The room was clean and well equipped with towels, toilet tissue and facial tissue. Unfortunately, I couldn't adjust the air conditioner so it did get a little stuffy. There seemed to be a sewage back up when I got there. But it was corrected within a day.
Overall I truly enjoyed my stay. I will stay again.

My son plays for WCU and had a scrimmage game so searched with Hotels.com and found this place at half the price of the other hotels/motels in the area!
I stayed two nights and it was amazing! I was greeted with a big welcoming smile by the owner and check-in went quick and smoothly. My room was surgically clean and fresh with an amazing view of the surrounding mountain's, every room has rocking chairs out front to relax and take it all in.
The service was awesome, I needed an iron and a blow dryer and they delivered it right away.
Another thing I loved is that they are 100% dog friendly!
I'll definitely stay here again because its conveniently located within walking distance to WCU football field.

This could be a very nice place with a little more attention to detail. Its got a great location in proximity to the university and there are decent food options close by. But the inside of our bar fridge and microwave were both dirty upon arrival. The curved shower curtain rod had been poorly installed so it sagged, making it impossible to keep it closed which causes a lake on the bathroom floor everytime a person bathes. The place wasnt even at half capacity, and they gave us one of the small rooms on the back side of the building when the rooms on the front are much more spacious and go for the same rate. I felt that was rather inconsiderate and not in the best sense of dedication to customer service. The staff was friendly and helpful when they were around, but on a friday night at 7 o’clock I tried to get fresh towels at the front desk. I rang the bell and waited for ten plus minutes, came back and tried again a half hour later, then repeated that a third time before giving up and going to dollar general to purchase some.
Granted it is the cheapest place to stay in the area, but with a minimal amount of extra effort this place could be very nice

Sink would not drain. TV remote was old, broken, and barely worked.

A amazing stay! The room was clean and smelled terrific. Location was perfect. My daughter stayed at the WCU so the drive to see and pick her up was less than 1 mile. Will stay here again. The price was amazing too.

Great price and room wasn’t dirty, but the area around it is a little sketchy. Probably wouldn’t go again. Felt a little unsafe.

My weekend was centered around the University and I spent most of my time there. It is a basic hotel with a convenient location so it is perfect for me. I stay here every time I am in the area.

We would definately stay again. Staff were friendly, the rooms were decent for the price. Beds were comfortable but made a lot of noise when turning over. The bathroom was updated although the tub seemed small. The entrance door to room didn't look like it was closed all the way, until the dead bolt was locked. No luggage rack or hangers to hang clothes in the room. Just a suggestion, which ever door the fridge is in I would remove the door to cabinet completely. Also, the stairwells need sweeping/cleaned.

Very old and very unkept property. Employees were very nice but just don’t go.

The bed could have been softer. The bathroom ceiling was falling. But, for the price and what I needed it for, I would stay there again for the same circumstances.

I got a discount and that price seemed fair. Killed 10 roaches but seemed clean otherwise. Desk clerk was nice. Beds slept fine. Room was quiet. Neighbors were quiet. Overall the stay wasnt bad for the discount rate.

It was really great, very simplistic room setup which makes it good. Felt more like a house than a hotel. Would definitely return. Price is really good!

The lady at the front desk was soo nice and very friendly. The room smelled soo bad of something similar to moth balls and old cigarettes maybe. A few light bulbs were not working. The “comforter” had multiple cigarette burns in it. I say “comforter” because it was as thin as a sheet. The pillows were super flat like the cheapest ones you could buy at Walmart. My teenage son prayed before sleeping and said it looked like a place someone would take you to end you lol He wouldnt change because he was afraid there were cameras hidden. Yes, it was very sketchy! They did have free coffee in the morning. The vending machine was mostly empty and had maybe 4 items in it.

This place worked out for us just fine. While definitely older and dated, the room was very clean, it was quiet and we felt safe. Perfect way to overnight for reasonable price at tge height of leafpeeping season. We were up for a wedding in Sapphire/Cashiers so it was bery convenient.

I got to the property at 1:30am and after check in i drove around the back to locate my room and there were a bunch of people in the back with loud music playing and smoking and drinking. I was already annoyed about that. Then I get into my room and I see bugs on the walls and the floor dirty. I had to kill the bugs and hope there weren't anymore. My wife and i took a.shower jn a very dorty tub and start gettinf ready for bed and then I go to change the temperature for the AC i find a bunch of.other bugs under the AC unit. Trash bag was not changed. Bath tub was dirty and not cleaned. My wife and I were exhausted and went to sleep. I booked the room for 2 nights and only stayed one night. I checked out at 8a cause i couldn't stay there a minute longer. I was offered another room but i was extremely disappointed in the experience.
Id like a redund for this inconvenience. I paid to stay for 2 nights and enjoy my weekend and i had to find another place to stay.
This is very inconvenient id like my money back.

There appeared to be some sort of party in the parking lot running well past midnight. Beds were really uncomfortable

Seriously for the love of God do not stay here. I’m from Atlanta I’ve seen it all but this is obviously a place for addicts. Parking lot full of the loudest group of sketchy individuals that I’ve seen a hotel allow. It’s absolutely insane that this place is even open. I’ve had a hard time hearing myself think to even write this message. I will take the lose on the $120 they charged for a Friday night I refuse to stay here I would rather stay in a hostile for that.

So many bugs in the room, one even landed on my wife’s head! we lost water for the second half of the first day and wasn’t turned on until the earliest 11am the next day. The bed is just springs that whisper the word bed to you as you try to get somewhat comfortable. Vending machine ate our money so no food and no water for the majority of the first day. I don’t think they should of been open at all, And they were very rude to my wife when she went to ask when the water would be turned on. God forbid she wanted water. There’s other hotels close to the university if that’s what you are looking for.

The property needed updating. Room had an smell to it.

0 stars. Toilet wasn’t stable, bathroom floor was disgusting, refrigerator full of frozen ice from freezer, lights didn’t work, overall outdated and dirty. Worst part was my door wouldn’t lock. There were men hanging out in the parking lot being loud all night. Didn’t feel safe or clean. Will never stay here again.

Though the room was clean and comfortable, there was a general appearance of disrepair and being run-down to the buildings and grounds. Absolutely bare bones in terms of typical amenities/services, e.g. AC hard to use and barely functional, room fridge iffy, ice machine broken, no morning coffee, swimming pools out back long abandoned and in total disrepair.
2.0
The receptionist was nice, nothing else was. The chain lock on tge door was broken, there were many flying bugs in the room, bed was poor, the base made noise when you turned, there weren’t any cups at all to even brush your teeth. At check in I told the receptionist I was going to get some ice. She said the ice machine was broken. She gave me a small clear plastic bag of ice, tied at the top, no container of any kind in the room to put the ice in. There was a fridge and microwave inside a typical cabinet, but not even a cup to heat water in. Overall not very nice.
