Its a decent place to stay with lots of bonus goodies like ice cream after the Onsen and manga library. Also free eveing ramen. However the pillows are terribly flat and uncomfortable. You also CANNOT use the onsen if you have tattoos.

We enjoyed our stay at Onyado Nano. It was very nice - it would have gotten higher ratings but the bed & pillow were the worst on our trip.
However - the amenities were fantastic. Breakfast was amazing with so much variety. They had a mostly Japanese breakfast and I don't think I normally eat this much even at dinner but I had to try everything (good thing the portions were tasting size). There was also a happy hour as well that we took advantage of after touring.
The onsen was really nice. They had different pools, including a cold pool and a sauna. Just so you know, this hotel caters to mostly an Asian clientele so the onsen tends to be very busy at times (around 6-8 am and then around 7-9pm). Also this hotel is shoeless. You put your shoes in a locker and wear slippers or socks around the hotel.
I'd stay here again but bring my own pillow!

Fantastic. First thing we noticed was no obvious signage on the hotel. Once inside you are asked to remove your shoes and put them in a locker. Rooms are perfect, very cumfortable beds and very quiet. The whole place has a sense of serenity. The communal baths were popular even yhough we did not use them.

What a magic find! Loved every minute. Close to the fish market and other areas of interest. This was our most Japanese hotel experience. Talking off your shoes at the front door sets that special tone.

It is a very nice clean hotel. Excellent breakfast with fresh tempura, many hot and cold items. The Onsen is wonderful!

Onyado Nono is part of the big Hotel chain, Dormy. It presents itself as a tranditional Japanese Ryokan but with a western twist. The entire hotel is 'Shoe free' zone; which is quite unique even in Japan. The hotel has a hot spring bath, so you can try the Onsen experience without going to an Onsen town, for those travellers whose time are tight, this hotel provides that Onsen experience without spending a few hours visiting an Onsen town. One of the surprise to me, was their breakfast, it has plenty of food and the quality of the food are comparable to local restaurants. The sashmi and the tempura at breakfast is top quality. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It is also very close to Kanazawa station and the Omicho market. It was a very enjoyable stay and I can't find any negative things to say about it.

We stayed at a "sister" hotel in Osaka and found this one to be either newer or better maintained than the one in Osaka. I found this property very attractive in its natural, zen style architecture and furnishings. The Japanese "onsen" (hot springs bath) was in a natural setting surrounded by trees and rocks and offered a view of the stars while soaking in the hot springs. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The facilities were clean and felt very safe. I would strongly recommend this property and would definitely stay again!

This hotel is a blend of traditional ryokan and modern hotel. The lobby and rooms are tatami so no shoes. Convenient shoe locker is provided. The room is good size by Japanese standards and very comfortable. I wish there were hooks for my jacket in the entry, especially considering how much rain Kanazawa receives. The location is perfect, next to Omicho market and near the castle and koen. The bus stop across the street goes right to Kanazawa eki. The rotenboro is amazing and there is free ice cream, laundry and coffee. It is a lovely hotel.

Good location. Nice spa. Price could be too high.

The fact, that you take off your shoes on the entrance and walk the entire hotel barefoot in tatami mats is great.
Staff was super friendly and their english was very well (what should not be tanken for granted in Japan!).
The public bath in the rooftop was a perfect place for relaxing after a long day of walking and exploring the city of Kanazawa. Although the Location of the hotel is great. It can be reached from the train station by foot in around 15 min. The major sights of the city are all reachable in around a 15 min walk from the hotel.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and would Love to come Back ourselves one day!

This was my first time at an Onyado Nono property, and I was pleasantly surprised! It provides a Ryokan experience, but at affordable rates with the convenience of being central in the city.
The premises were extremely clean, and the experience of walking throughout the entire building in tabi or slippers contributed to the feeling that the entire space was meticulously looked after. Such a wonderful experience!
The breakfast buffet was outstanding, of high quality (exclusive ingredients from specific regions, tempura cooked before your eyes, etc).
I look forward to repeating and returning often :)

Nice hotel. Has an onsen spa including a sauna and cold plunge pools; very nice with a pleasant atmosphere. No shoes in hotel; hotel provides yukata for wandering about the hotel. Free ice cream treats after completing onsen; free ramen bowl late night snack. Pay for breakfast, but it is quite the spread, well worth the price. Omchiyo market is one block away; worth a visit plus super fresh seafood. Nice!

We thought it was great that we had to remove our shoes before entering the lobby. It kept the hotel clean and it enhanced the onsen experience. The staff spoke English, which was very helpful. The onsen was beautiful and loved the variety of baths. The free ice cream and ramen was an added treat:

Very good inn with helpful employees and japanese-style rooms. Also an Onsen on the last floor where you can relax in hot water while having a view on the city

Don't book here if you have tattoos and want to use the bath.
The hotel needs to advise on the listing that people with tattoos are not allowed to use the bath. I specifically booked here because of the hot springs, and had to pay an additional tax for the hot springs, but on the paper rules they gave and the fliers in the hotel clearly state that people with tattoos cannot use the bath. This is their right, and I know Now that most onsens prohibit tattoos, but they should put the policy on the hotels.com listing for dumdum foreigners like me.
Upon check-in the desk person was nice enough to give us some stickers to cover them, but it was a weird conversation about how big they were and where they were located on our bodies. Since the onsen is so particular about washing thourougly before entering, it felt weird to go in with 10 large adhesive stickers stuck on our bodies. Also, the rules stated that no matter the seal, tattoos are not allowed. Period.
Everything else was great, free laundry, free ice cream, free coffee, free midnight noodles, nice room, very quiet, roam in the provided Pajamas. It was just a big bummer we couldn't use the bath.

We stayed in the same hotel at Sakaiminato and wanted to stay in here again when we went to Kanazawa. Although the food variety is less than the sakaiminato location, it was still fabulous in terms of food, service, cleanliness, etc! Highly recommend and would definitely come back (maybe even try their other locations)

Very clean

Overall the onsen and breakfast meets our expectations and are their strengths. For areas of improvements the Wi-Fi were not very good which was surprising these days. We opted for no cleaning and they did not refill the free water and rubbish did not get cleared so be careful if you want to opt for no cleaning for environmental reasons.
