I travel to New York for a family matter. The agent (Hana) assisted me. She greeted me immediately as I walked to the counter. She was professional, courteous, and compassionate about circumstances. My contact with each employee was even pleasant and professional. I will be back in New York, and I plan to stay at the Spring Hill Suites, and based on my experience, I would recommend it.

Nice and clean hotel. The location was great for us because many sightseeings were close by and we were first time in NYC.

Location was convenient to Broadway, Madison Square Garden, Penn subway station. Room was very small for our family of 4 but relatively quiet. Breakfast was included but the hotel was packed and so eating there was chaotic because no where to sit. A couple mornings we just grabbed coffee and left so not to have to deal with the crowds of people.

Good service good staffs! We got early check-in in the morning cos I am a member of Marriott Group. WiFi speed fast. They did very good in details. A lot of USB plugs and surprisingly they hv ionic hair dryer. Good location which is close to subway and train station.

The place is very much packed and the rooms are extra small.

Location is about halfway between Penn Sta. and The Port Authority Bus Terminal, both easily walkable. The staff in the lobby were great and always helpful. The elevators worked fine, but sometimes were too full so we had to wait. Only real complaint is the quality of the breakfast: large volume, institutional sort of stuff

A super location 2 blocks from the Amtrak, easy few blocks to Times Square, a great hotel, the rooms are small but everything you need is there.
Very comfy bed, excellent heating system.
Great free breakfast. Bar available.
Easy check in, staff are efficient.
Concierge sorts transfer by minibus to airport. Free luggage storage.
Would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay here. We are a family of four. The room was tiny, but clean and well-appointed. The breakfast was amazing to have one less meal to worry about. We used the workout gym and spent some time in the lobby. We were also there one night for the free happy hour from 5-6. We do not drink but enjoyed non-alcoholic drinks. The location was perfect, there was a parking lot around the corner on 9th, that I had found on Spothero. We walked to a show one night and were very happy not to be in Times Square. We would stay there again.

Stayed here for three nights. Excellent location. Very friendly helpful welcoming staff. The free breakfast is a bonus, sets you up for the day. The price was reasonable for the location. Nothing fancy about the rooms but it serves the porpose. They also hold your luggage if you arrive early before check in

The place was very nice, staff were great when we arrived and helped during the trip.

Hotel is clean and facilities are nice. However, rooms are extremely smalls. I paid for a King Studio and I got a Queen bedroom with no space even to place my luggage open. Too small and not King at all.

A wonderful hotel in an excellent location. Centrally placed for all the midtown attractions and easy access to Penn Station for the subway and links to the Airport- JFK - in our case. Friendly check in and exceptionally good staff and a perfectly adequate breakfast to prepare you for sightseeing in this amazing city. Managers evening drinks are a real bonus too as you don’t get much free in NYC. Rooms are plenty big enough and clean and well appointed. I’d happily stay there again. I’m ne other little tip if you’re cruising from NYC Manhattan terminal and don’t have too many bags you can actually walk there more quickly than a cab!!!

Property was in a good location for walking. Just need to be aware of your surroundings at all times. Staff was wonderful!

Pros: staff was lovely, great location near MSG, clean and well stocked breakfast. Cons: low bed, very small dark rooms

Very easy access to Madison Square Gardens & Penn Station. Easy to get from Newark Airport & subway. Walked around easily & felt safe. Pretty decent breakfast which saves $ as a tourist. Occasionally, we smelled nicotine smoke in our room which wasn't appealing as non- smokers. Room could get humid so we pushed on cool air for a bit (in Feb). Overall - very friendly staff and was a good fit for our needs & budget. Will come again.

Problem with the buffet the morning… too small for the number of people.

+ Decent location, safe and breakfast was decent not fantastic, clean rooms; times square, penn street and theatres nearby
= Service was mixed - bags, cleaners and breakfast great, asking about facilities non-existent, realistic price
- Elevator slow and full, view non-existent, rooms small, room really dark, no main light. Surrounding area stank and dodgy.

We came in early just to drop off our bags but was able to check-in early which was great. Every one was nice & welcoming! Location was also very accessible to the train station & subway. Will definitely consider staying here again!

Perfect place to stay if you’re looking for extremely rude staff and maintenance men trying to enter your room. Breakfast area is too small for the amount of guests.

Thank you for arriving earlier than the check-in time and checking in comfortably.
The accommodations were comfortable and quiet, so I stayed without any inconvenience.
The breakfast was also satisfactory.

The room is clean. Staffs are kind and friendly. Free breakfast is not so attractive though.

Positive side about hotel was the cleanliness and the breakfast. They had a good breakfast with lots of variety of food. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance from Penn Station, Times Square, and Madison Square Garden. The negative side about the hotel was the front desk staff. When I arrived to the hotel, they couldn’t find my reservation and I was charged a $150.00 hold fee. I was never made aware that there was free breakfast and the time. I was not told about the free beer and wine from 5-7 pm. I was not happy about the $150 charge. Overall, I would look for another hotel when I come back to NYC. Just be prepared that you are going to be charged $150 after you had paid off your reservation.

The room was clean and on the smaller side. The heater in the room wasn’t working. We had to technician come in to fix it but later in the night it stopped working

From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted and felt welcome. The hotel was conveniently located, clean and quiet. The staff was exceptional especially Christopher, Zoe, Jeffery, Justin and Omar the bartender was AWESOME!! We even met some really nice people. Highly recommend this hotel. We will be back next year in the spring or summer time.

The front desk worker - Christopher - was absolutely wonderful when we checked in and throughout our entire stay. The location was great for walking to different destinations. Had a great time

The team at check in could do better they were all over the place and could not do multiple things at once, make sure to have a physical card, they don’t accept tap payments! The rooms were amazing and the staff every else except check in was the best! Def get break fast and it’s in a great location to walk anywhere and everywhere

Staff was amazing and very professional. Rooms were very nice and good sized for New York living. Perfect distance to walk to everything you want to see but not in the middle of the hustle of downtown.
6.0
We had a good stay here, but I can definitely see how some people would not like it. It was a great “home base” for us and we didn’t spend a lot of time there. Before booking, you need to ask yourself what your priorities are and whether certain things would bother you.
Pros:
-Location, location, location. We walked to Broadway shows, Central Park, time square, intrepid museum, and more. The subways station is super close and a straight shot to lower manhattan.
-Very friendly and helpful staff
-Clean rooms
-Daily housekeeping
-While we were there, the majority of the other guests were friendly Europeans on holiday, which set a cool vibe
Cons:
-Breakfast is stressful. We tried going at all different times and it was always completely packed with nowhere to sit. Also, I kept seeing guests filling their bags with several croissants, muffins, peanut butter packets, etc. so items are constantly running out. We bundled up and ate outside, but it was pretty cold and no one else chose that option and you just see people standing in the center of the crowd with plates of food, looking around with expressions of despair.
-The Happy Hour is silly. It’s packed and you get a tiny plastic cup filled with three gulps of beer. We only went once and decided it wasn’t worth it.
-The sliding “barn style” bathroom door is really hard to open and close. I’m not sure if they’re all that way, or if ours was broken.
-We took the stairs the entire time to avoid long elevator lines.
