The staff is very friendly but we felt we got less value compared to similarly priced Riads around Morocco. The beds were extremely hard, the room was dirty, and we were shocked that the toilette is in the bathroom. There was also a smell of still water from the bathroom that was very uncomfortable. This place has a very pleasant rooftop, though.To me this felt more like a bargain hostel than a hotel.

Our breakfast spread was Moroccan dishes which included freshly squeezed orange juice, mint tea, coffee, msemen, beghrir, croissants along side cheese, butter, honey and jams. The place will likely be a bit noisier during busier times of the year because you can hear people walking in the alley outside. Perhaps that's the case because our room was on the ground floor.

I loved this Riad! The room had enough space. The AC worked perfectly! The bathroom was clean. The lovely ladies that work there were very attentive to our needs. We would totally come back to this Riad!

The lady who received us was sooo helpful and nice. She tried to make us feel comfortable and pleased with suggestions of where to eat and visit. My only complaint is that our air conditioner didnt work so we couldnt sleep very well and the tv didnt work either. Since they dont have reception 24 hours we couldnt complain. Our room was #5.

The riyad is very very close to the blue Gate and the beginning of the Medina of Fez. The Riyad itself is very nicely decorated with typical Moroccan style. The breakfast was very good and the people at the reception Hasna and Sana are extremely nice and friendly and so was the owner of the house. The only downside are the high steps which is slightly uncomfortable for those not fit, and over 55 years. But this is a typical Riyad. and this is the real Morocco. I would definetely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a decent place, for a decent price with a Maroccan flair.

The best part of this hotel is that the hotel staffs are super helpful with friendly attitude. I was able to find a tour from Fes to Marrakech with desert tour, and the medhina guide hotel arranged for me was very knowledgeable. The only negative point is that the air conditioning in my room didn't work well.

Staff was been great and very kindly.. I was been in family. We also tried the typical dinner and I found it very good. We had have a problem with the water in our room but the staff had promptly resolved it. Dar el Mathaf is close to the main roads and allows you to visit the medina comfortably.

The washroom in the room is super smelly. We can smell it even with the bathroom door closed and the shower door can not be closed properly. There is water everywhere. Also, there is no cleaning service if you stay for two nights continuously.

Good value for money,ladies that work there are very polite and if you need any help find Anas,the owner,very polite and educated person,available to give you a hand, in this different and a little bit dangerous for the tourists country! Thank you Anas!

I stayed in three sifferent raids. If I were to return, this is the one I would stay at again. The raid is small but the staff wae super helpful and kind. They speak English which was so helpful. Upon arrival I got a brief history of the riad and important information for navagating the medina. They arranged excursions for me that I enjoyed. This did not happen at the other riads I stayed at. That extra personal touch makes a huge difference in one’s stay.
