop bar, restaurant and pool are stunning and serves excellent gourmet cuisine and drinks. I will be staying there for all Phnom Penh stays!

In the city of Phnom Penh it is nice to have a rest of the hustle and bustle. Palace Gates is just that, an oasis with excellent quality in food, spa, pool and most definitely attentive staff. Loved my stay worth every penny.

I stayed at the Palace Gate Hotel on two separate occasions during my two week trip to Cambodia and would definitely stay there again. A unique, quiet oasis in a prime location; just a 5 minute walk to the Palace, Street 240, and the riverfront. A fantastic breakfast buffet, tranquil pool and a roof deck bar that allows you to see inside the Palace grounds. The front desk staff is also outstanding. Completely worth the price.

Very friendly service. I forgot my credit cards in the save and the staff found and kept it for me at my return to the hotel. Highly recommended also the unique view from the organic sky bar. Location of hotel is top.

Good facilities, good location, good hospitality
I like the bathroom, small table inside really thoughtful, really hot water, nice weight scale. No problem for coming back next time.
The only thing to think about is, if there are more vegetarian options in the restaurant menu, it would be great.

Property is beautiful and a good value. I really loved it but the front desk staff, including the check-in and check-out process needs a lot of work. It took15 mins to find my reservation which I had on my phone. Front desk is challenged and seemed inexperienced. Otherwise a great property.
