Great location, fantastic staff, great design/decoration. Hotel feels warm and has nice touches like bathrobes, real coffee cups etc. Rooftop bar is great for drinks and great breakfast served in the restaurant down stairs.

Our first time at this hotel. Clean, conveniently located in old port area; near restaurants, activities. Staff helpfu, personable.

A fantastic overnight stay. Large spacious room and gorgeous bathroom. Very clean and comfortable. The rooftop lounge, Luna, is spectacular and the employees are top notch especially Kaitlyn and Mary.

We were discouraged to find out there was no pool nor was the roof top bar and fire pit outside seating was not open our first night. We were told that the rooftop was closed because of a private party on our second night. So paid for 2 night anniversary getaway and couldn’t use this amenity. No microwave in the room! No small area to buy notions. The mattress in their king room was too soft and it appeared to make you sink at your head and your feet slightly elevated - not very comfortable! A little sad our view was of the parking lot and not that of Casco Bay.
I would only give this hotel a 2 out of 5 stars.

I loved my room and the entire hotel. Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Rainfall shower, nespresso, robe, clean and quiet. Comfy room. I loved everything

Very nice staff especially the valet. Beautiful rooms and very convenient to the civic center!

I didn’t like the lack of free parking. Be prepared to pay $40 a day for valet parking. Other than that nicest hotel I’ve stayed at that wasn’t a resort.

Very convenient location. No frills hotel.

The aircon made a rattlibg noise when on and when turned off. The beds are strangely made- when pulling back the top sheet & duvet, to get into bed, the bottom sheet pulls out too. So you end up remaking the bed. The bathroom is very stylish. Ice make is very accessible.

WORST Hilton I’ve been to, very unfriendly front desk.

Beautiful hotel. Beautiful room. A bit lacking in customer service- we checked in and the tv was not working. A repair person came to the room and could not repair it. Rather than calling us to say we are moving you as a result, they called and said it can’t be repaired. We had to ask if we were being moved or what the solution would be. They did move us but it was the initial response by the staff that could use some training and education.

Relatively new property was well kept and convenient. Water pressure a little low, and strangely enough, ran out of hot water the morning we were leaving, but otherwise, a very nice room, and a very nice stay.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Both bars are great. There were a couple of minor issues. The biggest problem was that one of the 2 elevators was out of order for most of our stay and there are no stairways that are accessible from within the hotel (I know this sounds unbelievable, but we asked the staff. The stairways go from the upper floors straight to the street with no access to the lobby level; no way to get from the lobby to the upper floors without the elevator). Sometimes the wait for the elevator was really long, especially when Luna was open and groups of people were going up and down from the top floor. At one point the elevator line was out into the Salt Yard.
The water machine on our floor was also out of order one of the nights and we had to go to a different floor for water.
The only other thing was that the iron is EXTREMELY leaky. It has a leak proof sticker on it but totally soaked the ironing board and the garment we were ironing; ended up steaming it in the bathroom instead.
Overall though it was a very nice stay.

Very nice hotel great location for exploring Portland. The room was spacious, comfortable and shower is amazing!

This was a nicely built hotel and the staff were truly great, but, it was a new building and in an extremely cold area.
The dust in new construction air, along with the extreme cold, almost immediately dried my sinuses completely out. I eventually developed a full-blown sinus infection, I suspect from the irritation. I am still nursing that infection and it almost ruined my trip.
It was 12 degrees outside when I pulled in. There was a draft somewhere in the room, so, even though I had the temperature set to 76 (the highest it would let me set it to), it was far colder than 76 in the room, and it made it difficult to warm up when I'd come in from outside or take a hot shower, because the breeze in the room just kept recirculating the cold air from the draft. I had to wear two sets of clothes in the otherwise great room.
There was a restaurant inside that served espresso and some food. The food was okay, but the espresso was completely tasteless. It was like water. I admit, I'm a little demanding about my espresso, but anybody can sip that espresso and immediately know something is off with either the brew or the bean. The first day I got a latte expecting a balanced latte and I couldn't tell there was espresso in it. It just tasted like milk and sugar. So next, I got a cortado. Just tasted like milk and sugar. Eventually I ordered a double-shot of espresso with steamed milk on the side. Sipped the espresso and it tasted like coffee-flavored water.

It was a very nice place to stay over for a night in Portland. My only wish was that they had a better dinner restaurant for room service. I was pretty tired and am a bit lame theses days so having to go out to a restaurant was a bit of a challenge. Especially when it was advertised as having two restaurants. Which they do but only one is open in the evening and it's more of a cocktail lounge with light fare.

never disappoint! Can’t wait to stay here again

Great, modern hotel with a great range of amenities to enhance your stay. Loved the water machines and free coffee downstairs, along with the well equipped gym and roof top bar. The room was huge and very comfortable. Being a Canopy, it gave the feel of a boutique hotel but with the amenities of a Hilton. The location was also perfect.

This was my first stay at a Canopy and I will definitely be staying here again when I come back to Portland. The hotel is new, bright, clean and comfortable. Room was modern and had everything. The gym was perfect.

We paid over 600 dollars a night for a king room with an advertised waterfront view. We got a room with a view of a parking lot. When I called the desk they told me they had no waterfront views and the picture on the website was an error. There were in fact great water views, just not on the third floor. I recieved no call back, no apology. All customer service is not the same here. I heard an older gentleman on the phone giving great customer service , unfortunately we got the person who seemed quite bored and not into their job at all.
