This was the one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Service was awful not helpful what so ever. The restaurant were closed for a couple days so all that was open was the Buffett.
I would never stay here again

The resort was fine: the things we really liked were the kids pool area, the room, the scheduled activities (water polo, beach volleyball, Mexican party).
The areas needing improvement are the food (not enough variety/ quality for breakfast and lunch), the service (took too many reminders to get a drink by the pool), and the lack of a hottub.
Felipe did a nice job showing us around and making us feel welcome. Ismael was a good server and friendly.
If you can afford something nicer, probably do that, if not your stay here will be fine, it just won't blow you out of the water, unless you're the foam at the foam party.

This hotel receives lots of poor reviews. My experience was okay. Upon checking in, no one gives you a map, a list of the restaurants or any verbal communication about what restaurants are open, where they are located, etc..We didn’t even get told the correct floor to go to. Our room number started with a 4 so we naturally went to the fourth floor to find that room didn’t exist. We then explored other floors and discovered they all started with 4. Our room was in the sixth floor. Nobody at reception had the courtesy to tell us. All the other employees were delightful at the restaurants and bars. The food was good and the buffet had many options. When we went the pool to get towels, they said we needed a towel card from reception. We were never given towel cards at check in and now the line at reception was out the door. Much is needed to improve the check in process. Otherwise, food was good, friendly employees, clean rooms and beautiful spot.

First time here, first day the reception MIA was not friendly or welcoming at all. She argued with my husband on the towel keys in front of all the guests. She DID NOT provide towel keys!! A formal complaint was filed, MIA has no business working first contact with clients, it is clear she does not like her job!
The rest of the stay was great! YOLANDA pool waitress was the best!! Because of Yolanda we will come back to Krystal! Omar, Sergio and Brisa also were great! The service they provided made our stay at Krystal Grand VIP as we like it ;) thank you team see you again soon!! MEOW MEOW!

Beautiful property & excellent service. Best spot on the beach! Would definitely stay again!

Check in was good, room was ok, bathroom was small and shower and toilet needs some work. Kids splash pool was a little underwhelming but it did the trick for a day. Resort should consider renovating a serious kids splash park and play area. This is something cabo is truly missing.

We were extremely apprehensive about the mixed reviews about the "ALL" Inclusiveness of this resort before we booked but for the price point we proceeded to check it out.
Remember you are on resort time while you are there. Long waits for check in, reservations, and drinks. Most everything is included, BUT there are exceptions... Gelato - of all things???, Cabanas, Steak and Lobster.
All areas of the resort are NOT included unless you are in Altitude package(?) We are still not sure what that was about.
It was difficult to get information about resort and activities. Maps, directions and labeling of places not well defined. After the week there we figured most of it out.
Food..
If you want to eat at one of the sit down restaurants, you need to make a reservation on that day, starting at 9 am, plan on waiting in line to do so! VERY frustrating! They need to change this and allow restaurants to open earlier for more reservations. Order everything that you want at once, because service is poor and they push you out, especially at the Asian and Italian places. As for the Buffet, the food is very bland...and that's saying a lot for a bland eater that has a sensitive stomach! Rooms are nice and clean, with great views and we did not purchase an expensive package. All rooms possibly have a view in which we could tell. AC can only stay on with use of your key card for room or towel key card inserted. AC only will cool to 21.5 degrees C.
For price & 2.5 rating a good value for $

They said there was vegan food options but there was very little options other than steamed veggies. The pasta was stuck together and bland, so the food was a bit disappointing. Sometimes the servers would not take our drink orders and we had to get them ourselves. The TV was mainly spanish channels and things were falling apart in the room. But the staff was amazing and made the resort a better experience.

It’s a terrible experience. Not friendly staff. Reported the disturbing noises in the room to the front desk right after checked in with a video showing them the noises. They said they will send someone up but no one showed up and the issues didn’t resolved. So we checked out early right after the first night because we couldn’t stand the place. It’s an inclusive hotel but only a buffet that you can get in. Other restaurants open for dinner only and you have to make reservations in advance. They all booked so we couldn’t get in. The buffets is very limited choices and no good food. What’s the point of inclusive that you cannot even use? Not worth the money of $450 a night. Bad experience.

The stay was overall good. I would say the Kyratal Grand is a good place to stay on a budget.
The hotel is a little dirty in some areas, It is understaffed, and sometimes there are gross smells.
The food is alright, but you have to make sure to get a reservation or you are eating at the buffet which can be hit or miss.
All the staff are way friendly and helpful.

Krystal Grand was nice! However, the hot tubs were both broken, and our mini fridge was not stocked up. We requested at least twice for waters and they told us that the fridge was already filled even though it never was. They eventually gave us extra waters and fixed everything, but it was a really nice hotel still.

The resort staff we’re very accommodating in every area. We had a one bedroom suite and it was very clean every day and housekeeping and mini bar staff were very attentive. There is a small shopping centre below it which was handy. The beach was very clean and beautiful as well as the pools.

I made reservations with my other family members. Upon check in everyone in our family had a room even though they checked in after me. My family had to wait while everyone else was able to go to their room. My husband haggled the front desk and they eventually gave us a room after asking 3 separate times. No one ever restocked our mini fridge the entire stay. I called and was told someone would be in at 9 am to restock. Never happened. My sister in laws room had a leak on the shower that flooded the entire bathroom and she had to bath her infant in the sink. No one offered to move them to a room that worked properly. The customer service was really really bad. The waitstaff was amazing. The pool staff was amazing. But the front desk needs to work on accommodating everyone as best they can and equally. If you’re Mexican you get treated much better vs being white. My husband is Mexican and it took him going to the front desk to demand a room before they would listen to me even though I asked twice politely before him. That made me feel so terrible. I probably won’t be returning for our yearly Cabo trip to this resort ever again.

This property was worth what you pay for it. It was clean and the staff were friendly. Lots of good food at the restaurants where you make a reservation. The pool food and drinks were also nice. Some of the property was in a bit of disrepair (ie. stains on the balcony chairs and couches in rooms).

Loved the coffee shop! Internet connection need’s to be improved. No currency exchanged at front desk?and cannot break large peso bills? In a large resort we found that odd. Resort needs nightly entertainment of some sort? Singing dancing, much like the fiesta dinner night!

Decent for the price but 6/10 overall. Food selection 4-5/10

Cant swim in the ocean at this location due to the strong current and undertoe. There is a area about 20 min drive down towards san lucas that you can swim at, but its also limited for the same reasons

This resort was perfect for us, it was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Right on the beach but the water is too rough to go in but Chileno beach is a quick bus ride away for some snorkelling. The food was delicious, we had the tomahawk steak but my favorite was the Hibachi table at Ayami. They do have a timeshare spiel which was probably one of the least painful ones we’ve ever done. Eddie was fun and entertaining and they weren’t overly pushy or rude.
You can only get bottled water and canned beer from room service (unless you upgrade to the Altitude Club which from what I’ve heard really isn’t worth it) and throughout the week we had some minor issues with our phone, ac & toilet but they were super quick to rectify them.
Free wifi worked great all over the resort property.
The only downfall I would say about this resort is that there isn’t much of a night life. Most resorts have some type of evening shows but here there’s not much. Nobody was ever in the karaoke bar, people hung out in the lobby bar in the evenings but there’s not much seating and it’s not super inviting/comfortable. They did have a band in there one night which was good.
I really enjoyed getting specialty coffees at the Take a Bite coffee shop but there are coffee pots in the room as well.
We were able to see some whale & dolphin activity right from the beach most mornings and the sunrises were beautiful. I do recommend the Krystal Grand and will definitely go back.

I rate this hotel 0 stars! Terrible, terrible hotel! I’ve been to a number of all inclusive hotels and this definitely has been the worst experience so far. Let’s start from the beginning. We arrived at 2pm and they didn’t have our rooms ready which is okay because check in was at 3pm. Once it hit 3pm, we didn’t get our room until 3:30pm because it wasn’t ready which is unacceptable especially after a long flight and with a hungry and tired toddler. Food in general was terrible. It is bland and doesn’t taste fresh. I thought it was just me but while in the pool, I overheard others venting about the same. The staff is a hit or miss, some were very rude while others were nice. It’s frustrating to get mean waiters with attitudes when you’re on vacation mode trying to enjoy yourself. Rooms and facility are definitely not as pictures portray. They have potential but some stuff needs repair and updating. None of the machines work in the gym. The snack bar closed at 6pm so we arrived at 5:50pm and were told they were closed. We then went to the buffet which you’d think would be open but was closed. It opens until 6:30pm. This is frustrating especially when traveling with a toddler. WiFi doesn’t work anywhere. Lastly, our final night we saw 3 cockroaches. We will be arriving to our home and disinfecting everything.
All in all, I regret booking and staying here. Honestly would have paid a few hundreds more to stay elsewhere and have a much better experience.

There was some updates and some older parts to the resort. It was nice for the price. Staff was super nice, helpful and accommodating. Guests we interacted with were fantastic. Overall good relaxing vibe.

Dining: only 2 dining options available per night which was not advertised (there were more restaurants than 2). Dietary options were not clearly marked on the menus or at the buffet. And the staff were not educated on dietary restrictions or requirements. Food was poor quality and we ended up eating offsite a couple of times because we couldn’t take it anymore. The restaurant menus were not a reflection of what you received and several occasions the food either arrived cold or had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for far too long. My boyfriend had ordered eggs Benedict and the sauce was like gum on the top.
WiFi: We had no Wi-Fi access in our room. When we asked for help at the concierge, they just told us that the WiFi wasn’t that strong and a lot of people play video games and that’s why we didn’t have WiFi. What?!!!
Amenities: The hot tub was cracked and dirty in our room. Since we had no WiFi, we could not use the TV in our room. The room phone was broken and we couldn’t call the concierge for room service. Every time we needed something, we had to walk to the lobby (because the WiFi wouldn’t work!). We asked for more bottled water and they would not give it to us and said we had to wait for our room to be cleaned.
Adult pool: hot tub was not hot, and was disgusting!! Very dirty.
Overall, this place was probably very nice at one time but has really gone by downhill. It was a very disappointing experience and I would recommend that you avoid this resort.

We had one of the best weekends ever here. It is all inclusive from food and drinks. From.the moment we got there the staff was incredible. Honestly the best service I've ever had at a resort. They are so accommodating and i even had help from the concierge service to have the room decorated for my girlfriend birthday before we got there. It was beautifully decorated with balloons, flowers everywhere, wine and cake. She was so happy and surprised. The service is exceptional. Everyone is always asking to help you and if they can get you a drink. The resort is right on the beach and the buffet food is one of the best I've ever had. Definitely recommend staying here.

Honestly, the property looks like it has been neglected for YEARS. It's a one-star at best - really. Unfortunately, the all-inclusive model forces them to put most of the money towards average food and drink. The staff tried hard and were nice, but the facility is falling apart. My balcony door literally would not shut without a one-inch gap. Try another place.

If you like mediocrity, then this place is for you. Mediocore food, activities, entertainment and service at times. Pools cold.

The food was average in quality and there was some variety daily. The buffet service was poor. The setting and pools were very nice. But we thought two pools were supposed to be heated and they were not. There was plenty of space and chairs around the pools. The front desk staff were not at all helpful when our flight got cancelled. The worst part was the traffic noise 24 hours a day but especially at night as the hallways are open to a main road. Simply fixed by adding weather stripping to the door and partially enclosing the hallway but obviously this resort does not care about guests sleeping at night. The best part was how beautiful it was and the wonderful and friendly guests we met. We would not book this resort again.

I was worried after reading the reviews, but our experience was great. If you can, book in the ocean front rooms which gets you VIP - Altitude Club. You get a concierge that can make all of your dinner or in-town dinner reservations. Esmerelda was fabulous! Also, Josef and Manuel on the beach were great. The sky lounge is fabulous and our room was clean and had an amazing view -- whales every morning right off the beach. The only downside was the food. Breakfast is your basic food. The fish tacos and fries at pool bar are great!!! The dinner food is mediocre. Overall, great time and would stay there again. Check in went smooth - room was ready.

This Property was amazing! The first day the airport LOST our ONLY luggage’s. As you can imagine, we were so uncomfortable and angry. The staff is AMAZING ! Alex (Alejandro) point of contact/helped us for everything, Alex, Diego (sales) and Mario (concierge) helped us get through everything. Told us where to get clothes and made appointments for us to eat.

We visited for Christmas and had a great time
Exploring. It is definitely a family type vibe. Food was okay it could have been better but it was convenient. Didn’t find out how to access the activities until the last day. Make sure you get the QR code when you arrive so you can stay on top of all of the activities. We didn’t participate in any as we rented a car and spent a lot of time sightseeing. We paid an additional 200$ to upgrade our room which was actually a smaller room than what we had. We went from a one bedroom to a double room, we were a little disappointed with that but when we tried to change back they showed us the worst room in the resort, didn’t even have a tv and there were holes in the wall. So we stayed with the “upgraded” room. The only plus was it was partial oceanfront.

Same food breakfast, lunch, dinner in the buffet?
Mediocre dinner options that require reservations, by waiting in a physical line at 9 a.m.? No phone calls? Only two restaurants open per day, is not what we are used to in an all inclusive resort. The food could really use some work.

The booking fee (despite any indication otherwise) is for one person only— even when you book for two people which is the default app setting. After paying $230 for one night (two of us needed a place to sleep since our Alaska flight was cancelled), we went to check into the Krystal Hotel and they wanted to charge an additional $250 per person on arrival. There was no way around this, I asked to cancel and did not check in. I spoke with customer service immediately. Hotels.com refuses to issue a refund despite lacking information about the additional charges. This was a very dishonest and unsettling experience. i would never stay at this hotel and probably won’t use hotels.com again. In addition, another guest at the front desk complained that the hotel had stolen their credit card information. I found a hotel on the app and called directly, got a better rate and no hidden extra changes— we got to support a local small business instead of this terrible Krystal hotel that is managed and owned by a company in Singapore.

The staff at the hotel were great. They made or stay enjoyable. Marco at check in, Yolanda as a server during the day around the bar. Pedro the bartender at the swim up bar! All were exceptional.
6.0
The resort was good. There were limited seatings to sit beside the pool. There were very few sunbeds as compared to total people staying in the resort. The people will reserve them at 8 am and you will be lucky if you get one to sit and relax after you have breakfast. The all inclusive option was great but the buffet restaurant will run out of ketchups, napkins etc. There was not enough planning as compared to people staying. The resort also lack entertainment piece. They should have more evening entertainment. The only event we were into were live music andmexican fate in our one week vacation. Young couples/families love some sort of entertainment rather than just dine and sleep. It willliteraly dead by 8pm. I will not refer this resort to anyone, neither will go back.
