We stayed here for just one night unfortunately as we would have loved to stay longer. The staff does everything to help with planning trips. They work with very devoted guids. For us Elisabeth arranged our guide Christmas who took us to the waterfall and learned us a lot of birding in Uganda. He also took care of the last minute permits for the gorilla tracking. The chalets are beautiful and very well installed with good beds and a spacious and nice bathroom. Shower with hot water without having problems. Food was also good. And of course the beautiful vieuws of the forest. Just 5 minutes to the gate for the Gorillatracking. Highly recommanded!

It is a bear getting to this area for gorilla trekking but once here, you’ll feel thankful for the Rushaga Gorilla Camp. The views are stunning here and there are ample places to relax, catch your breath, and take in the beauty that surrounds you. The room had everything that we needed and food was easily accessible (if average). The team at Rushaga took excellent care of us. Our only regret is that we’d not added an extra day at the property after our trek.

Rushaga is in a very isolated part of Uganda, far from any major town of city. Keeping this in mind, the stay was absolutely fantastic. For the limited food supplies they should receive, the meals was well prepared and well presented. The staff is very friendly and always willing to assist. Elizabeth is absolutely fantastic and nothing is to great a ask for her. Only negative. Before dinner, entertainment is arranged in the form of either the Batwa Pygmis, so some school or orphanage that sings and dances. The negative is that these groups, after performing, asks for donations and they just stand there, looking at you, making you feel guilty. I did not have cash on hand on one of the occasions and felt embarrassed because they just kept staring. I appreciate the performance, but a heads-up would have been nice that the groups will ask for financial contribution/donations. Back to the positives. It was my wife's birthday and Rushaga (with Elizabeth at the helm) went out of their way to make her day special. They made the room up with decorations and balloons, at dinner they sang for her in their traditional way and baked a cake for the occasion. Thank you Rushaga!!

Travelled with my son to Rushaga gorilla camp. Absolute fantastic! Beautifull setting. Authentic decorated rooms. All very clean, with private badroom, hot and cold running water and shower. The staff is very friendly. Helpfull with whatever advice you need for the tracking or your stay at the lodge

Rushaga gorilla camp was a wonderful two night stay and very convenient to the gorilla trecking at Rushaga gate. The food was all good, the staff was friendly, and the rooms were comfortable and quaint.
The only negatives were that the staff, on more than one occasion, offered to do something and then later told me the cost. That is bad customer service- it's not that the costs were too high- but that there was no expectation of having to pay. For example- one of the staff offered gloves for me to use on the trek- that ended up being almost $10 to rent the gloves that I only found out upon check-out. Someone also stopped by my room to offer to clean my shoes. Again, I said that I could do it but the staff member insisted- again, there was a cost associated with that. I encourage you to let your staff know that this is not good practice and that people will be more than willing to pay but they need to know up front.

Beautiful setting overlooking the forest. Staff helpful. Road to lodge bumpy and windy. Rooms accessible by stairs up and down side of hill. Room was partly tented and there were some cracks, etc to the outside so bugs can come in. Plumbing on the basic side. Have to flush repeatedly. Water stayed hot sufficient for shower. Electricity can go out but there is a generator. Overall good value for money. This is the middle of nowhere and the surrounding nature will make up for it especially if you see the gorillas.

Great location, very close to park gate. Friendly staff, good food, clean and amazing views! I highly recommend staying here before your gorilla trekking.
