I stayed in Dubbo on the way down to Melbourne from Brisbane. The hotel I stayed in was run down and dilapidated. This had been my previous experience with other hotels in Dubbo as well. For that reason, I decided to stay in Parkes on my return trip back to Brisbane. And am I glad that I did! The Parkes International Motor Inn was so much better. Clean, refreshed bathrooms and a great meal down at the Railway Hotel. I will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Only issue was the pool ,the owners apologised they had some caretakers look after the property and they hadn’t cleaned the pool effectively and due to new bypass bring built nearby the red dust had build up in the bottom of the pool

I just can’t find anything poor about this property. Even down to shelf space and clothes hooks in the bathroom - my usual pet gates. Extremely welcoming owners and spacious rooms have this property in my all time top 10. And fantastic value as well. A real winner.

The motel is suitable for one night stopover. On arrival was given key and room number. Car park was shabby and requires holes to be repaired. Gardens needed attention. Rooms were adequate with meal plates and toiletries were very good although the sink tap screamed in our and the adjoining rooms. The air conditioner was noisy.

The staff were exceptional, the king room was clean, spacious and accommodating, the bed was very comfortable, the motel position, even though on the main road, was quiet enough to get a good nights sleep.

We were driving from Melbourne to Brisbane and didn’t arrive until late. Staff had left the key out for us, turned on lamps and the heater which was very much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean.

over the years have had lots of ordinary overnight stays along the Newel Hwy , however this place was very clean nice bloke at front check in - just a pity the restaurant was
closed that night -so after a 14 hour drive had to then drive into town - but very happy with the place -will definitely stay there again on our trips to Qld

It would have been a lovely stay had there been electricity and hot water. The relieving managers did their best during our stay. However a discount on the accommodation and rooms cleaned would have made a difference. Felt disappointed.

We did an overnight stay and the property had all I expected. A minor items required me to attend the office and the reception was very prompt and attentive to help.
